In a rare and explosive conversation hosted by ex-RAW operative and PM Modi's former bodyguard Lucky Bisht — actor Sooraj Pancholi opened up for the first time in years about the trauma he faced during one of Bollywood's most high-profile media trials. From his arrest at the age of 20 to being shunned by the industry and battling alone for over a decade, Sooraj's revelations are both heartbreaking and deeply disturbing.

'I was just 20… and suddenly I was a murderer' - Sooraj Pancholi
Recalling the incident, he said, 'I come from a film family — my mother is an actor, my father is an actor. My father had a strong image, especially during his peak years. He was very outspoken — he said whatever he felt, and if he didn't like something, he reacted openly. Because of his image, people assumed I was the same. Naturally, there was a lot of media attention, and I was very young at the time. I was just 20 or 21. At that age, when so much is happening around you, it's hard to even process it, let alone respond to it."
He added, 'The charges were initially under Section 306. Later, the police also added Section 302 as well. No one really knew where the pressure was coming from. Our Investigation Officers were getting constant calls, asking them to press charges under Sections 302 and even 307. There was a lot of pressure, and even they seemed worried about it. To this day, I don't know why there was so much pressure or who it was coming from.'
On industry support — and why it didn't come
Talking about Salman Khan's support, the actor shared, 'It's not like Salman sir helped me because we had some personal connection — we have nothing to do with each other. But he supported me, even during my worst times.'
Further, revealing about not receiving support from others in the industry, he adds, 'Still, I understand why I didn't receive much support back then. There are two reasons. First, my father isn't close to anyone influential in the industry. His circle of old actor friends has remained the same. He's never worked with a big studio, so naturally, I've never been in touch with people like Karan Johar or Dinesh Vijan — I don't think I've even met them. The second reason is the legal case. From a producer's point of view, casting someone involved in an active investigation is a risk. If the CBI calls, or there's a trial, the shoot could get delayed — and that means losses worth crores.'

'I struggled for almost 14 years… but I never gave up'
'So yes, I'm smart enough to understand why there was hesitation or delay in supporting me. But that's life, sir. Whatever happened, happened. Still, I chose to fight. I tried to stay in the industry. I worked hard. I never gave up. I didn't spiral into depression. I didn't turn to drugs or alcohol. I just kept going.'
'Nobody wanted the truth'
When Bisht asked him about media trials, Sooraj responded, 'Nobody wanted to write the truth. Media did not want to talk about the positive. I still don't know what they wanted at that time. Did they hold a grudge against me?"
'When I was released, the court clearly stated that the letter I was arrested for should be investigated by handwriting experts and the CBI. And what did the court say? That the letter was not written by the deceased. There was no matching handwriting. The diary that was found at her house belonged to her mother — and even that didn't match her handwriting. But no one talked about it. So I ask — why was I arrested? On what basis? On the basis of that 6-7-8 page letter? If that letter was fake, then why was I arrested? Why was I charged? Why did I spend 12 to 15 years fighting in court? I genuinely don't know.'

Why Salman Khan Thought He Wasn't Right For Chak De India: ‘I Left It Because...'

Last Updated: Shah Rukh Khan wasn't the first choice to play the lead role of Hockey coach Kabir Khan in Chak De India. Shah Rukh Khan's Chak De India is a timeless classic that continues to inspire audiences with its powerful story and memorable performances. The sports drama not only won over the audience but also became a success at the box office, despite a low opening. But did you know that Salman Khan was initially offered the role of Hockey coach Kabir Khan? So, what went wrong? Let's delve into the story behind the scenes and discover why Salman Khan passed on this iconic role, paving the way for Shah Rukh Khan's masterpiece. According to various reports, Salman Khan's fee demands for Chak De India caused a disagreement with Aditya Chopra. However, during the Sultan's promotion, Salman Khan finally cleared the air around these speculations and opened up about the real reason behind opting out of the superhit film. The Bajrangi Bhaijaan actor, known for his witty answers, jokingly said, 'I left it because even Shah Rukh Khan should be a part of a few great films." Salman also shared that he had doubts about taking on the role of Kabir Khan, citing concerns that it might not align with his image at the time. 'When I was offered Chak De, my image was totally different as I was doing Partner and all those kinds of films. My only thing in Chak De was that my fans would expect me to wear a wig and win the match for India, which would not go for the film. That was not my genre at that point in time," he revealed. Salman went on to emphasise that it was a more serious film with limited commercial appeal. He said, 'It was a more serious kind of film and I was doing more of a commercial kind of cinema, which I am still doing. I would never move out of the commercial cinema zone, but it is just that there would be a lot of meaningful cinema in the commercial zone." Chak De India, directed by Shimit Amin, was a massive hit in 2007, becoming the second-highest grosser of the year after Om Shanti Om, another SRK blockbuster. First Published:

Nikki Bella's return spoiled by current champion with subtle mention of her divorce on WWE RAW

Image via WWE Nikki Bella made her return to RAW this week in her hometown. The June 9th episode of Monday Night RAW took place at the PHX Arena in Phoenix, Arizona. It saw the return of the hometown hero and WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Bella, which saw the crowd erupt for her. She came down to lay out her plans for the future, only to have her homecoming spoiled by top star of the current women's division. Nikki Bella appeared on WWE RAW after her appearance on the debut episode of Netflix At the Money in the Bank Premium Live Event, it was announced that Nikki Bella would be making an appearance at the following edition of RAW. The fans already saw Bella arriving in the building and having some interactions with the stars of the current division, like Natalya, Maxxine Dupri, and the WWE Women's World Champion, IYO Sky. In the second hour of the show, The Fearless One came out to the ring to loud pop from her hometown audience. Nikki Bella herself felt enthralled to be back in front of the WWE Universe on live television. She addressed and applauded the current crop of women's division that has been taking the revolution ahead, which Nikki and Brie had been a part of. In doing so, she namedropped some top women like IYO Sky, Rhea Ripley, and even the new blood on RAW and SmackDown like Roxanne Perez and Giulia. This led to an angry Liv Morgan storming down to the ring to get in Bella's face. She felt insulted that she was not mentioned in that conversation, as she had been on top for the better part of last year. Following this, Morgan and Bella took highly personal shots at each other. Morgan even went on to say that she had everything, including a man, while Nikki Bella did not, referencing her divorce from Artem Chigvintsev last year, and called her nothing but a reality show Diva. Bella was leaving the ring, but these comments pushed her to the limit, and she turned back, only to be taken down by an Oblivion. With this altercation and WWE Evolution 2 on the horizon, a program might be developing between the veteran and current top star.
