Scots OnlyFans teacher who sold x-rated pics to be hauled in front of watchdog

Kirsty Buchan claimed she began using the adult site to make money amid a pay row.
A teacher who quit the classroom after it emerged she was selling X-rated pictures on OnlyFans is to be hauled before an education watchdog.
Kirsty Buchan, 34, left her role at Bannerman High School in Glasgow when her explicit sideline was revealed.

The physics teacher claimed she only started to post images to make money amid a pay row. She later claimed to have made £60,000 in just one month by sharing photos of herself on the adult site.

Glasgow City Council launched a probe into Buchan and referred the case to the General Teaching Council for Scotland (GTCS).
Buchan, a mum-of-one, is now set to go before a disciplinary panel where she faces three allegations against her.
The GTCS allege that between 2022 and 2023 she set up an OnlyFans page using the moniker 'Jessica Jackrabbitx' and used the profile to sell explicit photos and videos.
It is said her bio on her page read, 'good teacher gone bad really bad', and made reference to posting 'big t**s and sexy tight body' photos 'every couple of days'.
She is also accused of failing to ensure that her profile could not be accessed by any member of the public including those under 18 without them needing to log in or subscribe to OnlyFans.
Buchan, of Coatbridge, Lanarkshire, is further said to have given a newspaper interview in December 2022 while still employed at the school about her decision to join OnlyFans.

The GTCS claim her actions were 'lacking in integrity', failed to take steps to stop her being identified and risked bringing the profession into 'disrepute'.
It is said her fitness to teach is 'impaired' and that she is unfit to teach.

Buchan had previously defended her decision to join OnlyFans.
She said: "You can hate me if you want. I don't like narrow-minded people who make judgments on folk they don't truly know.
"I have an everyday woman's body and don't mind showing my flaws. This is about standing up for my story and OnlyFans and promoting feeling good about yourself.
"I'm not looking for the world, just to be able to provide for my son."
A virtual hearing is set to take place on Monday and then continue later in the week.

Greg Monks 'likely to have fallen into ravine after attempting to scale fence'

Gary Monks' body was discovered down a ravine after he disappeared during a stag do in Albufeira, Portugal, a week ago, and a police source has said what likely happened A Scot whose body was discovered after he disappeared while on a stag do in Portugal is thought to have fallen down a ravine to his death after he jumped a fence while lost, according to police. Greg Monks, 38, disappeared during a stag party in the tourist trap of Albufeira in the early hours of May 28, sparking a desperate search that saw his heartbroken parents and girlfriend fly out to help find him, reports the Mirror. ‌ Greg was last spotted on CCTV in the residential area of Cerro de Aguia, located roughly four miles away from the main bar area and it is believed he was trying to return to his hotel. On Wednesday, Portugese police confirmed that the body of a 38-year-old man had been discovered in the search for Greg. Sources from law enforcement said investigators believe Greg, from Glasgow, got lost and fell to his death as he tried to get back to his hotel. ‌ Authorities said that having investigated possible paths he may have taken, they tragically found a body in the Cerro de Aguia area where he laid undiscovered for a week in high temperatures. The police source added: 'There is nothing at this stage to indicate this man's death was linked in any way to a crime. But we need to wait for the autopsy results to conclude that is the case.' He added: 'Our belief is he lost all notion of where he was after drinking heavily and finding himself in an unfamiliar place, and that he jumped over a wall and fell to his death.' Forensic officers have been seen at the ravine where Greg's body was found, gathering evidence. Authorities had said that the body was found "on a vacant and very uneven terrain" and that it was taken away for an autopsy. ‌ Following the heartbreaking news that the body had been found, Greg's sister Jillian paid a heartbreaking tribute calling him "an amazing boy". Balaclava-clad youths on motorbikes terrorise Edinburgh residents as police crackdown on gangs

The youngsters were caught on camera in Edinburgh. Cops have vowed to clamp down on balaclava-clad yobs who were caught on camera rallying dirt bikes along a busy Scots street. It comes as locals and police continue to tackle the illegal use of motorbikes in Edinburgh. The group were spotted cruising down St John's Road in Corstorphine on Tuesday night. Three bikes all carrying two individuals were seen, four of those without helmets and wearing balaclavas. ‌ Two other youths were seen with both a balaclava and a helmet on as they travelled together down the busy road - two riding off-road bikes and another riding a moped-style bike. ‌ Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! The group were reportedly seen in the same area on Monday night and according to locals, one of the bikes was spotted on social media with the rider filming themselves pulling stunts. Similar bikes are often seen across the city dodging in and out of traffic and pulling wheelies, with those riding them rarely seen wearing helmets, Edinburgh Live reports. It comes after we reported how a large group of Edinburgh bikers teamed up with officers at Police Scotland to help identify where bikes are reportedly being 'stashed' by thieves and identifying those responsible. The group are also taking time out of their day to help track down stolen bikes within the city and reunite them with their owners, as well as frequently reporting sightings and suspicious activity back to police. Special police operations have also been targeting the use of illegal motorbikes in Edinburgh, with several being seized in recent weeks. Between May 26-29 police in the south west arrested 11 individuals. Six vehicles, including e-bikes, were also seized. Several e-bikes were also recovered during May, with those riding them charged with alleged road traffic offences.

Teacher accused of upskirting girls fled to Australia to return to class

Dean Barr was accused of looking up girls skirts and down their tops. A teacher fled to Australia for work after he was suspended in Scotland over claims he "upskirted" female pupils. Dean Barr, 36, had been working at a school in Helensburgh for seven years before he was accused of a series inappropriate behaviour towards teenage girls - including looking up their skirts and down their tops - as well as making a number of unwanted comments. A probe was launched by the General Teaching Council Scotland (GTCS) in June 2023. In October that year, he was placed on a Temporary Restriction Order preventing him from teaching while the probe continued. But Barr headed to Western Australia in April 2024, where he applied to register as a teacher. During the process, he failed to declare his involvement in a disciplinary process or the concerning allegations against him. In June that year, he landed a job in the Design and Technology department at Halls Head College, in Mandurah, near Perth, where he worked for four months until the country's education department was made aware of concerns around his fitness to teach. Teaching officials then contacted colleagues back in Scotland, before discovering the shocking details of the investigation into his conduct. It is alleged that in March 2020, Barr slapped the pupil on the bottom and said 'Oh that couldn't have gone any better". In the same month, he is accused of messaging pupils privately on X, formerly known as Twitter. Between August and October 2022, the former business teacher allegedly called pupils 'pretty' and referred to them as cats, brushed a pen on a female pupil's face, bent down to move boxes so he could look up two pupils' skirts and whispered in a female pupil's ear while looking down her top. Barr also allegedly made unnecessary contact with pupils, repeatedly putting his arm around them. In November 2022, Barr asked one female student if a ladder on her tights was 'a ladder or a stairway to heaven'. It is understood the GTCS are still investigating the reported behaviour after being contacted by education officials in Australia. Barr's employment at Halls Head College was terminated in December 2024, after the allegations in Scotland came to light. A parent of one of the girls who accused Barr of inappropriate behaviour told of her shock at the news he had moved countries to secure another teaching job. She said: "He thought he avoid all this because he moved to Australia. But someone stopped him. Hopefully now some action will be taken." The mum said her daughter is "traumatised" by the alleged incidents. ‌ She said: "My daughter said it started with a comment and it took nearly four months for her to tell me something was wrong. She would do anything not to go in to school. After a while, I didn't recognise her because she was shell of who she used to be. She is still traumatised and has serious trust issues." A spokesperson for Argyll and Bute Council said: "Appropriate action was taken at the time. As this is an ongoing General Teaching Council for Scotland (GTCS) and Police investigation, we are unable to comment further.' A spokesperson for the GTCS said: 'We do not comment on individual Fitness to Teach cases for legal reasons."
