Dutch far-right leader Geert Wilders quits coalition over asylum policy
Dutch far-right leader Geert Wilders said on Tuesday his PVV party would leave the governing coalition, toppling the right-wing government.
Mr Wilders said his coalition partners were not willing to embrace his ideas of halting asylum migration, for which he had demanded immediate support last week.
"No signature under our asylum plans. The PVV leaves the coalition," Mr Wilders said in a post on X.
He said he had informed Prime Minister Dick Schoof that all ministers from his PVV party would quit the government, after he had decided to leave the governing coalition.
