NBA's Most Valuable Player
award before Game 2 between the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Minnesota Timberwolves kicked off.

tattoo.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander surpasses three-time MVP Nikola Jokic with a huge margin to become the NBA's next MVP
Oklahoma City Thunder point guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander showcased a marvellous performance throughout the season to win the much-deserved MVP award.
Other contenders in line include the former three-time MVP Nikola Jokic, former two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo, Jayson Tatum, Donovan Mitchell, LeBron James and Cade Cunningham, among others. Amidst all these players, Alexander emerged to be the winner with 71 votes in his favor.

Tattoos are symbolic in nature, and athletes across different sports categories resort to them in order to represent a particular ideology within themselves. The rest of the NBA MVPs without a single bodily inscription are Nikola Jokic, Joel Embiid, Giannis Antetokounmpo, James Harden and Russell Westbrook.
The last player to have won the MVP award with a tattoo was Stephen Curry for the 2015-16 season. Even though Westbrook has kid's names tattooed on him, it was after the player was declared an MVP. Westbrook got his tattoos in the year 2020 and he was awarded the NBA's MVP much before, during the 2016-17 season. Reacting to the list that went viral, one of the users wrote, 'Westbrook has his Wife's name and kids name tattooed… he did it Father's Day 2020'
Another user wrote, 'Which one is the most surprising not having tats? Low key Jokic seems like he would be tattooed. Also Brodie. Harden in third. Everyone else not surprising. Shai is too wholesome for tats.'
'Real hoopers are back in style'

Aaron Rodgers ditches Packers' No. 12 for Steelers' No. 8 with a bold Jersey switch that raises eyebrows

Aaron Rodgers' jersey switch from No. 12 to No. 8 marks new chapter (Image via: Getty Images) Aaron Rodgers' move to the Pittsburgh Steelers has captivated NFL fans. After 18 seasons with Green Bay wearing the iconic No. 12, Rodgers surprised many by choosing No. 8 in Pittsburgh. This bold jersey switch not only sparks debate but also signals a new chapter for both Rodgers and the Steelers . A new jersey and a new beginning for Aaron Rodgers Aaron Rodgers' jersey choice carries weight far beyond a number. No. 12 is synonymous with Steelers legend Terry Bradshaw, whose Hall of Fame career included four Super Bowl wins. While Bradshaw's No. 12 isn't officially retired, it hasn't been worn since 1983. Rodgers opting for No. 8, a number he wore with the Jets, is a clear sign of respect for the Steelers' history, while embracing a fresh start. Beyond the jersey, Aaron Rodgers brings a decorated legacy: four NFL MVP awards, a Super Bowl ring and MVP, and 10 Pro Bowls. But after a tough 5-12 season and an Achilles injury, this move represents reinvention. Rodgers is betting on a comeback, and the Steelers are banking on his experience to revive their playoff hopes. The Steelers haven't advanced past the Wild Card round since 2017. Adding Rodgers could finally push the team into serious contention in the AFC North. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Esto es lo que actualmente cuestan unos audífonos Top Audifonos Undo The No. 8 jersey, worn by several players but never tied to a franchise icon, marks the beginning of a new era — with eight players having worn it in Steelers history, including Ev Fisher (1940), Elmer Kolberg (1941), Tommy Maddox (2001-05), Josh Scobee (2015), Karl Joseph (2021), Melvin Ingram (2021), Kenny Pickett (2022-23), and Corliss Watiman (2024). While none have reached the legendary status of Terry Bradshaw, the number carries its own legacy within the team. O Canada: Finals matchup between Olympic teammates Gilgeous-Alexander and Nembhard getting attention

OKLAHOMA CITY — The NBA Finals. East vs. West. Indiana vs. Oklahoma City. Canada vs. ... Canada? It sure seemed like it at times in Game 1 of the series, anyway — and odds are, there will be more of those moments throughout the rest of this matchup between the Pacers and Thunder. There are four Canadians in the series, and two of them — NBA MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander for the Thunder and Andrew Nembhard for the Pacers — went head-to-head plenty in Game 1. Gilgeous-Alexander scored 38 points; Nembhard scored eight of his 14 in the fourth and was on the floor for the entirety of Indiana's 32-16 run that ended the game and turned a 15-point deficit into a one-point win. 'He's a competitor. He's a winner,' Gilgeous-Alexander said. 'Plays the game the right way on both ends of the floor. Really good player. Yeah, he's a winner for sure. No doubt.' They have been playing alongside each other since they were kids and were teammates on Canada's national team at the Paris Olympics in 2024. And they saw plenty of each other on both ends of the floor in Game 1, plus weren't afraid to mix it up with a little extra push here or choice words there. Nothing over the line, but enough to remind the other that it's all business right now. 'Nothing more than two guys wanting to win,' Gilgeous-Alexander said. 'No malicious intent behind it, just wanting to win.' Oklahoma City's Lu Dort and Indiana's Bennedict Mathurin are the other two Canadians in the finals. The four Canadian players combined for 72 points in Game 1; that's the most ever in any finals game by players from any individual country other than the U.S. That smashed the previous mark for points from Canadians in a finals game; it was 34, all from Jamal Murray, for Denver in Game 3 against Miami in 2023. 'It's amazing for our country,' Nembhard said. It's not just Gilgeous-Alexander who has long-time familiarity with Nembhard. Thunder forward Chet Holmgren played with Nembhard at Gonzaga as well. 'Obviously, he's my guy, great dude,' Holmgren said. 'I have a lot of compliments for him as a basketball player and a person. But we're playing against him right now, so I'm going to hold on to all those.' Pacers coach Rick Carlisle knows the Gilgeous-Alexander vs. Nembhard matchup might be viewed by some as a game within the game. He said Nembhard 'loves the challenge' of matching wits with Gilgeous-Alexander. 'I mean, you don't stop players today,' Carlisle said. 'You try to make it hard. He played with Shai on the Olympic team and so they have familiarity. They are both from Canada and they both have played a lot with and against each other over the years. But this is the ultimate challenge, a guy like him who is the MVP.' NBA: /hub/NBA

His teammates could be seen sitting on the chair next to the one he has placed his feet on. — HoopMixOnly (@HoopMixOnly) The post reads as, 'You can tell Bron been spoiled all his life 😂' and it sparked a heated debate among fans.
