The TV icon has never shied away from celebrating her 'mum bod' - but her latest holiday snaps have left me concerned

I LOVE Stacey Solomon, I really do.
I've known her since she was on The X Factor as an ambitious 20-year-old and felt for her when her latest reality show 'Stacey and Joe' was slammed - why, then, did the pics of her glorious curves this week hit me like a ton of bricks?

But Stacey was abused by vile trolls for showing off her natural body

As she posed in her orange bikini on holiday in Lake Como this week, she looked happy, healthy and carefree.
Sadly the vile trolls unleashed a torrent of abuse on her with one cruelly saying "She's let herself go" while another added "Ozempic needed".
And as I absorbed the comments, it hit me how long it had been since I had seen a celebrity body that looked like my own.
Recently it feels like on social media I am constantly bombarded with tiny toned bodies, perfect pert bums and impossibly flat stomachs.
Even when I put down my phone it's on our TV screens as the new season of Love Island kicked off with girls in barely-there bikinis and not one belly roll in sight.
It's quite a worrying trend and it's left me feeling uneasy that being thin is so back en vogue.
I grew up in the era where pals lived by Kate Moss's mantra 'Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels'.
Having struggled with my weight since my teens and having tried (and failed) to do every fad diet going, I've always felt inadequate.
I was grateful for the rise of the body confident movement, and I totally embraced it.
Finally I could feel comfortable in my own skin because celebrities like Adele, Rebel Wilson and Lizzo - who looked like me - were saying they felt sexy, too.
But over the last 12 months I've seen curvier (and actually not-so-curvy) celebs slim down at an accelerated rate with the rise of fat jabs.
Everyone has the right to do what they want with their bodies and lose weight however they choose and there are certainly health benefits to slimming down.
Stacey Solomon looks incredible as she strips off to black bikini and jumps off a bridge in Italy
But this new quick fix means our celebrities are smaller than ever and I think it's making people forget what real women look like.
The cult of thin is back in such a big way and it's depressing for those who aren't getting on board and sacrificing themselves to weight loss injections in a bid to be a skinny minny.
Stacey, who is a busy mum to Zachary, 17, Leighton, 12, Rex, five, Rose, three and two-year-old Belle, has never shied away from celebrating her 'mum bod'.
Stacey's success is not determined by the size on her clothes label
And it is refreshing to see a typical healthy woman in the public eye.
It makes me feel that it would be OK for me to get my body out this summer on holiday.
Two years ago, the 35-year-old, who is married to Joe Swash, revealed to her followers she's a size 10-12.
The average woman in the UK is a size 16 so while she is still smaller than most women, she is still being judged.
The Loose Women star is also maintaining a healthy lifestyle, often working out in her newly built home gym where she aims to be strong not skinny.
Standing in front of a mirror she said: 'I thought it was really important to come on here and say when I take the gym clothes off I look like this…' before pulling down her leggings down past her hips to show off unfiltered and non-photoshopped body.
She added, '...Which is also really pretty and a really lovely body and I just feel like it's important to show that.'
Stacey is one of our most successful Brit celebrities with over 6.1m followers.
Strong not skinny
She's got a host of TV shows and successful brand deals and is even rumoured to be taking part in this year's Strictly Come Dancing.
In a sea of size zero Ozempic loving stars, maintaining her realistic normal body is perhaps why she's still winning over audiences.
Stacey's success is not determined by the size on her label.
I'm grateful, like many other women, that she prefers to give us an injection of her relatable and funny personality rather than injecting a weight loss drug into her body!

Love Island's new bombshells confirmed as truths exposed in hidden camera twist

Love Island have announced the arrival of three new bombshells - Emily, Malisha and Yasmin - with trouble no doubt ahead as the villa learns the truth about what the boys are up to Love Island have announced three new bombshells will arrive on the show tonight - in a never before seen twist. For the first time in Love Island history, the boys will have their antics livestreamed back to their girls in the villa. On tonight's episode, Harry gets a text, which reads: "Boys, clear your schedules and get ready to leave the Villa! #BroTime #BeersAndBants," and immediately they head out for a lads night out - with a twist. ‌ Whilst the girls are back in the villa garden, they realise the boys night out will be there for them to watch. For the first time in Love Island history, the girls will have the boys' antics streamed straight into the villa and the boys have no idea. ‌ "We'll get to see how they act!" Alima says - but should the girls be worried? The boys are chatting amongst themselves about their own couples, which doesn't go down too well with the girls - but things get a lot worse when three new bombshells arrive. Emily, Malisha and Yasmin soon arrive, with Harry asking the new bombshells: "Are you coming back with us?" Malisha then says: "Of course I am!" with Yasmin asking how things are going between them and their girls. With no idea they're being watched, will the truth leave some of the Islanders shocked? 24-year-old Malisha is a teaching assistant from Broxbourne and she's looking for someone tall dark and handsome. Asked what she wants, she said: "A tall, dark, handsome man. He has to be very tall. I'm 5ft7/ 5ft8. I want to be able to wear heels and feel feminine. He has to be funny, but not too funny; I have to be the funniest. I want someone that's caring and a bit loving, but then I like someone that can give me a bit of rude banter. I like to be a bit cheeky." ‌ Insisting she isn't worried about stepping on toes, she added: "If I want it, I'm going to get it. I always get what I want. I'm an only child, so of course I'm going to get what I want. I'm in there for myself. I want to find a man. Actually, I want to find a husband." Commercial Banking Executive Yasmin, 24, from London says her biggest ick is a guy that's "stingy". Explaining what she would want in a man, she added: "I'm looking for a guy who is fit, has a nice body and who is funny with a bit of banter." Insurance Development Executive Emily, 24, from Aberdeen admits she's "really stubborn". She said: "I am always right and I don't argue unless I know I'm right. If someone's arguing with me and I know I'm right… watch out! I'm not very good at being the one to say 'sorry', I'm stubborn and set in my ways. If I make my mind up I'm set, which can be good and bad. I'm decisive, 100%."

Alison Hammond's son auditions for Love Island as she gives stern response

Alison Hammond has revealed that her son Aiden previously auditioned for ITV2 dating show Love Island - but the This Morning star had some stern words for the 20-year-old ITV2 dating show Love Island kicked off it's 12th series this week, and fans could have seen a very familiar face in the line-up. Alison Hammond revealed that her son Aiden auditioned for the show, with bosses keen to get him on. However, Alison, 50, who began her career on reality TV show Big Brother, told the Loose Women earlier today why she didn't want him to take part. The This Morning star's confirmation of her son auditioning for the show comes after months of rumours he was set to enter the villa. ‌ Those hoping to see Aiden walk in as a bombshell are set to be disappointed however, as Alison warned her son he was "too young." ‌ After making a dash to the Loose Women studio after presenting Friday's This Morning, Alison told the panel her son was "absolutely not" doing Love Island. "He has auditioned for the show, and they wanted him for that show. I advised him to do it later on." Revealing exactly what she said to her son, she said: "'If you really need to do it Aiden, do it when you're a little bit older,' because he was only 19 at that time. "I just think it's too young - I just think he can do it when he's a little bit older." ‌ Aiden is Alison's only child from her relationship with former fiancé Noureddine Boufaied, a taxi driver from Manchester. The pair split in 2014 - but are said to still be on good terms. A star in his own right, Aiden started DJing over a year ago and has gained huge recognition - having performed His mother, Alison, rose to fame in 2002 when she appeared on the third series of Big Brother at 27-years old. Despite being the third housemate to be evicted - it launched her career as a TV personality, and the nation's sweetheart. ‌ In 2020, she was announced as This Morning's Friday presenter, having made her first appearance on the show 17 years earlier. Her debut on the ITV show came on 31 January 2003 which saw her rolling around on a bed to put a mattress to the test. She became a hit and went on to interview some of the most famous faces on the planet including Ryan Gosling and Beyoncé - and even managed to make Harrison Ford laugh live on air. And who can forget her marriage (and divorce) with The Rock...
