Bukayo Saka snubs Sky F1 and Nico Rosberg at Spanish GP: ‘That was not very friendly'
Bukayo Saka snubbed Sky F1's punditry team as the England football team took in the sights and sounds of the Spanish Grand Prix on Sunday.
Thomas Tuchel took his squad to the race in Barcelona for a break as they prepare for their upcoming matches against Andorra and Senegal in the next 10 days.
Yet Sky Sports F1's main presenter Simon Lazenby, alongside 2016 F1 world champion Nico Rosberg, took over the responsibilities of the absent Martin Brundle in talking to stars on the grid ahead of Sunday's grand prix.
Yet when Lazenby asked Saka for a quick chat and who he was supporting at the race, the Arsenal star was uninterested in a conversation, simply stating: 'Not much to say.'
Rosberg, clearly unimpressed, remarked: 'That was not very friendly.'
Lazenby did manage to chat to England captain Harry Kane and defender Dan Burn.
Kane said: 'It's hot, I'm roasting! Looking forward to the race, it's my first grand prix. A few English guys doing well this year.
'I love Lando, he's got a great chance to win the championship, hope he can get out in front. It's all about preparation, it's just about going out there and being free.'
Cole Palmer, hero for Chelsea in the Europa Conference League final on Wednesday, was also present in Barcelona, alongside the likes of Jude Bellingham and Ollie Watkins.
Oscar Piastri started on pole position for McLaren, with Lando Norris in second and Max Verstappen starting in third.

In December 2024 Carlsen quit a major championship after being told he could not participate while wearing jeans. The Norwegian was defending his World Rapid and Blitz Chess Championships in New York when governing body FIDE made the request. He said he offered to change his trousers for the following day before being fined and told he needed to change straight away. Carlsen pulled out of the championships with the chess governing body issuing him a $200 fine after giving him an opportunity to change into the correct attire, which the rejected. However, after being told he would not be allowed to continue, he reportedly responded 'I'm out, f*** you'. Carlsen, world champion between 2013 and 2023, said he had a lunch meeting before the round and had to change quickly. 'I put on a shirt, jacket and honestly like I didn't even think about jeans, even changed my shoes,' Carlsen told Take Take Take, an app for following chess. 'I didn't even think about it. First of all, I got a fine which is fine, and then I got a warning that I would not be paired if I didn't go change my clothes. They said that I could do it after the third round today. 'I said "I'll change tomorrow if that's OK, I didn't even realise it today", but they said, "well you have to change now". At that point it became a bit of a matter of principle for me.' The 34-year-old added he would not appeal the decision, saying: 'Honestly, I am too old at this point to care too much. 'If this is what they want to do. I guess it goes both ways, right. 'Nobody wants to back down and this is where we are. It's fine by me. I'll probably head off to somewhere where the weather is a bit nicer than here.' The Norway Chess tournament began on May 26 and will conclude on June 6. It features an approximately £109,204 cash prize.

Footy legend Nick Riewoldt slams the AFL for being TOO WOKE to take action over the most powerful woman in the game
Footy legend Nick Riewoldt has taken aim at the AFL for not demoting executive general manager of football Laura Kane sooner, labelling them 'social justice warriors'. The AFL announced last week that Kane's AFL football operations role will be split into two roles, with the 34-year-old no longer overseeing key football areas. Kane has become a lightning rod for criticism this season over issues such as the Willie Rioli saga, the standard of umpiring and AFL miscommunication around what happened when Collingwood player Lachie Schultz was concussed in a game against Fremantle. A separate head of football performance role is now being created . Kane will continue to oversee the AFL and AFLW, plus the VFL and VFLW and a newly formed medical and healthcare team that will oversee areas including mental health and concussion. It was confirmed on Monday that Lions chief executive officer Greg Swann will take on the role as the head of football performance. Riewoldt said Swann's arrival is long overdue. 'If the AFL weren't so consumed with being social justice warriors, Laura Kane would have been moved aside 12 months ago,' he said on Channel 7's The Agenda Setters on Monday night. 'It is (a win) now. Either the role was too big, or she was the wrong person (for the job).' AFL chief Andrew Dillon insists there's nothing personal in the demotion of Kane. 'It was a big, big role,' Dillon told SEN radio on Friday. 'Decisions affect people but they're not personal. 'It's actually about what's the right thing for the AFL, not just for now, because the AFL's in an incredible position at the moment. ' ... We have now got a structure that actually allows us to continue to be successful for the next three to five years and that was the thinking.' In a separate interview on ABC Radio, Dillon rejected the notion that unconscious gender bias was a factor in Kane's dealings with clubs and subsequent demotion. 'It's not a gender thing,' he said. 'Laura has broken down a lot of barriers. She is an incredibly talented administrator.' Swann, who has been involved in club administration for more than 25 years, will oversee hot issues including the match review system, umpiring and laws of the game. 'I'm leaving to go the AFL to head up footy, I suppose, in the simplest terms,' Swann said when he confirmed his appointment to Lions colleagues. Lions coach Chris Fagan said Swann would be a major boost for the AFL. 'I'm really pleased for Swanny, it will be great for the game,' he said. 'He's one of those composed, calm and experienced people. We're obviously sad to lose him ... but things don't last forever. 'ln this instance, it will be a great win for the AFL. 'He'll help bring another angle to decision making that perhaps hasn't been there in recent times.'
