TRAINER Aidan O'Brien says Derby flop Delacroix could join stablemate Camille Pissarro in the Coral Eclipse.

Delacroix was sent off favourite for the Derby at Epsom but trailed home in ninth.
Camille Pissarro won the French Derby and is just 5-1 for the race. But runaway Royal Ascot winner Trinity College will not be lining up at Sandown.
O'Brien said: 'The Eclipse will come a bit too quick for Trinity College. Delacroix will take his chance with Camille Pissarro.'

The ace jockey made it an incredible 14 wins for the season at the Thames track as he booted in Richard Hughes' five-year-old speedster.
Murphy was riding the gelding for the first time and took it up a furlong out on the 9-5 shot who knuckled down well to beat Grandlad by three quarters of a length.
Murphy said: 'I've been lucky to get on some nice horses here — and Nogo's Dream did the job really well.

Punters say millionaire Aidan O'Brien horse ‘with a lot of class' now a ‘sorry sight' in races

A MILLIONAIRE Aidan O'Brien horse has been labelled a 'sorry sight' - with the Classic-winning superstar reduced to being just a pacemaker at massive odds. Continuous looked to have the world at his hooves when he 2 Ryan Moore was awesome on Continuous in the St Leger in 2023 - but less than two years on his role in races has been reduced to making the run at massive odds Credit: Getty 2 Classic winner Continuous, seen here at the back in the purple and white silks, was reduced to a supporting role in the Coronation Cup, won by stablemate Jan Brueghel Ridden by Ryan Moore and watched by King Charles in the crowd, Continuous surged home by just under three lengths to claim the £421,000 first-place prize. He then finished a very creditable fifth in the Arc de Triomphe on his next run, going down just over three lengths to unbeaten superstar Ace Impact. There was another Group 3 win for Continuous in the 2024 season but, on his most recent three starts, he has been sent off 50-1, 66-1 and 100-1. Continuous was never ridden to seriously contend the Tattersalls Gold Cup at the Curragh last month. Wayne Lordan rousted him along to the front at a mad pace after he was slowly away - paving the way for eventual winner and stablemate Los Angeles. Continuous was again sent on to do all the running under Derby hero Lordan in the Coronation Cup at Epsom earlier this month. He eventually finished fourth, losing two places in the final furlong, in a race won by stablemate Jan Brueghel. Continuous hit triple-digit odds for his most recent run in the Prince Of Wales's Stakes at Royal Ascot last week. Most read in Horse Racing Los Angeles was sent off 13-8 fav for that blockbuster Group 1 but, for once, O'Brien, Moore and the Coolmore team got their tactics wrong. Both Ballydoyle horses flopped in the race won by John & Thady Gosden's 7-1 Ombudsman. Los Angeles is now But while he will be back with the aim of winning the Arc in October, Continuous' odds for upcoming contests suggest victory of any kind would be a miracle, despite the five-year-old gelding's multiple entries. He is in the Princess Of Wales's Stakes at Newmarket's July meeting in a fortnight's time but is 20-1. He could run nine days later in the Curragh Cup - and does have an entry in the King George at Ascot but is 100-1 for that the following week. While O'Brien did include him in the Goodwood Cup at the end of July he is also 100-1 there and would surely be used as a pacemaker again for Gold Cup second and 7-4 ante-post favourite Illinois. One punter who watched Continuous at Ascot wrote on X: "Something very disappointing seeing a horse like Continuous being used as a pacemaker this season! "With his pedigree and fine race record he really could have been a fine horse to stand at stud. Crazy what he's being used for nowadays." Respected racing journalist Alistair Jones was another to notice the tactics and in the Racing Post wrote how Continuous was now a 'sorry sight' on the racecourse. He wrote: "He has sacrificed his last three races for the benefit of others in the yard and it was a sorry sight to see such a talented individual trail home tailed off in the Prince Of Wales's Stakes." Promising filly Barnavara expected to rise to occassion at Al Shira'aa Irish EBF Jannah Rose Stakes in Naas

Barnavara is expected to take a successful step into Group 3 company in the Al Shira'aa Irish EBF Jannah Rose Stakes in Naas, after being successful at listed level last time out. Jessica Harrington's filly performed creditably in hot company as a juvenile, made her stakes-race breakthrough in the 'Kooyonga' at Navan lats time and, stepping-up to a mile and a quarter for the first time, sets a decent standard in this evening's highlight. Successful on her debut at the Curragh in May of last year, this Calyx filly went on to finish third behind Ballydoyle filly Bedtime Story in both the 'Silver Flash'(Group 3) at Leopardstown and the Group 2 'Debutante' at the Curragh, and filled the same spot behind another of Aidan O'Brien's fillies Heavens Gate in the Group 3 Weld Park Stakes. With the Harrington team under a cloud, Barnavara made little impression on her seasonal debut behind Swelter in a Guineas Treial at Leopardstown. But she stepped up to finish a close third behind subsequent Irish Guineas seventh Atsila and last week's Coronation Stakes heroine Cercene in the 'Athasi' at the Curragh. Barnavara and Shane Foley (far) on their way to winning the Darley Irish EBF Kooyonga Stakes. File picture: Healy Racing Photo And, last time, under an astute ride from Shane Foley, she overcame an outside draw to outpoint 111-rated Red Ketter by a head in the 'Kooyonga' at Navan. Tackling a new trip here, Barnavara, rated 102, sets the standard and should take plenty of beating. Biggest threats to Shane Foley's mount might be the unbeaten fillies Faiyum and Darzina, representing Ger Lyons and Dermot Weld respectively. The Juddmonte-owned Faiyum has triumphed in a mile maiden on this track and a conditions event in Killarney, justifying 30/100 favouritism, and like Gorwan Park debut scorer Darzina, is hard to assess but open to plenty of improvement. Unless there's a smart debutante in the field (Michale O'Callaghan's Breeze-Up acquisition Dawn Romance looks the most likely), the Donnacha O'Brien-trained Havana Anna should land the opening Dooley Insurance Group 2-Y-0 Fillies Maiden. This Havana Grey filly finished third on her debut at Navan, beaten by only subsequent Royal Ascot winners Gstaad and True Love. And, on her second start, she did very little wrong when collared close home and beaten a neck by potentially smart Moyglare filly Suzie Songs, the pair finishing five and a half lengths clear of the rest. On the mark with Carmers at Royal Ascot, Paddy Twomey and Billy Lee might take the concluding Tinakill House Maiden with Standard Deviation, beaten a nose by Ballydoyle colt Gun Carriage on his second start, in Killarney, and entitled to improve, might prove too strong for the Weld runner Esherann. Horse racing tips: ‘This is a Group horse in a Listed race' – Templegate's NAP to fly home for hot trainer

TEMPLEGATE tackles Wednesday's action confident of building the bank for the summer ahead. Whack some money on a horse by clicking their odds - and check out our man's early Coral-Eclipse, July Cup and Ebor tips, including one star SAQQARA SANDS (3.45 Carlisle, nap) Is definitely a horse going places and caught the eye with her comeback second at Epsom. Trainer Ralph Beckett continues to knock along at a rate of knots and this horse should improve into Group races before long. This isn't the deepest Listed race and her draw is just fine. NOEL FOX (3.55 Salisbury, nb) Loves it at this track and ran a blinder when second here to a very well-treated horse. The ground will be perfect and the four-year-old gets loads of weight from most of his rivals. He has form over shorter if it does get tactical given the small field. MOSTAWAA (3.15 Carlisle, treble) Can make the long journey north worth it. Heather Main's veteran loves the quirky track and has dropped to an attractive mark. The booking of Rossa Ryan also catches the eye. DUBAI BEACH (7.30 Kempton) Can complete the Lucky 15. He has the handicapper on the run at the moment and trainer Saeed bin Suroor is in flying form. He will be very hard to stop under a penalty.
