The Cincinnati Bengals have a mess on their hands. And we're not even talking about the Trey Hendrickson contract extension debacle.

Bengals first-round draft pick Shemar Stewart still hasn't taken his first practice with the team. In a show of good faith, he's in the building. He's around his new teammates.
But he's not practicing while he attempts to hammer out language in his contract that he thinks serves as a protection to him. He has yet to sign his rookie deal or his participation waiver as he tries to work with the Bengals on that language.
"In my case, I'm 100% right," Stewart said when asked by ESPN about how long the situation could last. "I'm not asking for nothing that's never been done before. In [the team's case], y'all just want to win an argument instead of winning more games, in my opinion."
Stewart doesn't believe he's the one holding things up in negotiations.

He even has the support of some of his new teammates, who have reportedly told him that he's going about this the right way. After all, he's not asking for anything that the team hasn't given to other players. He just wants injury protection.
"It's made it very easy when the people in your locker room say you're doing the right things. Especially the star players," Stewart continued.
Stewart isn't the only one who's having contract difficulty with the Bengals right now.
Star defender Trey Hendrickson is looking for a long-term contract extension and has not reported to mandatory minicamp as he enters the final year of his current deal.

Quarterback Joe Burrow said while all of this is certainly a distraction, it's part of the game.
"You'd love to have none, but that's life in the NFL," Burrow said of contract disputes. "We're all supporting Trey and would love for him to be back."

Kamilla Cardoso Sends Three-Word Message to Angel Reese on Wednesday
Kamilla Cardoso Sends Three-Word Message to Angel Reese on Wednesday originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Chicago Sky lost to the New York Liberty on Tuesday by a final score of 85-66. The Sky are now 2-6 on the season. Advertisement Chicago All-Star Angel Reese has gotten off to a rough start this season. While the lefty is averaging 10.1 points and 12.1 rebounds, she's shooting only 35.8% from the field, 33.3% from beyond the arc and 67.7% from the free-throw line. Reese has been getting bashed for her poor shooting splits this season, but the LSU star is staying strong in the heat of adversity. On Wednesday, Reese posted the following caption on Instagram along with 14 pictures: "Every successful person you admire survived a season you didn't see. Idols turn into rivals. Everything becomes about survival." Several people commented on Reese's post, including her teammate, Sky center Kamilla Cardoso. Advertisement "Keep going 5!" Cardoso wrote, followed by the heart emoji. Kamilla Cardoso has Angel Reese's back. Patrick Gorski-Imagn Images Reese and Cardoso were drafted by the Sky in the first round of last year's draft. They are being tasked with turning the Chicago franchise around. Cardoso is averaging 10.5 points and 6.5 rebounds this season while shooting 50.7% from the floor and 75.0% from the foul line. She's having much more success shooting from the field than Reese. However, Reese shot the ball well against New York on Tuesday. She finished with 17 points and 11 rebounds in 31 minutes while shooting 8-of-13 overall. The Sky are back in action on Friday when they take on the Atlanta Dream for another Commissioner's Cup game. It will be fascinating to see if Reese can have another good shooting game. Reebok CEO's Opinion of Angel Reese Made Clear With Strong Comments
Reebok CEO's Opinion of Angel Reese Made Clear With Strong Comments originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese was the first basketball player Reebok signed after the company relaunched its basketball brand. Advertisement Reese's first signature shoe will be coming out later this season, Reebok CEO Todd Krinsky told Mike Vorkunov of The Athletic. During his interview with Vorkunov, Krinsky opened up about why Reese is the basketball player he's building around. "If you think about when we've really been successful, it's been having these bigger-than-life personalities that are embracing on- and off-the-court culture," Krinsky said. "Shaq was like that. He was larger than life. He wasn't just a center. He transformed the game. And he had this bigger-than-life personality." "Allen Iverson, we signed him in '96. Obviously, he changed the way players look and dress. He changed the culture of the game. And I think that's what Angel is." Angel Reese agreed to a multi-year endorsement contract extension with Reebok in Krzaczynski-Imagn Images Reese has over five million followers on Instagram and over 690,000 followers on X. Advertisement The former LSU forward made the All-Star team last year as a rookie and won the rebounding title. In 42 career games with the Sky, Reese is averaging 12.9 points and 12.9 rebounds. She has already established herself as one of the top rebounders in WNBA history. "Angel is a provocative disruptor," Krinsky said. "But she doesn't do it just for clicks or whatever. She does it because she really has this very, kind of unique, rebellious attitude. And those are the type of athletes that — athletes have something to say. "Athletes are more than just athletes, away from the court. That's the formula of what's really worked for us in the past, so we can build these icons, and she's definitely one of them. She fits the Shaq/AI mentality." Advertisement Reese signed a four-year, $324,383 contract with the Sky last year after getting drafted in April. The 23-year-old then agreed to a multi-year endorsement contract extension with Reebok in October 2024.
