Dua Lipa's British Vogue Cover Might Just Be the Worst She Has Ever Looked…
Here at theFashionSpot, we need some convincing that Chioma Nnadi is the right fit at British Vogue. Nnadi ultimately succeeded Edward Enninful, and became the magazine's head of editorial content in 2023. As a result, we've suffered terribly with a series of lackluster and underwhelming covers starring the likes of Zendaya, Sophie Turner, Kylier Jenner, and Tyla (to name just a select few). Last month, there was a slight reprieve from the mediocrity, as Bella Hadid posed for Steven Meisel. Up next (making a return) on the cover of British Vogue is Dua Lipa. The London-born Albanian singer and songwriter is profiled by David Sims for the occasion, complete with Camilla Nickerson reporting for styling duties. In the quirky cover shot, the Chanel brand ambassador dons blunt bangs, a Miu Miu bra, and a headdress from London-based milliner Nerida Fraiman.
'Gurl. Body looking good, face is also looking good but the bangs! Why?' immediately asked a dumbfounded thiago upon checking out the cover.
'Probably the worst she's ever looked in a photo. Congrats to the team cause that's quite the achievement,' remarked Marc10.
'This is David Sims? Vogue editors are the worst. Pretentious, meaningless and a lost opportunity. Dua's Vogue France was not great but was a much better approach,' voiced Xone.
Also far from impressed was vogue28. 'Absolutely vile. What a seriously unflattering cover image! The styling from Camilla Nickerson is an abomination, the hair is horrific, and that headpiece is… stupid. To say I'm not a fan of this cover would be an understatement,' he declared.
'What on earth is this? I'm seriously perplexed at what I am looking at,' ReneSanchez echoed.
'AWFUL styling my gosh, and that hair was a choice. How can they manage to make her look so bad?' quipped Betrando3.

Is London really worried about Manchester having its moment?
When luxury French fashion house Chanel took over the Northern Quarter in late 2023, Manchester was said to be 'having a moment'. Since then, the city has hosted both the Michelin awards and MTV EMAs, cementing its place on the map when it comes to culture. This week, there was more good news. For the first time in its near-50-year history, the BRIT Awards will leave London and head north. READ MORE: 'I see mums who can't afford to feed their children - how can they afford this?' READ MORE: Person injured after car crashes into house as firefighters race to scene Days later, Rachel Reeves dropped hints that she would back plans that could capitalise on this momentum with long-lasting effects. Unveiling her long-awaited Spending Review on Wednesday (June 11), the Chancellor said she would soon be revealing plans to 'take forward' Northern Powerhouse Rail - a decade-old project for a new high-speed railway to connect cities across the north of England. It comes after the Manchester Evening News joined forces with the Liverpool ECHO to call for a new line connecting our two cities as part of mayor Andy Burnham's plans for a 'Northern Arc' which he says could help boost the economy by £90bn over the next 15 years. The M.E.N. understands that 'hundreds of millions' of pounds have now been set aside to develop plans for the Manchester-Liverpool railway over the next few years with details of other new lines and rail upgrades across the north set to be announced next week. Ms Reeves has also promised to 'rewrite the rules' so that government funding no longer favours London over projects elsewhere. But while the rest of the country welcomed the news, London's mayor Sadiq Khan complained that the capital was being left behind. In a statement issued after the Chancellor delivered the spending review, Sir Sadiq raised concerns about insufficient funding for the Met - something police chiefs in Greater Manchester have also expressed - and a lack of investment in new infrastructure for London. He said: "The way to level up other regions will never be to level down London. I'll continue to fight for the investment we need so that we can continue building a fairer, safer and greener London for everyone." Local leaders have dismissed suggestions that London is being 'levelled down', highlighting the capital's superior transport network. However, according to Rose Marley, who chairs the Manchester-based Beyond the Music, some in London are genuinely concerned. She said: "I've been in and out of Whitehall all week and whether it's the spending review, plans for the Northern Arc or even landing the Brits, I've consistently heard that 'London' is concerned about how much is going to the regions. I find that incredulous really." Last week, a think tank revealed a £140bn chasm between transport funding for London and the north under the last government. Independent analysis of Treasury figures by IPPR North has found that, in the 10 years up to 2022/23, the government spent £1,183 per person in London. During the same period, the north saw just £486 per person spent on transport projects across the whole region. Responding to claims that public investment in transport has favoured London in recent years, the mayor's office pointed to figures which show that the government spent less money on each public transport journey in the capital compared to the rest of Britain. A spokesperson for the Mayor of London said: "The Mayor has always believed that economic growth in the UK IS not a 'zero sum game' and we should not be pitting our towns and cities against each other. "He supports levelling up the entire country – but has been clear that this cannot be done by levelling down London. "London is the engine of our national economy – so restricting investment to the capital doesn't just limit our power and dynamism, but risks jeopardising growth, job-creation and new opportunities across the UK. "The Elizabeth Line created 55,000 new jobs and 1,000 apprenticeships across the country and investment in schemes like the Docklands Light Railway extension would also boost growth nationally. "The Mayor will always stand up for London and is determined to work with all regions of the country to deliver growth and prosperity."

Fashion Icon Keira Knightley Goes Back to Her Rocker-Chic Style Roots for the Vogue 25
Keira Knightley subtly paid homage to her rocker-chic era in her latest photoshoot, and it has us feeling nostalgic! For British Vogue's July 2025 Issue, they made a gorgeous campaign called 'The Vogue 25: Meet The Women Defining Britain In 2025.' This issue is filled with stars like Amal Clooney, designer Dilara Findikoglu, The Princess of Wales, singer Chloe Qisha, and of course, Knightley. (You can see the photos from the issue HERE!) More from SheKnows The Actress Playing Carolyn Bessette in the Upcoming Anthology Had to Undergo a Serious Transformation And for the issue, we can see that Knightley went back to her rocker chic fashion by rocking a dark denim vest, a white shirt, and jeans from Chanel. It's an elegant version of rocker chic, but it totally reminds us of her fashion in the early 2000s. Back in 2001, for her first-ever red carpet moment, she went to the Bridget Jones's Diary London premiere in a truly rocker ensemble: black leather pants and a sheer black camisole with a matching lace bra underneath. She often wore black at premieres in the early 2000s, including at the 200s London premiere of Pirates of the Caribbean The Curse of the Black Pearl, when she wore a gothic dark shirt and jeans. Along with that, she wore a lace-up corset for the Love Actually premiere, her Domino era, and lots of fur-lined ensembles until 2005. 2000 to 2005 was her rocker era, and we love that she's paying homage to that in her photoshoot. Now, along with being a fashion icon, Knightley has learned how to turn out the haters when it comes to her looks. In a previous interview with The Talks, the Nutcracker star discussed how she stopped caring about the random backlash she got (even on the red carpet) as she's gotten older. 'I learned you can say nothing, you can be perfectly smiling, wearing a perfectly nice dress at the opening of a charity and people can still despise you for it,' she said. She also spoke to Vogue about growing older, saying, 'It's quite nice to have lived your life and have lived experiences. And be like, 'Well, I've been through that and I've come out the other side. And here we are and it's all a bit chaotic, but you can go on.''Best of SheKnows Every Single Time Kate Middleton's Royal Fashion Made Us Stop in Our Tracks Ariana Madix, Kristen Stewart, & More Stars Who Had Dramatic Hair Changes Which One of Donald's Trump's Kids Has The Highest Net Worth? Dua Lipa Confirms Engagement to Harry Potter Actor
Pop star Dua Lipa recently opened up about her engagement to actor Callum Turner, best known for his role in Fantastic Beasts. Following months of quiet speculation, the Grammy-winning singer confirmed the happy news and talked about their wedding plans. Dua Lipa has officially confirmed her engagement to actor Callum Turner. In an interview with British Vogue, the singer shared the news over dinner, saying, 'Yeah, we're engaged. It's very exciting.' Lipa also revealed that Turner had designed the ring with help from her sister and closest friends. She said, 'I'm obsessed with it. It's so me. It's nice to know the person that you're going to spend the rest of your life with knows you very well.' The singer added, 'This decision to grow old together, to see a life and just, I don't know, be best friends forever – it's a really special feeling.' Though the couple is thrilled, they haven't begun planning the wedding. With her world tour still underway and Turner tied up with acting commitments, they are focused on enjoying this phase. The singer also admitted, 'I've never been someone who's really thought about a wedding, or dreamt about what kind of bride I would be. All of a sudden, I'm like: 'Oh, what would I wear?'' The couple's relationship began making headlines in January 2024, when they were first seen together at the Masters of the Air premiere afterparty in London. Turner, who stars in the Apple TV+ drama, was seen slow dancing with Lipa in a video that quickly circulated. Since then, the two have remained low-key but have appeared together at industry events and dinners. In July 2024, they made their relationship Instagram official when Lipa posted two photos with Turner from the Glastonbury Festival. Fans had already begun speculating about an engagement after Lipa was seen wearing a diamond ring in Christmas 2024 photos. Originally reported by Disheeta Maheshwari on ComingSoon.
