Italy's Musetti battles into French Open last 16
Eighth seed Musetti won 4-6, 6-4, 6-3, 6-2 against 97th-ranked Argentine Mariano Navone in three hours and 25 minutes on Court Suzanne Lenglen.
"Honestly, today was completely different conditions from the last two matches," said Musetti as windy and chilly conditions gave way to blazing sunshine in Paris.
"I was a little bit surprised at the beginning, but happy and really proud of the comeback.
"I've grown up a lot. A match like this I don't know if I would (have) come back a few years ago."
Musetti, who reached the fourth round in Paris for the third time, next plays either 10th seed Holger Rune of Denmark or France's Quentin Halys for a place in the quarter-finals.

The 21-year-old won through 6-1, 7-6 (7/3) against the world number 47 and next plays Ekaterina Alexandrova, the 20th seed, who beat fellow Russian Veronika Kudermetova 6-2, 6-2. Gauff -- the 2022 Roland Garros runner-up -- warmed up for Paris with runs to the finals of the clay court tournaments in Madrid and Rome. The American held off Bouzkova, who had gotten the upper hand in their two previous clashes in Cincinatti in 2022 and Rome in 2023. Having dominated the first set, the 2023 US Open champion trailed in the second set but managed to erase her break deficit, coming back from 5-3 down to 5-5 before winning the tiebreak comfortably. © 2025 AFP

Alcaraz will pen a two-year contract with Everton, who have agreed a reported £12.6 million ($16.9 million) fee for the midfielder.
