Before 'Hera Pheri 3' Paresh Rawal criticised Bollywood for making sequels to MINT MONEY; claimed, "Phir Hera Pheri' lost its innocence"
Even 25 years after its release, the 'Hera Pheri' franchise remains an iconic part of Indian cinema. Behind the humour and nostalgia, actor Paresh Rawal , who played the beloved Baburao, was in the news over his controversial exit from the project. However, did you know that the actor once gave a surprisingly honest take on why he wasn't fully on board with the sequel, 'Phir Hera Pheri'. In an old interview with Siddharth Kannan, Paresh Rawal admitted that he felt the second film had lost the charm that made the original so special. "It lost its innocence," he said, pointing out how the story became too cluttered in an effort to outdo its predecessor. He revealed that he even warned director Neeraj Vohra not to overfill the script with unnecessary elements. 'People will laugh at anything,' Rawal noted, 'but we don't have to run naked for laughs.' His message was clear, simplicity was the real strength of the first film. Rawal also touched on a larger issue: the trend of making sequels purely for profit. Speaking in another interview with The Lallantop, he criticized Bollywood's tendency to recycle characters and slap on new jokes, just to cash in. "A sequel made only to mint money isn't fun,' he said. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Зачем поджигать лавровый перед сном? He called the role a 'gale ka phanda' (a noose around the neck) and shared his frustration over being typecast. While fans still cherish Baburao, Rawal feels the character has more depth to explore, if only filmmakers were willing to take that leap. 'There's either a lack of imagination or just plain laziness,' he said. Now, with 'Hera Pheri 3' in the works and Rawal reportedly not part of it, fans and co-stars alike are hoping for a resolution, on and off screen. Late Kim Jong Suk's family denies abuse and suicide allegations: sister says model was under "financial and emotional distress"
Model and TV personality Kim Jong Suk recently passed away at the age of 29. Kim Jong Suk's sister issues statement Amid the rising speculations surrounding Kim Jong Suk's demise, his sister recently made a post addressing everything. On June 9, she took to her social media platforms and denied all allegations that have been circulating against the model. IC Markets Start Now Undo While detailing the matter, she also shared that Jong Suk had been suffering from financial issues, as he had become a victim of an investment scam. She shared that 'He was under extreme financial and emotional distress due to an investment scam committed by an acquaintance. Not only did he lose his entire fortune, but he also fell into debt from the fraud, making daily life difficult. He was exhausted from these circumstances and had been deep in thought for some time.' Allegations surrounding ex-girlfriend's abuse denied His sister also provided further detail about what happened that day to clarify any speculations. She stated that: 'Jong Suk and his girlfriend were drinking separately with their own acquaintances. When he couldn't reach her, he became worried and went to her home with a friend. His girlfriend, her sister, and her sister's boyfriend were asleep, and Jong Suk, his friend, and another male acquaintance who was awake chatted and even joked around. Later, when his girlfriend woke up, there was no unilateral assault or rampage — just a simple argument between the couple.' She then continued in her statement that while a soju bottle indeed was broken at the scene, it was done so by accident. She said, 'As others tried to intervene and tensions seemed to rise, Jong Suk's friend broke a soju bottle in an attempt to stop the argument, which led to the police being called. The claims that he ran away or tried to avoid the police are also untrue.' She also shared that she will post recordings and text messages of Jong Suk's friend as well as his girlfriend at the time.
