(COLORADO SPRINGS) — According to Peak Alerts, the shelter-in-place has been lifted as of about 3:45 p.m.
CSPD Communications stated that Dublin Boulevard is back open at 3:45 p.m.
The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) sent an emergency message over Peak Alerts calling for a shelter-in-place for the area of Dublin Boulevard and North Academy Boulevard around 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 28.
According to the alert, there is police activity in the area of 1902 Dublin Boulevard related to a barricaded suspect.
People in the area are asked to remain indoors and stay away from locked doors and windows.
According to CSPD Communications, Dublin Boulevard is blocked between Academy Boulevard and Brook Park while the police are responding.

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) reported that on Friday, June 6, the Motor Vehicle Theft unit found a blue 2013 Toyota Corolla that had been reported stolen from North Nevada Avenue near East Fillmore Street, leading to the arrest of a suspect. According to CSPD, a marked police unit had encountered the vehicle in the area of Centennial Boulevard and Fillmore Street two nights before, on Wednesday, June 4, and had attempted to stop it, but the vehicle drove off. CSPD reported that on Friday, the Motor Vehicle Theft Detectives conducted surveillance on the stolen Corolla, leading them to the area of Mount View Lane and Cragmore Road, near I-25 and Austin Bluffs Boulevard, where the suspect, 37-year-old Jason Garling, got out of the car and was stopped by detectives. According to CSPD, Garling was taken into custody and charged with motor vehicle theft, possession of an illegal weapon, and felony eluding. He was taken to the El Paso Criminal Justice Center. Woman arrested after school staff report suspected child abuse

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — A woman has been arrested after staff at a local charter school suspected a child may have been abused and alerted authorities. According to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD), staff members at the school contacted police around 10:35 a.m. on Thursday, June 5, with their concerns. Officers responded to conduct an initial investigation, and the Crimes Against Children and Forensic Interview Units then responded. CSPD said detectives established probable cause to arrest 29-year-old Lizbeth Salinas Mijangos for felony child abuse. The Department of Human Services responded to the home on South Chelton Road to ensure the safety of children in the home. 'CSPD would like to express appreciation for the staff members who noticed that something was wrong and who were diligent enough to report it,' CSPD said.
