New Delhi: One of the most viral and famous teachers in the country, Khan Sir is currently in the spotlight due to his marriage. Khan Sir is a well-known teacher and YouTube content creator in India who is known for providing coaching for competitive exams at a low cost to students. His YouTube channel 'Khan GS Research Center' has more than 24 million subscribers and his videos are based on topics such as current affairs, mathematics, and politics. He started with just 6 students in a small coaching center in Patna, Khan Sir but now he is the most viral teacher in the country. His unique and humorous teaching style is very popular among students.
Reportedly, Khan Sir got married in a private ceremony when Operation Sindoor, the military conflict between India and Pakistan, was going on, i.e., between May 6 and May 10. He disclosed this in front of students during his live class.
He held the reception in Patna, Bihar on June 2 where he made his first public appearance with his wife. It was the first time that people got to take a look at the bride who has been introduced as AS Khan. At the reception too, Khan Sir made sure that the pall of privacy remains around his wife. AS Khan was seen covering most of her face with a red veil. Not to miss the point that he did not disclose her full name and used acronyms to address her.
For the reception, the beautiful bride donned a red lehenga paired with a green-hued dupatta and another red dupatta which covered her face. However, her adorable smile peaked through the ghunghat, winning over the netizens. AS Khan's academic qualifications
It is reported that AS Khan hails from Siwan, Bihar and is highly educated just like her husband. She did her schooling at an Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ISCE) certified school and has also completed her further education. The streams in which AS Khan qualified are still unknown. Present at the occasion were Bihar Governor Arif Mohammad Khan, Bihar Deputy CM, Samrat Choudhary, Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav, Education Minister Sunil Kumar, Dept of Industries and Tourism Minister, Nitish Mishra, among others. He has also arranged for a special reception on June 6, 2025, for his students.

As Lavrov plans India visit, Putin aide ruffles feathers by repeating Trump claim on mediation
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov is expected to visit Delhi this month, even as a controversy brewed over Russia repeating U.S. President Donald Trump's claim, that India has denied, that Washington mediated the India-Pakistan ceasefire last month. This is the first visit to India by a Foreign Minister from one of the UN Security Council's permanent member nations since Operation Sindoor. Diplomatic sources suggested that Mr. Lavrov could travel as early as next week, to discuss strategic and economic ties with External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar. Significantly, Mr. Lavrov will be arriving in India after a meeting with Pakistan's Special Advisor to the Prime Minister Syed Tariq Fatemi in Moscow on Tuesday, and before a possible meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin in July if both leaders travel to the upcoming BRICS summit in Brazil. When asked, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said that it had 'clarified [India's] position fair and square' about the four-day conflict after India launched strikes on Pakistan's terror infrastructure in Operation Sindoor on May 7. 'The cessation of hostilities (May 10) happened bilaterally and was done by the two DGMOs [Directors General of Military Operations],' the MEA spokesperson said on Thursday. Despite the consistent denials, Mr. Trump and U.S. government officials have said more than a dozen times, including in a sworn submission in a U.S. court, that the U.S. had 'mediated' between the two sides, using trade as 'leverage' to ensure an end to hostilities. It is unclear whether Mr. Ushakov simply repeated Mr. Trump's claims during the conversation with Mr. Putin ad verbatim, or whether Russia had any other source of information on the subject, but officials are expected to clarify India's position again during Mr. Lavrov's visit. The EAEU, which includes Russia and the former Soviet states of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan, is a common market and customs union that has been in talks with India since 2015. In January 2025, the government said that 'India is finalising the terms of reference' for the FTA. Talks have been bolstered by the seven-fold rise in India-Russia bilateral trade from 2021 to nearly US $70 billion in 2024, primarily due to Indian purchases of Russian oil, despite western sanctions. Russian Deputy Chief of Mission Roman Babushkin told journalists that the EAEU-India FTA is the 'need of the hour', a 'turning point', and a 'game changer' in economic ties. 'The acceleration of the FTA talks was one of the most important topics on the agenda when PM Modi and President Putin met in Moscow in 2024,' Mr. Babushkin said, adding that India and Russia had since made progress on issues like payment mechanisms, insurance, and banking facilities.

"Justice has been served," says BJP's Suvendu Adhikari after Sharmistha Panoli gets interim bail
Kolkata (West Bengal) [India], June 5 (ANI): After Calcutta High Court granted interim bail to law student Sharmistha Panoli, West Bengal Assembly Leader of Opposition and BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari on Thursday said, 'justice has been served today'. In a post on X, Suvendu Adhikari said, 'Justice has been served today - Sharmistha Panoli, a law student, aged about 22 years, has been released on interim bail by the Hon'ble High Court at Calcutta.' He called her arrest 'police atrocities' and said she was wrongly arrested for exercising her right to free speech. He accused Kolkata Police of acting to please political leaders. 'This is a case of police atrocities as an innocent young lady, for using her freedom of speech and expression, has been illegally arrested by the Kolkata Police and was sent to judicial custody. This is yet another example of police overzealousness and eagerness to please their political masters,' the post reads. The court directed her to cooperate with the investigation, not leave the country, and furnished bail on a personal bond of Rs 10,000. The court also ordered appropriate police protection for her. Meanwhile, BJP MLA Agnimitra Paul and West Bengal BJP Legal Cell member Sanjukta Samanta filed an FIR against Wazahat Khan, who filed an FIR against Sharmistha Panoli, at two Police Stations, Ballygunje Police Station, Kolkata and Howrah Police Station. Paul said there should be equal rights and rules for every community. Speaking to ANI, Agnimitra Paul said, 'Yes, I have filed a police complaint against Wazahat Khan, who filed a police complaint against Sharmistha Panoli. I believe that Dr BR Ambedkar Ji's constitution is applicable in West Bengal, and there should be equal rights and rules for every Khan, who complained against Sharmistha Panoli, had posted an abusive post against our goddess Maa Kamakhya and Lord Krishna. If a Muslim is insulting my god and goddess, the same action needs to be taken for Wazahat Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma has sent his police force to arrest Wazahat Khan, Mamata Banerjee's police, because of her Muslim appeasement, have been hiding and shielding Wazahat Khan...' The 22-year-old law student from Pune, Sharmistha Panoli, was arrested by Kolkata Police in Gurugram on May 30, for allegedly hurting religious sentiments with a video on Operation Sindoor.
