Hull KR moved back to the top of Super League with a comfortable victory over struggling Huddersfield Giants.After Wigan Warriors had overtaken them on Friday by beating Leigh Leopards, the Robins did what was required.Joe Burgess scored the only points of the first half, before Mikey Lewis, Tyrone May, Kalepi Tanginoa, Jack Brown and Burgess again crossed in the second half.The Giants were unable to breach the league's meanest defence as they stay 11th with a 10th defeat out of 11 games.
With the Challenge Cup final on the horizon at Wembley on 7 June, the mood around Sewell Group Craven Park was high and it looked like it was going to be an easy afternoon when Burgess strolled over in the corner.Lewis had a second try disallowed shortly after and any momentum they were generating was lost as New Zealand prop Jared Waerea-Hargreaves was sin-binned for a high shot on Matty English.With a man advantage, Huddersfield had a big chance to score but Jacob Gagai was held up over the try line.
The Giants had only ended their nine-match losing start to the season in their last game against KR's neighbours, Hull FC, at Magic Weekend.They had been on the end of a 50-4 hiding at John Smith's Stadium when these sides met in March but they remained in the contest here until just before the hour mark.Last season's Man of Steel Lewis brought things to life with the game's second try, before half-back partner May followed him onto the scoresheet moments later as a dummy and too much determination allowed him to get his first Super League try of the season.The away side could not stem the tide as Tanginoa and Brown went over before Burgess rounded off the scoring with the best try of the game, involving some more Lewis magic.And they can build up for a Challenge Cup final dress rehearsal when they travel to Warrington Wolves on Thursday.

Powell 'honoured' by support over grandson's cancer

Wakefield's players will wear special jerseys in Sunday's Super League game which will be auctioned for the credited the players and the club for the backing he and his family have received."When he first got diagnosed I explained to the players and told them I just wanted them to treat me the same because I want to come here and this to be my diversion from the difficulties at home," he said."The players have been phenomenal."The shirt has got Clarke's name and the charity on the front of it and I'm proud and honoured that the club have done that."He added: "A lot of my family will be here on Sunday and it will be a big day for the charity. They've been unbelievable providing support in all sorts of different ways."I can't speak highly enough of the charity and the support it has put around my family at this very difficult time."

Kleberson has called on Manchester United to show the fighting spirit Roy Keane brought to training games where he smashed his teammates to the ground to turn their fortunes around. The Brazilian World Cup winner believes his former club need to display the hunger his old captain showed in practice matches as he said they need the sort of forceful characters United had in his day. Kleberson joined United in 2003, the year after winning the World Cup, and spent two seasons at Old Trafford. Now he wishes the current side could reach the same standards, whereas United came 15th, their lowest finish in half a century. He said: 'Imagine now to see United play the same way we played all those years ago, we have really good players like Paul Scholes, Ryan Giggs, Ruud van Nistelrooy and Roy Keane. That generation, it is powerful, it is really powerful. 'The time I arrived at United, the memories I have is of powerful players. Everyone wants to look [you] in the eyes and we can see the guys are really hungry to win every game. Even the training sessions are like games, I remember Roy Keane smashed some guys to the ground. 'For me it is always special, because I come from the Brazil World Cup team of 2002, I have the opportunity to play with Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, Rivaldo, Roberto Carlos, those guys, it is powerful, and then as soon as I get to United there are all those guys like Rio Ferdinand, Paul Scholes and Gary Neville.
