This Azzi Fudd Saran Wrap story about the UConn star is so good
Azzi Fudd has proven she's a star for UConn (and hey, maybe in the WNBA someday?), and some of that might be thanks to ... Saran Wrap?
Seriously. The product we normally associate with food prep and preserving was helpful to Fudd, as the story goes. Her parents Katie and Tim helped teach her the game, and there's a story involving the wrap from The Athletic.
When she was younger and was dribbling with her right hand, "Tim devised a plan to get her to dribble with her left. Mainly as a joke, he Saran-wrapped her right arm to her body so she wouldn't be tempted to use it. To his surprise, Fudd didn't plead to be unwrapped. Instead, she went about dribbling the ball with her left hand and with a smile on her face."
And there's photo evidence that Fudd shared back in 2020:
Great story, fantastic photo.

Candace Parker Doesn't Entertain Caitlin Clark
Candace Parker Doesn't Entertain Caitlin Clark – Angel Reese Rivalry originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Indiana Fever faced Angel Reese's Chicago Sky on Saturday night in their second matchup of the season. In the first meeting, the Fever dominated 93-58, and tensions flared after a flagrant foul on Caitlin Clark sent Reese to the ground. Advertisement Heading into that first contest, there was already tension between fans, fueled by the fact that the two had faced off on the biggest stage in college basketball and four times during their rookie seasons, when they were No. 1 and No. 2 in the WNBA Rookie of the Year race. Unfortunately for fans, they didn't get to see Clark and Reese go head-to-head Saturday night, as Clark remained out with a left quadriceps strain. Fans and the media kept it going, but WNBA legend Candace Parker questioned why it's even a conversation, noting that they play completely different positions. Advertisement "I just think that it's like comparing apples and oranges, Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese, it's like, what are we doing?" Parker said on the "Spolitics with Jemele Hill" podcast. "They like doing the Magic [Johnson] and the Larry [Bird] comparison. Well, they played similar positions, like Bird wasn't a point guard, but he played the guard position, like they at least kind of match up. Like, what are we doing? So, I'm not falling into that. I'm not into the comparison." Clark handles most of the workload as a point guard and is known for her deep threes and passing ability. Reese, on the other hand, is a forward known for her rebounding. The next time fans can catch Clark versus Reese, assuming both are healthy, is July 27. The Fever will return to the United Center in Chicago, with tipoff scheduled that day for 3 p.m. EST on ABC.
