Bollywood's one of the most loved and beautiful stars,
Pooja Bedi
, recently turned a year older. And the years seem to have only added more wisdom to her life's journey. Reflecting on the same, in an exclusive interview with us, Pooja shared, 'The life-o-meter is tick tick ticking and every birthday is a reminder that I have more years behind me than ahead of me and I have to live my dreams.'
Though they say time stops for one, this diva has mastered the art of pausing the aging process. Speaking about the secret that keeps her young, the veteran actress mentioned, 'I have a company that's focused on bringing the eight pillars of wellness into everyone's lives: mental, emotional, physical, spiritual, environmental, sexual, financial, and social. Workouts and healthy foods for physical fitness are as important to me as butter chicken and laughter are for mental wellness.'
Pooja Bedi has NO REGRETS
When questioned about any regrets in all these beautiful years, Pooja said, 'Making mistakes is part of being human. I don't call them mistakes. I call them experiences to learn and grow from. There are absolutely no regrets. It's one life, and it has to be a full and happy one.'
Pooja Bedi on parenting
Pooja Bedi is one of the entertainment industry's stars who raised her kids as a single parent. When asked to share how the entire journey had been, she hilariously replied, 'Though I'm a single mother, my kids are now grown adults at 25 and 27 years of age and very much their own individuals. I love being needed by them. But there's less and less of that and more of me needing them now.'

However, she did share with us the biggest takeaway from the parenting diary of her mother Protima Bedi and said, 'The greatest learning from my mom that I have carried forward is that the importance and value of parenting is in not being needed — to empower our children to be resilient, capable, and caring for themselves as well as others.'
Last but not least, speaking about her childhood memories, the actress used the words - 'unmatchable, crazy, happy, fun, and loving.'
'Growing up memories with my mom are what have created a blanket of memories that keep me warm and cocooned... and I seek to do the same with my kids. Ships are safe in harbours. But that's not why ships were built. Same with the human journey. Much to explore, understand, stand up for, stand up against, challenge, experience, and rejoice about,' she concluded.

Rana Daggubati On 'Rana Naidu' Trolling Over Bold Content: 'Venky Sir Had Family Image'

Last Updated: Rana Daggubati explains why he thinks his and Venkatesh Daggubati's Telegu fans reacted so strongly and negatively to Rana Naidu. He adds that he and Venkatesh are friends now. The release of Rana Naidu season one in 2023 opened floodgates of criticism. Many on social media called out the makers for explicitly portraying sex and gruesome violence with generous dollops of cuss words. Earlier, Venkatesh Daggubati had also admitted to the incessant trolling he was subjected to, particularly by his Telugu audiences, who weren't used to seeing him do bold content. Naturally, the announcement of the second season of the series was met with multiple speculations that the makers have decided to sober it down. Now, speaking exclusively to News18 Showsha, Rana Daggubati also admits that their south fans were rather taken aback with him and his uncle, Venkatesh in the show. 'It's not that they aren't used to seeing us that way. It's just that shows aren't that popular in south. Netflix and Amazon hadn't made series or shows there before this one. Rana Naidu was one of the earliest shows that they watched. Mirzapur was dubbed for the audience there but a very small segment of them had watched it," he says. 'Rana Naidu became big because both Venky sir and I were there in it. It became quite mainstream," he adds. But Rana also believes that the backlash from south fans also stemmed from Venkatesh's family man image. 'As for Venky sir's image, he was largely doing films that were family dramas. He did some negative roles very early on in his career, which got forgotten over time. Rana Naidu was a show that got him back to that element," he states. But strong reactions from fans, Rana believes, is sometimes 'inevitable'. 'Every time you're doing something different and try to break away from a mould, there will be a bunch of people who will like you a lot and wouldn't want to see you doing the films or the characters they've been playing for the last few years. And then, there will be another bunch who won't like this new character. It's up to you as an actor as to how you can make them fall in love with this new role or image," he remarks. However, Rana Naidu gave others the opportunity to see a different side of Venkatesh, who in real life is quite different. 'He has a sense of humour – wicked, not so much. He doesn't have an evil bone in his body. He's too much of a saint that way," points out Rana. Interestingly, this series marks their first onscreen collaboration. It goes without saying that it helped Rana explore a new dynamic to their relationship. In his words, what he shares with his uncle today is 'friendship'. 'We definitely got much closer. We got to spend a lot more time together. Before Rana Naidu, we weren't ever together on a set as actors. I've only done some behind-the-scenes work when he was on set as an actor. The uncle-nephew relationship is gone. We're like friends now. We got to travel and have meals together. This bond is a lot of fun," shares the Virata Parvam and Vettaiyan actor. First Published:

Wealth Like Fiction: Inside India's 0.01% - Rs 30 Lakh Bags, 10 Butlers And Parties For No Reason

It started as a regular birthday invite. A user on Reddit's r/AskIndia shared how a party invite turned into a front-row seat to India's ultra-elite lifestyle. Soon the post became a digital confessional booth for others who have had similar glimpses into the country's top 0.01%. Identifying as middle class, the anonymous poster described attending the birthday party of a lawyer's son in what he called an 'alternate India'. 'I was blown away. The roads were spotless, the neighbourhood lush and there were valets at the gate. Five cars, each worth more than Rs 50 lakh, were parked outside like it was nothing,' he wrote. He went on to describe guests arriving in luxury sedans, including local politicians and business tycoons, casually handing over extravagant gifts. Even the Hindi spoken there, he said, had a different accent – 'polished and TV-like'. Curious, he asked others on Reddit if they too had stumbled into the world of the hyper-wealthy. The answers poured in. One user recalled a childhood sleepover with a school friend in South Delhi. 'It was a mansion. Eight luxury cars, four stories and ten butlers. It was like staying at a boutique hotel,' he wrote. Another pointed out how income inequality skews our perception. 'If you own a decent house, eat three meals a day and own a vehicle, you are in India's top 10%, maybe even top 5%. But this... this is the 0.01%,' he wrote. Then came the jaw-dropping stories. One commenter described their circle of 'super duper rich' friends who casually spend Rs 2-3 lakh a month just on food, outings and everyday indulgences. 'They host parties that cost more than most people's annual income. One friend buys handbags worth Rs 30 lakh like they are grocery items. New ones every couple of months,' wrote the user. Another added, 'Destination weddings, five-star farmhouses, personal stylists, private chefs and a small army of staff. Their household salaries alone cross Rs 2-3 lakh every month.' For the average Indian, these stories might read like scenes from a movie. But they are not. They are very real and revealing. In a country where millions still live on a few hundred rupees a day, this viral Reddit thread has lifted the curtain, just a little, on how wildly different life can be when you are living in India's rarest percentile.

On the occasion of Balakrishna's birthday on Monday, a powerful teaser of the film was unveiled. The teaser shows the actor embodying the fierce essence of Lord Shiva. The visual of the Trishul, flanked by Nandi and set against the snow-capped backdrop of Kailasam, is breathtaking and steeped in spiritual symbolism. Balakrishna's powerful walk adds a touch of majesty, while the scenes where he hurls goons aside and the intense Trishul-neck shot are jaw-dropping. The film is currently being shot in the scenic locales of Georgia, where a major sequence is underway. Akhanda 2: Thandavam stars Nandamuri Balakrishna, Samyuktha, and Aadhi Pinisetty (as the main antagonist). The film is helmed by Boyapati Sreenu and produced by Raam Achanta and Gopi Achanta under the 14 Reels Plus banner, with presentation by M Tejeswini Nandamuri. The music is composed by S.
