Euro-Mediterranean calls for independent investigation into attack on Gaza-bound ship Al-Dameer
Gaza - (Saba):
The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor confirmed that the targeting of the aid ship Al-Dameer, bound for the Gaza Strip, by drones in international waters, 17 nautical miles off the coast of Malta, is a flagrant violation of the UN Charter, the Law of the Sea, and the Rome Statute, which prohibits the targeting of humanitarian objects.
The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor stated that "the attack falls within a recurring and documented pattern of the use of force to prevent ships from reaching Gaza, even before they approach its shores."
It called for an independent and transparent investigation under Maltese jurisdiction and with UN participation, stressing the need to hold accountable all those who planned, ordered, or participated in this attack.
It also called for immediate guarantees for safe maritime passage for humanitarian aid bound for Gaza.
The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor stated that any failure to act today will only encourage further attacks on humanitarian missions and deepen the catastrophe unfolding in Gaza. It emphasized that neutrality in the face of this crime does not absolve one of responsibility, but rather perpetuates impunity.

Following Abu Obeida's statement, demonstrations erupt in Tel Aviv demanding agreement to return prisoners from Gaza
Al-Quds – Saba: Hundreds of Zionist settlers demonstrated Saturday evening in the Israeli capital, Jaffa (Tel Aviv), demanding an end to the genocide in Gaza and a prisoner exchange deal. These demonstrations came after statements by Abu Obeida, the official spokesman for al-Qassam Brigades (the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas), in which he warned that the life of prisoner Matan Zatgauker is in danger due to the Israeli enemy army's attempt to free him, according to the Al-Mayadeen channel website. Abu Obeida categorically affirmed that the Zionist enemy will not be able to recover this prisoner alive, and if this prisoner is killed during the attempt to free him, the enemy army will be the one responsible for his death, after we preserved his life for a year and eight months. He who warns is excused." The prisoner's father, Tzatgauker, said, "I can't bear this nightmare anymore," stressing that the enemy's prime minister, the war criminal wanted by the International Criminal Court, Benjamin Netanyahu, "is using the Israeli army to continue the war and protect his government." The Hebrew website Ynet quoted the prisoner's father, Bar Kuperstein, as demanding that the criminal Netanyahu agree to a deal that would return all the prisoners. He confirmed that the prisoner is suffering from fear of the army's bombardment of the Gaza Strip, and has been "without food and daylight for 610 days." The prisoner's father, Omar Nautra, said, "The truth must be told: We will not return everyone unless we agree to end the war," adding that the prisoners will not be returned if we continue fighting endlessly. Earlier on Saturday, the Committee of Families of Israeli Prisoners in Gaza reiterated that "ending the war and reaching an agreement is the only way to return the prisoners alive." The Prisoners' Families Committee categorically rejected any partial prisoner release agreement, considering that such agreements pose a threat to their lives and waste valuable opportunities for their safe return. Hebrew media outlets quoted the committee's statements, stressing that a partial prisoner release is a dangerous concept that wastes valuable time and puts all prisoners at risk. They called for an end to the "war" and the immediate return of all prisoners at once. The prisoners' families accused the criminal Netanyahu of obstructing a comprehensive agreement for political reasons, noting that his refusal to end the "war" at this time serves his narrow political interests and does not reflect the interests of the state or the families. With American and European support, the Israeli enemy army has been committing genocidal crimes in the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, resulting in the martyrdom of 54,772 Palestinian citizens, the majority of whom were children and women, and the injury of 125,834 others. To date, this is a preliminary toll, with thousands of victims still buried under the rubble and on the streets, unable to be reached by ambulances and rescue teams. Al-Ahrar Al-Filastiniyya says Zionist enemy using art to starve innocent people to death, bomb homes, shelters
Gaza – Saba: Al-Ahrar Al-Filastiniyya Movement said on Saturday that the Zionist enemy is deliberately using its art to starve innocent people to death and bomb homes and shelters, with their residents inside, in full view of the Arab and Islamic world. The movement added in a statement, "In response to this, we do not see any Arab or Islamic condemnation or action. We are united with them by one Eid. How can the Arab and Islamic nations live while the Palestinian people are being slaughtered in cold blood with the weapons of hunger and genocide? How can they enjoy a holiday?" The movement pointed out that the Nazi Zionist enemy once again committed a horrific, bloody massacre during the blessed Eid al-Adha, targeting the home of the Abu Sharia family in Gaza, leaving more than 15 martyrs and many more wounded, some of whom remain under the rubble to this day. It condemned in the strongest terms the criminal Zionist enemy's perpetration of these massacres and slaughters against innocent civilians, children, and women, holding the US administration fully responsible for these crimes, as well as the Zionist Nazis for their unlimited support in terms of equipment, supplies, and international cover. The movement emphasized that the Nazi Zionist enemy and its fascist leaders are persistently targeting innocent Palestinian children and women, every time the resistance fighters make them taste the horrors of hell, open its gates upon them, and pelt them with the stones of David, destroying their pride, shattering their chariots, and humiliating their embattled army and leaders. The movement condemned the suspicious international silence regarding the ongoing genocide against the Palestinian people, which only whets the appetite of the Zionist enemy to continue its aggression and commit more war crimes, with the green light in its hand. The movement called on "international and UN organizations, and the unjust world that applies double standards, to assume their responsibilities, pressure the Zionist enemy to stop the bloodshed in the Gaza Strip, and work seriously to halt the crimes of genocide against the people of the Gaza Strip."
