GAZA (WAM)At least seven Palestinians were martyred and several others injured early Sunday in a series of Israeli airstrikes targeting Gaza City and Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip, Palestinian News & Information Agency (WAFA) reported.According to local medical sources, five people, including two women and a child, were martyred when Israeli warplanes struck a tent sheltering displaced families in the Al-Mawasi area west of Khan Younis. Several others sustained injuries in the same attack.Meanwhile, Israeli forces continued to demolish residential buildings in central Khan Younis. Heavy artillery shelling was also reported in the Al-Mawasi area of Rafah, compounding the already dire humanitarian situation in southern Gaza.This escalation comes as the overall death toll in the Gaza Strip continues to rise since October 7, 2023, bringing the total to 56,412 martyrs, the majority of whom are women and children, and 133,054 injured, according to the latest figures released by Palestinian health authorities.
Meanwhile, the Israeli army issued mass evacuation orders on Sunday warning residents of multiple densely populated neighbourhoods in Gaza City and Jabalia of 'intensifying military activity' across the northern part of the Strip.

He said Washington, having given billions of dollars worth of aid to Israel, was not going to "stand for this". A spokesperson for the Israeli prosecution declined to comment on Trump's post. Netanyahu on X retweeted Trump's post and added: "Thank you again, @realDonaldTrump. Together, we will make the Middle East Great Again!" Trump said Netanyahu was "right now" negotiating a deal with Hamas, though neither leader provided details, and officials from both sides have voiced scepticism over prospects for a ceasefire soon. On Friday, the Republican president told reporters he believed a ceasefire was close. Interest in resolving the Gaza conflict has heightened in the wake of the U.S. and Israeli bombings of Iran's nuclear facilities.

Israel army issues evacuation warning for parts of north Gaza
Israel's military issued on Sunday an evacuation order for the northern Gaza Strip, warning Palestinians in parts of Gaza City and nearby areas of imminent action there, more than 20 months into the war with the Palestinian group Hamas. Israeli forces "will operate with intense force in these areas, and these military operations will intensify and expand... to destroy the capabilities of the terrorist organisations", military spokesman Avichay Adraee said in a statement posted on X alongside a map of northern Gaza, telling residents to "evacuate immediately south to Al-Mawasi" for safety. Dubai Police summer programme for students kicks off in 16 training centres

This year, the programme welcomes 1,332 students from 35 countries, aged 11 to General Department of Anti-Narcotics' International Hemaya Centre is organising the programme in partnership with the Ministry of Education, the Knowledge and Human Development Authority in Dubai (KHDA), various external entities, as well as several police stations and general of the General Department of Anti-Narcotics, Major General Eid Mohammad bin Thani Harib, underscored the Dubai Police's commitment to supporting and organising summer programmes and activities for students at the end of the academic noted that the goal is to maximise students' time, foster a strong sense of national identity, promote respect for laws and regulations, instil values of loyalty, and cultivate a generation of informed youth aware of significant issues and risks.'This preparation empowers them to tackle challenges responsibly and professionally, helping them avoid legal troubles,' he highlighted that developing a student's character necessitates the collaborative efforts of all institutions, grounded in scientific principles that can nurture a new generation of leaders for both the government and private sectors.
