Video shows the man swinging on the ropes as he allegedly attempts to board the ship.
He was later picked up in a police boat and taken to the local station.
The man has reportedly been charged with three offences including entering a cleared zone when not screened and entering land-side and water-side restricted areas without authorization.
He is now on bail but is scheduled to appear at Sydney's Downing Centre Local Court on June 11.
A police statement at the time said: 'At about 2:55pm today (Saturday 17 May 2025) police were called to a boat terminal at The Rocks, following reports a man had attempted to climb onto a cruise ship via a mooring line.
'On arrival, police attached to Marine Area Command found the man suspended over the water from the mooring line.'
In two videos posted on TikTok, the man can be seen swinging from the ropes, before being pulled into the waiting police boat.

Instead of asking him outright, she decided to create an account on the dating app Tinder, the same one he was using to meet other women. Emmy used different pictures in her profile so he wouldn't know it was her and began to message him. Not long after, she revealed they planned to go on a date. She said: "(I) told him to meet 'me.'" While he did turn up for the date, Emmy obviously didn't but he did send him a savage message from her new persona. "When he did, I texted and said I saw him but left because I thought he was too ugly," she said. But her revenge plot didn't end there. Later, when he came home to Emmy with his tail tucked between his legs, she decided to give him the same treatment. She broke up with him then and there, telling him she didn't find him attractive anymore. 3 Women are praising her for getting her own back Credit: tiktok/@emstove22 How my 'perfect' beauty regime exposed my ex as a cheating rat - what his other woman did is totally unforgivable But the clever woman didn't let him know she knew he was cheating or that she was one of the 'girls' he cheated with to make him feel even worse about being called unattractive twice in one day. "Hope he has self-esteem issues for eternity," she captioned the post. The clip was shared on her TikTok account @emstove22 and it soon went viral with over 1.5 million views and 222k likes. People were quick to praise her revenge tactic with some claiming she should do it again. Four red flags your partner is cheating Private Investigator Aaron Bond from BondRees revealed four warning signs your partner might be cheating. They start to take their phone everywhere with them In close relationships, it's normal to know each other's passwords and use each other's phones, if their phone habits change then they may be hiding something. Aaron says: "If your partner starts changing their passwords, starts taking their phone everywhere with them, even around the house or they become defensive when you ask to use their phone it could be a sign of them not being faithful." "You should also look at how they place their phone down when not in use. If they face the phone with the screen facing down, then they could be hiding something." They start telling you less about their day When partners cheat they can start to avoid you, this could be down to them feeling guilty or because it makes it easier for them to lie to you. "If you feel like your partner has suddenly begun to avoid you and they don't want to do things with you any more or they stop telling you about their day then this is another red flag." "Partners often avoid their spouses or tell them less about their day because cheating can be tough, remembering all of your lies is impossible and it's an easy way to get caught out," says Aaron. Their libido changes Your partner's libido can change for a range of reasons so it may not be a sure sign of cheating but it can be a red flag according to Aaron. Aaron says: "Cheaters often have less sex at home because they are cheating, but on occasions, they may also have more sex at home, this is because they feel guilty and use this increase in sex to hide their cheating. You may also find that your partner will start to introduce new things into your sex life that weren't there before." They become negative towards you Cheaters know that cheating is wrong and to them, it will feel good, this can cause tension and anxiety within themselves which they will need to justify. "To get rid of the tension they feel inside they will try to convince themselves that you are the problem and they will become critical of you out of nowhere. Maybe you haven't walked the dog that day, put the dishes away or read a book to your children before bedtime. A small problem like this can now feel like a big deal and if you experience this your partner could be cheating," warns Aaron. One person wrote: "Big fan of your work." Another commented: 'Him losing twice the same night is gold." "Ma'am you are a psychological genius," penned a third. "He's still thinking about that to this day. In fact his new girlfirend has to remind him he's beautiful once a week." Meanwhile a fourth said: "He was trying to play checkers but BABYYY you were playing CHESS." "Not gonna lie that's a pretty solid way of handling that,' claimed a fifth. Someone else added: 'Girl, if you don't catfish him every year like it's a nationally observed holiday, what are you doing with your life? Get him again."

Hilarious moment bumbling cops struggle to break down door as mocking neighbours shout ‘go on… knock it!'

Despite multiple efforts, the officers appeared to be unable to break down a front door. Onlookers couldn't hide their amusement at the officers' inability to break down the front door. One chuckling onlooker teased them, taunting: "Bit Harder!" "Go on, hit it!" They then mocked the fumbling officers with a killer line: "Call yourself a police force? "There's no force in ya!" Two officers can be seen repeatedly attempting to barge down the door. Even while using a handheld ram and a hooligan bar they are unable able to enter the house. Two other visible cops can be seen standing idly by as their colleagues floundered at the house's entrance. The door does appear to have suffered some damage, as there is a significant dent is visible on its left side, as well as fractures to its top, glass window. Yet it remained upright and intact. Many seeing the social media video online were quick to mock the officers' fruitless efforts. One man commented: "They couldn't break into an Easter egg." Another said they, "Couldn't open an advent calendar door." One comment even appears onscreen at the end of the video saying: "Rumour has it they're still trying." Some people saw a darker side to the video, believing it showed a decline in British policing standards. "Police are losing respect, it's what it's come to. So sad," commented one viewer. A different TikTok user said: "It's a shame because I have respect for the police. "But currently the state of this country is a joke. In a twist, one user, claiming to be a former Method of Entry instructor, even seemed to spot why the police were having such little success. He said: "Use the other end of hooligan bar i.e. the wedge knocked into the door gap. "Then pull on the bar and the door (usually) opens."

Nick Kyrgios's role as Wimbledon pundit to end after only one year

Nick Kyrgios will not be part of the BBC's Wimbledon coverage this year and the Australian is set to miss the tournament as a player too. The BBC was criticised for hiring the 30-year-old for Wimbledon last year after he admitted assaulting an ex-girlfriend. Sources close to the broadcaster have confirmed that Kyrgios will not be part of the line-up for the 2025 event, which starts on June 30. Kyrgios confirmed last week that his hopes of playing in SW19 for the first time since 2022, when he reached the final, had been dashed by a setback in his recovery from injury. In 2023 Kyrgios admitted to assaulting his ex-girlfriend Chiara Passari when he pushed her over during an argument, but avoided a criminal conviction after a magistrate ruled that the offence was 'low-level'. He was also criticised for sharing social media posts by the misogynist influencer Andrew Tate — he later deleted them. Last year the BBC was forced to defend its decision to hire Kyrgios, saying: 'We are in no way condoning his cited previous actions or behaviours, on and off the court, and he is employed to share his views on tennis only.' Kyrgios has also been outspoken in recent months about the leniency of a three-month ban given to the French Open finalist and world No1 Jannik Sinner after two positive drugs tests in 2024. Kyrgios, who has been open about his mental health struggles, said the sanction showed that 'fairness in tennis does not exist'. Last year he told the interviewer Louis Theroux it was 'impossible' that the pyramids had been built by humans and also indicated he believed there was evidence to back up other conspiracy theories, including whether the moon landings had actually taken place.
