BTS
RM
, along with members V, Jimin, and
Jungkook
, were all recently discharged from their mandatory military service. On his first livestream after returning to civilian life, RM detailed how much he used to struggle in the army and how he struggled with issues like insomnia during his service.
Shortly after, a Korean article went viral, using his words out of context and linking him to the ongoing NewJeans and Min Hee Jin case.
RM opens up about his mental health during the military
After being discharged, BTS RM held a solo live stream to directly interact with fans and connect with them after his discharge. Throughout the live, the singer discussed his experience in the military and how difficult it had been for him to cope with everything over the past 18 months.
He shared how he suffered from mental health issues and insomnia, and how the act of sleeping itself has started to scare him. He detailed that 'To be honest, I'm still scared of the night even now. I'm scared of the fact that I have to sleep. Lying down and being still for 3 to 4 hours is truly hell.'
He continued that he had to go to a doctor to get medication to sleep properly. The leader of the group also pointed out how he was advised by his doctor that the issues may be occurring due to military, so to get better and lower his medication, RM has been trying to get back to his normal schedule.
'To be honest, half of my diary is filled with my sleep problem story. Because I really couldn't sleep,' he also added.
RM's words taken out of context, linked to NewJeans and Min
Hee Jin
Soon after the clips from RM's live stream went viral online, an article popped up on a popular Korean media outlet that linked the member's words to the ongoing case with NewJeans, sparking major outrage.
According to Koreaboo, the now-deleted article talked about RM opening up about his mental health and time in the military, and connected it to him being 'stressed' about the ongoing case with NewJeans, Min Hee Jin and the group's former label.
RM mentioned that he started suffering from sleep issues in April-May last year, which was directly related to the ongoing case. The article stated that 'The period RM referred to—April 2023—was when tensions between HYBE and former ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin were at their peak. At the time, HYBE launched an audit and filed a criminal complaint against Min for an alleged breach of trust regarding management control over ADOR.
'
Fans outraged at viral article react strongly online
The article faced a lot of backlash from netizens and fans alike who flooded the comment section under the article with their opinions. One stated that 'The level of trash journalism, wow,' while another commented, 'Wow, that headline is something else.'
People called out the publishers and the journalist involved in writing the article and criticised them for taking the idol's words out of context.

Siddhant Chaturvedi makes his Korean debut alongside Chae Soo-bin, leaves fans furious: ‘How much whitening was done?'

Bollywood actor Siddhant Chaturvedi has just made his Korean media debut – and fans are kind of into it but mostly confused. The actor stars opposite K-drama favourite Chae Soo-bin in a new ad for Crocs Japan that's equal parts rainy-day romance and fever dream. The ad opens with Soo-bin walking down a rain-soaked street when Siddhant's car whizzes past, splashing her with muddy water. Classic meet-cute, right? Turns out, he's pulled over just ahead with a flat tyre. She approaches him, offers an umbrella, and the two share a flirty little walk that ends with her splashing his shoes in return. A post shared by 蔡秀彬채수빈台灣後援站ChaesoobinTWfanclub (@chaesoobintwfanclub) The vibe is vaguely Bollywood monsoon romance meets Korean whimsy — except it's not quite either. And fans are loving the awkward charm of it all. 'Korean actress Chae Soobin with Indian actor Siddhant Chaturvedi filmed in India for a Crocs Japan ad… what kind of crossover is this,' wrote one user on X. Another quipped, 'I can't tell if I like or dislike Siddhant Chaturvedi in this Korean style rom com but I think he should be the first actor from India to headline a K show (which is not an Ekta Kapoor show) 🙂‍↔️.' But not everyone's sold on the collab. Some fans were quick to point out how different Siddhant looked in the ad. 'Korean team had whitewashed him for this ad to blend,' said one. Another added, 'How much whitening has to be done to be in this ad lol.' And one user summed it up with a bang: 'This looks so AI-generated help.' But beyond the oddball execution, the ad seems to be part of a bigger trend — the globalisation of stardom via K-pop's massive influence. From Tom Cruise hanging with BTS' Jin to Jackson Wang collaborating with Diljit Dosanjh, the East-meets-West formula is alive and thriving. Siddhant's entry into this world might feel random, but it's a sign of just how borderless pop culture is becoming. So is this the start of Siddhant's K-entertainment era? Or just a strange footnote in Crocs' ad campaign history? Either way, fans are watching — even if they're not sure why.

BTS' J-Hope Makes History: 'Killin' It Girl' Hits 1M Views In 43 Mins, Beats BLACKPINK's Jennie

Last Updated: J-Hope's 'Killin' It Girl' becomes 2025's fastest Korean song to hit 1M YouTube views, beating Jennie's solo record. BTS ARMY celebrates the record-breaking feat. BTS' very own Jung Hoseok — better known to the world as J-Hope — has made a blazing return to the global stage, and he's doing it with swagger, soul, and serious speed records. Dropping his highly anticipated digital single Killin' It Girl on June 13, J-Hope didn't just meet expectations — he obliterated them. In a jaw-dropping feat, the track's music video hit 1 million views on YouTube in just 43 minutes, making him the fastest Korean act to reach the milestone in 2025. With this, J-Hope surpassed even BLACKPINK's Jennie, whose solo track Like Jennie previously held the record. Teaming up with American rap sensation GloRilla, Killin' It Girl is a high-voltage, genre-blending anthem that fuses bouncy pop rhythms with gritty hip-hop beats. J-Hope's fiery verses, GloRilla's razor-sharp bars, and the sheer magnetism of their on-screen presence have sent ARMYs into overdrive. Described by BigHit Music as a 'hip-hop track that captures the adrenaline of love at first sight," Killin' It Girl isn't just another comeback — it's a cultural reset. From its self-love messaging to its pulsating choreography, the song celebrates bold confidence, irresistible charm, and the electric thrill of infatuation. The visual appeal of the video is equally explosive. J-Hope's sharp new look — leaner, bolder, and brimming with charisma — pairs seamlessly with the sultry energy of professional dancer Alyssa Santos, whose chemistry with the BTS rapper lights up the screen. The timing couldn't be more poetic: J-Hope's comeback single lands squarely during BTS' 12th anniversary week, adding another layer of celebration for ARMYs worldwide. And if that weren't enough, he's set to take the stage in Seoul tonight (June 13), closing out his Hope on the Stage tour with a performance that promises to be every bit as unforgettable as his new release. As Killin' It Girl continues to dominate charts and ignite timelines, one thing is clear: J-Hope isn't just back — he's killin' it First Published:

Is aespa's Karina dating Stray Kids' Hyunjin after Lee Jae Wook? Old posts, sasaeng chats, and Giselle link resurface

The internet is once again abuzz with rumors linking aespa's Karina and Stray Kids' Hyunjin romantically. Past online posts and screenshots allegedly shared by sasaeng fans (obsessive and invasive followers) have resurfaced. On June 13, several trending discussions on Weibo, Korean blogs, and forums revisited a fan community post from October 2024. The post claimed that Karina was spotted having a video call with a male idol inside a car. The idol was allegedly Hyunjin, and the sighting took place during aespa's overseas schedule. According to these accounts, the sighting took place on the day of a Chinese fansign event. She was witnessed by onlookers who claimed to be present near the idol's vehicle. Karina or Giselle? According to the viral post, Karina and fellow aespa member Giselle were seen traveling together in a white vehicle. Meanwhile, Winter and Ningning were said to be riding in separate cars or were not present at the event. In the post, Karina was allegedly seen holding her phone at an angle suggestive of a video call. She was smiling and seemingly engrossed in a private conversation. Soon after, screenshots of leaked group chat logs among Chinese sasaengs began circulating. One of the images claimed a certain female idol (heavily implied to be Karina) was seen on a call with a male idol. The speculation rapidly intensified, with some fans insisting the man on the call was Hyunjin. However, conflicting accounts soon emerged, with some fans suggesting that it was Giselle, not Karina, who was on the call. However, no clear video or image has been released to confirm who was actually involved. Meanwhile, fans also accuse sasaengs of spreading misinformation based on blurry observations and assumptions. Not the first time for this pair This isn't the first time the two idols have been tied together by online rumors. Back in 2021, Hyunjin was briefly suspected of being involved with Karina. Fans thought they recognized Karina's face as the wallpaper on his phone during a livestream. Soon, Hyunjin personally cleared the air. He explained that the wallpaper was a drawing he created after watching a favorite movie, and not a photo of Karina. The situation quickly died down as fans accepted his explanation. Moreover, Karina's personal life had previously made headlines when she confirmed a brief relationship with actor Lee Jae Wook in early 2024. Their romance was initially revealed by a Korean news outlet. It was reported that the pair often met in private and took late-night walks. However, it ended just weeks later, with both sides confirming their split due to busy schedules. No official comment yet As of now, neither SM Entertainment (aespa's agency) nor JYP Entertainment (Stray Kids' agency) has made any comment regarding the situation. It remains to be seen whether either company will issue statements clarifying or dismissing the rumors, or choose to ignore them altogether.
