Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. and e& have announced a strategic collaboration. The partnership aims to drive technological development and commercialization across a wide range of advanced connectivity, 5G, and edge AI technologies.
The companies revealed that this move is part of a larger effort to accelerate digital transformation in the government, enterprise, and industrial sectors.
Edge computing, which involves processing data closer to where it is generated, is central to the initiative. This approach enables faster insights, reduced latency, and improved security.
The collaboration is expected to support key areas of the UAE economy. Qualcomm Technologies and e& plan to focus on several key applications: Industrial and enterprise 5G edge AI gateways, helping core sectors deploy AI at the network edge to boost performance.
Edge AI devices, including PCs and XR devices powered by Snapdragon® platforms, supporting on-device generative AI and secure AI inferencing.
Smart mobility and safety solutions to enhance transportation infrastructure and road safety.
Additionally, the companies reported plans to develop connected industrial IoT solutions for enterprise use.
Qualcomm will leverage its newly established Qualcomm Engineering Center in Abu Dhabi to support the collaboration. The center will help evaluate new use cases and speed up the adoption of 5G and edge AI in sectors such as energy, manufacturing, logistics, retail, and mobility.
Cristiano Amon, President and CEO of Qualcomm Incorporated, stated that the partnership will foster collaboration in transformative technologies. He emphasized the importance of innovation across Qualcomm's enterprise and government ecosystem.
Hatem Dowidar, Group CEO of e&, noted that the agreement will significantly support enterprise digital transformation in the UAE. He highlighted that the AI solutions will drive real-time intelligence, improve operational efficiency, and enhance public services across various sectors.
Together, Qualcomm Technologies and e& aim to bring powerful AI solutions to the edge and strengthen the UAE's position in the global technology landscape.

The company revealed six new Copilot+ PCs with advanced AI capabilities and modern features. The new laptops are available in sleek 14- and 16-inch models. They offer a range of configurations, blending powerful performance and stylish design at affordable prices. Acer reported that these devices are designed for a wide audience. They target students, professionals, and families needing reliable daily computing with extended battery life. As Copilot+ PCs, the laptops feature exclusive AI tools. These include Recall (preview), Click to Do (preview), and improved Windows Search. These tools aim to streamline tasks and improve productivity. Acer also introduced its proprietary AI apps: AcerSense™ for easy device management for easy device management Acer LiveArt™ 2.0 and PurifiedView™ 2.0 for content creation and for content creation PurifiedVoice™ 2.0 for enhanced videoconferencing The Aspire 14 AI and Aspire 16 AI models have a slim aluminum build.
