OVER 2: ENG 21/1 (Smith 13 Buttler 4)
Buttler gets off the mark with a lofted drive straight down the ground. A stand-and-deliver type shot. A bit full from Shepherd. Another single to Buttler to finish the over. Fair to say the atmosphere in the ground is a little... dead at the moment. Plenty of people there, though.

WICKET! Duckett c Hope b Shepherd 1
Duckett tries to pull a slower ball back of a length and he is caught out... figuratively and literally. West Indies have an early wicket. Got a bit high and him and it went straight up in the air. Shai Hope gets under it and it is a very simple catch.

OVER 1: ENG 16/0 (Duckett 1 Smith 13)
Jason Holder to open the bowling. Four runs off the second ball of the over with Smith driving well down the ground. A bit of a delay as sawdust is applied to the footmarks on the pitch. Smith then goes over the top to a short one which is hoiked over to the deep square leg boundary. Guided it rather than killing it.
Shai Hope thinks he might have caught Duckett with a snick down the leg side but he is the only one on the field. The umpire signals a wide and Duckett is off the mark next ball with a single. A very good first over for England so far without too much drama.
It gets better as Smith then picks up his third four of the over by charging down the wicket and thumping the ball down the ground. He didn't get all of it and it sounded a bit... clothy... but it beat Andre Russell to the boundary.

They are going to have a bat.
Harry Brook, England captain: 'It looks like a good pitch and hopefully we can get a decent score on the board.'
Jos Buttler is batting at three. Hopefully he can do what he usually does, score big runs and win us matches,' Brook says.

Mark Wood returns to bowling... at a very gentle intensity
Good evening from Chester-le-Street, which is looking delightful in the sun. So we are expecting a full game. Local hero Mark Wood isn't playing, of course, but he made his first – very gentle – return to bowling today which should give England some cheer for the challenges that lie ahead.

Tottenham captain Son Heung-min breaks silence on Ange Postecoglou's brutal axeing after Europa League triumph
Son Heung-min heaped praise on Ange Postecoglou after the Australian was sacked as Tottenham manager. The football world was rocked on Friday as Tottenham announced they had parted ways with their head coach after two years. The decision came just 16 days after Postecoglou had led Spurs to glory in Bilbao, defeating Manchester United 1-0 at the San Mames to win the Europa League. Victory also marked the club's first silverware since a league cup triumph in 2008, and marked their first European trophy in over four decades. In a Instagram post on Saturday, Son hailed Postecoglou's influence in north London and claimed he is 'a better player and a better person' as a result of working under the former Celtic boss. 'Gaffer. You've changed the trajectory of this club,' the Spurs captain wrote. 'You believed in yourself, and us, since day one and never wavered for a second. Even when others did. 'You knew what we were capable of all along. You did it your way. And your way brought this club the best night it's had in decades. We will have those memories for life. 'You trusted me with the captaincy. One of the highest honours of my career. 'It's been an incredible privilege to learn from your leadership up close, I am a better player and a better person because of you. 'Ange Postecoglou, you are a Tottenham Hotspur legend forever. Thank you, mate.'
