Elsewhere, Irish festival fans were up in arms last month after battling it out for the last of Electric Picnic tickets.
With the majority of tickets already sold out well before any acts were announced, eager fans had one last chance to try and nab a ticket or two for the major weekend.
The last tickets were snapped up within 15 minutes of the sale going live on Ticketmaster, with those not lucky enough taking to X to vent their frustrations.
Electric Picnic will take place from August 29 to August 31.

‘Just throw yourself in there' – Former Love Islanders Catherine Agbaje and Toby Aromoloran give advice to newest Irish contestant

Fellow Dubliner Agbaje was a contestant on series 10 of Love Island in 2023 and also took part in this year's series of Love Island: All Stars. Aromoloran, whose mother Victoria is from Crossmolina in Co Mayo, was the runner-up on series seven of the show and also returned to the show on All Stars. Agbaje said she is sure Clarke, who is drawing comparisons to Maura Higgins, will get on well in the villa. "Dubliners are friendly. I feel like she'll get on with everyone and I'm just happy to see someone from Dublin in the Villa again. I feel like you need a Dublin person,' she said. 'The thing is – can English guys deal with Irish girls?' Aromolan asked. 'We're feisty,' Agbaje replied. She said there is an adjustment period that comes with heading into the Love Island world for the first time. "Being from Ireland and going into the villa, you don't know what to expect. It's a whole different culture out there, a whole different set of rules, but I feel like she'll be fine. Once you go in there, you're yourself, you make friends with the girls,' she said. "Irish girls are such girl's girls, so I feel she will be a girl's girl and be able to stand her foot.' Aromoloran said he found the pressure of life after Love Island easier to cope with as he exited the villa in a relationship with his fellow contestant Chloe Burrows. "I came out in a relationship, so we leaned on each other, which was a lot better than just coming out by yourself. I feel like the pressure of that is really hard, even though the pressure of the relationship is quite hard as well,' he said. "I quite enjoyed it, to be honest. I thought it was quite fun, something different and out of the ordinary, a different situation I've never been in. I leaned into it in a way, and found it funny half the time.' Both Agbaje and Aromoloran are yet to find love, but both said they would not do anything differently if they were heading back into the villa this year. Reflecting on what he learned from the experience, Aromoloran said: 'I've learned, from the first time ever, I didn't know anything about love. Now, I feel like I know so much. "I think I know a lot now. My advice would just be, throw yourself in there, try and not overthink anything. Just throw yourself into the process of finding love. Let yourself go.' Similar sentiments were echoed by Agbaje, who advised the contestants on the upcoming series of Love Island to 'let their guard down'. "I feel like that's important because as girls, we like to hold on to stuff and unintentionally bring it into new relationships,' she said. "You just need to let your guard down and sometimes, you might have an idea of what you want, but truly no one knows what love is. It's until you feel it, it's a feeling.'

Munster hurling final ticket update as provincial council provide timeline

The Munster council are expecting Saturday's mouth-watering senior hurling final between Cork and Limerick at the TUS Gaelic Grounds to be a sellout. John Kiely's Treaty side beat Cork to finish top in the round robin phase but both counties ended with a remarkably similar record - won two, drew one and lost one each. Pat Ryan is hoping to lead the Rebels to a first provincial title since 2018 while Limerick are going for their seventh Munster title in a row. It is one of the great days in the Irish sport calendar and there is still a prospect of some tickets being returned for general sale. That will only happen if clubs do not take up the full allocation they were given in the two counties. However, a Munster council source does not expect that to happen, given the excitement and demand around the game. Tickets for the Munster hurling showpiece are still with the counties so the council can't say if it is a sellout until Thursday when any leftover tickets are due to be returned. The TUS Gaelic Grounds in Limerick has a capacity of 44,023. While it was previously expanded to 49,866 in 2004, subsequent renovations and safety regulations have limited the official capacity to 44,023.

'In the belly of the beast': Kneecap announce biggest English show to date at London arena

IRISH RAP GROUP Kneecap have announced details of a huge headline show in London – which they claim will be their biggest concert outside of Ireland yet. The new concert will see them perform at the 12,500-capacity venue, the Wembley Arena, on Thursday 18 September. The group shared the news on social media this morning, adding: 'The belly of the beast – let's go!' All London heads...💥 Our biggest ever headline show outside of Ireland will take place on September 18th at the OVO Wembley Arena. 🔥 - Pre-sale is tomorrow (Wednesday) at 10am in our WhatsApp channel. - General sale is 10am this Friday. The belly of the beast - let's go! — KNEECAP (@KNEECAPCEOL) June 3, 2025 Tickets go on pre-sale via the group's WhatsApp channel from 10am on Wednesday, with general sale on Friday. The announcement comes on the back of the band's headline performance at Wide Awake festival in London last month, which received stellar reviews despite the band's recent controversies . Advertisement Kneecap were also confirmed to be playing at Glastonbury today when the full lineup was announced . Their performance at the UK's biggest festival was in doubt after the group were pulled from Scotland's TRNSMT festival last week. Police Scotland claimed that making the set safe would require a significant operation on its part, which Kneecap questioned, stating that they have played Glasgow 'many many times with no issues – ever'. The group made headlines last month when member Mo Chara, real name Liam Óg Ó hAnnaidh, was formally charged under the UK's Terrorism Act in relation to an alleged incident at a London gig in 2023 . Ó hAnnaidh was charged in connection with allegedly displaying a flag supporting Hezbollah during a gig in November 2023, according to UK police. He is scheduled to appear in court on 18 June. Kneecap have explicitly denied ever supporting Hezbollah or Hamas since the concert video resurfaced. The trio have a number of Irish gigs coming up later this year, including a sold-out show in Fairview Park on 19 June – just one day after Mo Chara's upcoming court appearance. They are also scheduled for two nights at the 3Arena in December. Readers like you are keeping these stories free for everyone...
