Two drivers killed in head-on collision on U.S. 90, road closed: FHP
The Florida Highway Patrol says two people are dead after a crash on U.S. 90 Friday evening.
The collision happened near Log Road, near the Duval/Nassau County line.

According to FHP, two vehicles hit each other head-on. Both drivers were pronounced dead on the scene, and no one else was inside the involved vehicles.
U.S. 90 is shut down in the area as FHP investigates. Drivers are asked to find alternate routes to avoid the area.

Motorcyclists hospitalized after striking alligator on I-4: FHP
The Brief Two motorcyclists were injured in the crash with the alligator on I-4, according to troopers. FWC officials were called out to assist with the injured gator. The crash remains under investigation. VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. - Two motorcyclists were sent to the hospital after striking an alligator in the roadway. according to troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol. Officials said the motorcyclists were traveling on the inside lane on I4 westbound near mile marker 110 around 6 p.m. when they struck an alligator that was within the lane. The collision caused one of the motorcyclists, a 67-year-old man, to strike a tree. He was later transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The other motorcyclist, a 25-year-old woman, was also transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Officials with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission responded to assist with the injured gator. The crash remains under investigation.

6-year-old airlifted to the hospital after near-drowning: SJSO
A child has been hospitalized after a near-drowning in a St. Johns County neighborhood. A St. Johns County Sheriff's Office spokesperson tells us the agency responded to a drowning in the Silverleaf neighborhood. The victim was a 6-year-old, who officials say had to be airlifted to a hospital. Fatal crash involving a motorcycle in Orange County.
The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a crash that occurred Saturday evening on the northbound entrance of SR-417 from westbound SR-528. The rider of a 2022 Harley-Davidson Road Glide Special was traveling on the northbound ramp of SR-417 and failed to negotiate a curve, running off the roadway to the left. The motorcycle went down an embankment and collided with a tree. The rider was pronounced dead on the scene. The crash remains under investigation.
