Scott Peterson's Wife's Time of Death Proves Innocence, Nancy Grace Scoffs
Scott Peterson should get a new trial proving he could not have committed the murders because of new scientific evidence -- so claims The Innocence Project -- but Nancy Grace says the so-called "scientific evidence" is a load of crap.

Nancy appeared on the new episode of the "2 Angry Men" podcast and addressed a new theory that would have made it impossible for Scott Peterson -- who's serving a life sentence for the murders of Laci and their unborn child, Conner -- to have committed the crime.
The Innocence Project says based on scientific technology that was not available when Peterson was tried back in 2004, fetal testing puts the date of death somewhere between December 28, 2002 and January 5, 2003.
Prosecutors put the date of death at December 24, 2002, the same day Laci went missing. Short story -- Scott was already under the police microscope by December 28th, so he couldn't have committed the murders during that new timeframe.
Nancy was not having it ... first making it clear she has experience that Harvey and Mark don't have -- childbirth. She was also indignant these new-fangled scientists felt they knew more than Laci's OB-GYN.
Nancy also talks about her new book -- "What Happened to Ellen?: An American Miscarriage of Justice" -- about the death of Ellen Greenberg, and she has a thing or 2 to say about the Menendez brothers' bid for freedom.

Menendez Brothers Sentencing Changed to 50 Years to Life, Parole Board's Next
Erik and Lyle Menendez can celebrate a new court victory -- the judge gave them a new sentence, which allows for parole ... so now, they can get out of prison after facing the state parole board. The brothers attended Tuesday's resentencing hearing by video, and they were emotional as the judge changed their sentence to 50 years to life ... instead of the life without possibility of parole sentence they originally got. Menendez family members -- many of whom testified they wanted Erik and Lyle to be released from prison -- also erupted in joy, hugging each other in court as they celebrated their new sentences. During the hearing, the Menendez brothers admitted their crime, and even confessed they'd gone back outside to reload their shotguns ... before returning to kill their mother. As you know, the brothers' attorney, Mark Geragos -- who cohosts our "2 Angry Men" podcast -- has been pushing for the brothers to receive a reduced sentence for months, citing their rehabilitation efforts while behind bars for more than 3 decades. Now, Tuesday's decision really doesn't move Erik and Lyle any closer to release than they already were ... due to the fact Gov. Gavin Newsom ordered the state parole board, back in February, to begin reviewing their case. While former Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón supported Erik and Lyle's motion for resentencing, his successor -- D.A. Nathan Hochman -- has unequivocally stood against resentencing ... repeatedly calling on the brothers to take responsibility, acknowledge their lies, and apologize for killing their parents. The D.A.'s office received a ton of flak from Menendez family members for showing graphic crime scene photos last month during a hearing. Hochman apologized, with a few caveats, on "TMZ Live" ... but maintained it was done in the interest of sharing the full scope of the crime with the judge. Geragos fired back later ... claiming the D.A.'s office neglected to discuss the rehabilitation efforts of Erik and Lyle in any way -- and, they used the crime scene photos for their sheer shock value. The next stop for Erik and Lyle will be a June 13 date with the parole board, and if they're granted parole, and Gov. Newsom signs off on it ... they'll be released. Even if the board refuses to grant parole, Newsom could grant them clemency.

Attorney Mark Geragos calls Sean 'Diddy' Combs prosecutors a 'six-pack of white women'
Defense attorney Mark Geragos was admonished by the judge in Sean 'Diddy' Combs' sex-trafficking trial for referring to prosecutors as 'a six-pack of white women.' Geragos, who is not officially on Combs' defense team but is working with its jury consultant, made the comment recently on the '2 Angry Men' podcast he co-hosts with TMZ founder Harvey Levin. On Tuesday, U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanian told Geragos in a conversation in his chambers that he would be listening and watching him to make sure he doesn't say anything that could interfere with a fair trial. Geragos' daughter, Teny Geragos, is on Combs' legal team and has been a guest on the podcast. Mark Geragos has offered his opinion on a variety of topics about the case on '2 Angry Men,' including a March 2016 hotel surveillance video that shows Combs beating and dragging his former girlfriend Casandra Ventura, who was signed to his music label as Cassie. Prosecutors have said the video is a critical piece of evidence against Combs, 55, who is charged with sex-trafficking, racketeering and transportation to engage in prostitution. He has pleaded not guilty. Subramanian rejected a request from the defense to withhold the video from evidence. After CNN aired the video last year, Combs apologized publicly, saying that his behavior in it was 'inexcusable' and that he took full responsibility for his actions. On his podcast, Geragos described the video as 'character assassination.' Before prospective jurors were questioned Tuesday, the second day of jury selection in federal court in Manhattan, Subramanian asked Mark Geragos whether he was advising Combs. Geragos, who has had a number of high-profile clients, including O.J. Simpson, Michael Jackson and singer Chris Brown, said he has known Combs for years and is representing his mother in another case. 'I do talk with him with great frequency,' he said, adding that he has represented Combs in the past. Geragos also defended his statements, telling the judge, 'I think when you've got a Black man who's being prosecuted and the client feels like he's being targeted, it's an observation.' The prosecution asked Subramanian in a letter filed Tuesday to remind Geragos and members of his law firm not to make public statements that might hinder a fair trial. Assistant U.S. Attorney Christy Slavik, a member of the six-women prosecution team, outlined those concerns about Geragos' comments in court Tuesday, saying that the podcast has several million subscribers and his remarks could infect the jury pool. Subramanian had said he hoped to seat a jury of 12 people and six alternates by Wednesday, but it appears it could take until the end of the week.
