Naked man terrorizing Baldwin Park neighborhood
Residents are on edge after they say a naked man has been terrorizing a Baldwin Park neighborhood and aggressively chasing after women who live in the area.
On April 27, the man was captured on surveillance cameras outside a home along Puente Avenue around 11:40 p.m.
As a woman returns home, she parks her car outside, steps out to open a parking gate before getting back into her car and pulling into the driveway.
As she approaches her front door, the naked suspect quickly walks up to her while appearing to touch his private parts. The woman, who did not wish to be identified out of safety concerns, said she was fearing for her life.
'When I turned over, I saw a naked man, so I dug for my keys as fast as I could and I opened the door as quickly as I could,' she told KTLA's Chris Wolfe.
She said she was beyond frightened and could only focus on opening the front door to safety. Finally able to step inside, surveillance cameras showed the naked intruder, who was only wearing a beanie and sneakers, running away from the home.
At least two other women who live along Puente Avenue described similar confrontations with a naked suspect earlier this year.
In February, one woman described a more aggressive encounter. She arrived home from work and pulled into her driveway along Puente Avenue around 4 a.m.
She was sitting in her car and enjoying a snack when she spotted what she initially thought was a jogger, but quickly realized the man was naked except for wearing a dark knit cap on his head.
The man spots her and quickly runs up to the passenger side of her car.
'He tries to open the door,' she recalled. 'I'm just sitting in there and the doors are locked and I'm screaming. It was extremely terrifying. I've never felt so helpless before in my life. It was so scary because it was right outside my house, so now this guy knows where I live and what I look like.'
The victims said the man did not appear to be under the influence of any alcohol or drugs during the frightening confrontations.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic man in his early 20s with a fit build and tan skin. Baldwin Park police believe he may have arrived in the area on a bicycle.
The victims are hoping the man is caught soon before a future confrontation turns violent or even deadly.
'He knows where I live and he knows my car if he came back,' the woman from the April 27 incident said. 'It's really scary.'

But at this point, it is impossible not to acknowledge the truth: the system has failed these four innocent victims and their families," Aubrie wrote on the family's Facebook page. "These are not just names or headlines. Ethan Chapin, Kaylee Goncalves, Madison Mogen, and Xana Kernodle were beautiful human beings who touched countless lives," she continued. "They are not just 'The Idaho Four.' They were sons, daughters, siblings, and friends—real people with real dreams. They deserve to be remembered for who they were in life, not only for the tragedy of their deaths. But before that can truly happen, they deserve justice. Nothing less." The introduction of the plea deal weeks before the scheduled trial is "both shocking and cruel," she said, adding that the families could have had time to "process, discuss and potentially come to terms with the idea of a life sentence" if it had come sooner. "Bryan Kohberger facing a life in prison means he would still get to speak, form relationships, and engage with the world," she said. "Meanwhile, our loved ones have been silenced forever. That reality stings more deeply when it feels like the system is protecting his future more than honoring the victims' pasts." She said the justice system "was created to serve and protect—not to retraumatize grieving families," adding: "time and time again, we find ourselves blindsided, unheard, and unsupported." "This last-minute plea deal feels less like an act of justice and more like an afterthought," she said. "We are not asking for vengeance. We are asking for accountability. We are asking for dignity for our loved ones. And we are asking—pleading—for a justice system that truly lives up to its name." The family said in another post that they vaguely spoke to prosecutors Friday about the possibility of a plea deal but that it was a "hard no" for them. They said the majority of the conversation was about the upcoming trial and nothing prepared them for the next steps. They said they received an email Sunday night that sent them "scrambling" and they "immediately jumped into panic mode and started making phone calls and sending emails." The family met with the prosecution again on Monday to reiterate their support for Kohberger receiving the death penalty. "Unfortunately all of our efforts did not matter," the family said. "We DID OUR BEST! We fought harder than anyone could EVER imagine." The four victims had all been stabbed multiple times with a large knife, according to prosecutors. Police recovered a Ka-Bar sheath that they allege had Kohberger's DNA on it near Mogen's body.
