Stick: Golf Series Starring Owen Wilson Wants to be the Next Ted Lasso
Satire may have taken over modern comedy, but there's still room for some more sincere laughs with shows like Ted Lasso on Apple TV+. The series is expected to come back for one more season, but we do have a trailer for another series that pretty much wants to fill in that Lasso -shaped hole.
Check out Stick starring Owen Wilson and Marc Maron and its trailer down here:
Here's the official description:
In 'Stick,' Owen Wilson stars as Pryce Cahill, an over-the-hill, ex-pro golfer whose career was derailed prematurely 20 years ago. After the collapse of his marriage and getting fired from his job at an Indiana sporting goods store, Pryce hedges his bets, and future, entirely on a troubled 17-year-old golf phenom named Santi (Peter Dager). 'Stick' is a heartfelt, feel-good comedy about a found family and their relationships set within the world of golf as it has never been shown before.
Just like Ted Lasso took a look at professional football, Stick is going to be looking into the world of professional golf, and the series is going to be bringing in all kinds of golf superstars like Collin Morikawa, Max Homa, Keegan Bradley, and more.
Other golf figures are also expected to make an appearance including broadcasters Jim Nantz and Trevor Immelman, as well as enthusiast Dan Rapaport.
The series looks like it's wholesome enough, and we know that Lightning McQueen himself can be pretty inspiring despite being a troubled athlete. I'm just excited to see Marc Maron on a series again; seeing that I missed him when GLOW on Netflix got cancelled.
Watch out for Stick when it premieres on Apple TV+ on June 4.

'I was Crazy Strong, My Boobs Got Bigger': Sydney Sweeney on Gaining Weight for Christy Martin Biopic
Euphoria star Sydney Sweeney is probably best known for playing one kind of character, but anyone who follows her knows that she's a hard worker and she tends to lean into artsier projects. One incoming project has Sweeney playing the role of female boxing legend Christy Martin, and Sweeney had to bulk up a lot for the role. As it turns out, she gained a lot of weight over the course of a few months—and she also got 'crazy strong.' Talking to W Magazine, Sydney says that she had to undergo three and a half months of training to transform her body to look like Martin. She says, 'My body was completely different… I didn't fit in any of my clothes. I'm usually a size 23 in jeans, and I was wearing a size 27. My boobs got bigger. And my butt got huge. It was crazy! I was like, Oh my god.' Despite the aesthetic changes, Sweeney also commends that she got some functional strength out of it. She continues, 'But it was amazing: I was so strong, like crazy strong.' For now, the biopic has already wrapped, but no title has been revealed yet. We don't know exactly what to expect, but if you're curious about Martin's story, it is told via a Netflix documentary series called Untold Vol. 1: Deal with the Devil. No release date has been set for the Christ Martin biopic, but hopefully we can expect it later this year.

LEGO Sets Revealed for Netflix's One Piece
A lot of people are getting hyped for the second season of One Piece , and though they didn't have much merch in the first season, LEGO has revealed their new sets based on the live-action version of the Straw Hat Crew. Here's the official reveal: Hey there, Nakama! Are you ready for a grand adventure with the Straw Hats in LEGO bricks? 🏴☠️ Be the first in line – pre-order now. Link in bio.#LEGO #LEGOOnePiece #OnePiece #Netflix — ONE PIECE(ワンピース) Netflix (@onepiecenetflix) June 5, 2025 According to Netflix, the sets will include the Going Merry ship, Battle at Arlong Park, Buggy the Clown's Circus Tent, the Windmill Village Hut (with Shanks and Kid Luffy), and the largest set in the wave, The Baratie Floating Restaurant which not only includes the main Straw Hat crew, but some minifgs for the Navy characters and Mihawk as well. Source: Netflix, LEGO Seeing that this is LEGO, we should also expect a lot of playability with the sets as well. Just like in the series, Arlong's tower can also split in half and collapse; and Buggy's circus is full of all kinds of traps that he can put the crew in like a water tank and a cage. I'll admit, a lot of these sets are pretty great, and there's a great way to get several minifigs, even if you don't purchase the bigger sets. The Buggy set alone gets you three members of the Straw Hats; if I do have a gripe though, they should have probably added Zoro and Sanji to the Arlong Park set, but at least you get Usopp? THE ONE PIECE… THE LEGO ONE PIECE IS REALLLLLLLLLL!!!!!! — THE EVIL MIRACLE_MALICE (@MiracleSenpai) June 5, 2025 Though Netflix was considered to have been cursed when it came to anime adaptations, One Piece managed to break the mould, and everyone is excited for the Straw Hats to come back with the second season. The One Piece LEGO sets come out on Aug. 1. Season 2 for One Piece is set to come out in 2026.

Street Fighter: Walton Goggins Allegedly In Talks to Play M. Bison
Walton Goggins had played the villain in a video game movie way back when Alicia Vikander was Tomb Raider , but he could be getting physical in another video game property from Legendary. According to The InSneider, Goggins is currently in talks to play M. Bison for the Street Fighter movie. For context, Bison is considered one of the main villains in the franchise, and was also the main antagonist in the 1993 Street Fighter movie where he was played by Raul Julia. Though that movie is considered terrible by general audiences, it actually has cult status to cinephiles, and Raul Julia's portrayal of Bison was considered one of the best video game villain performances of all time. Going back to Goggins though, we know he can play a great villain, but it does feel like Bison should be able to have the physical chops as well if he's going to be a Street Fighter. If all he has to do is shoot Psycho Crushers at people though, I think it would be fun to just have Goggins just be as ridiculous of a villain as he can be. Heck, he can just do Uncle Baby Billy again from The Righteous Gemstones and I wouldn't complain: Should Goggins get the part, he would be joining a cast which includes Jason Momoa (Blanka), Andrew Koji (Ryu), Noah Centineo (Ken), and Roman Reigns (Akuma). Who knows, maybe they can get his Fallout co-star Ella Purnell to be the new Cammy; or should she be a British pop-star as well? No official release date has been set for Street Fighter , but it's expected to come to cinemas on 2026.
