Melania Appears to Doze Off During Trump's Birthday Military Parade
As President Donald Trump's birthday parade kicked off to sparse crowds and muted enthusiasm, all eyes were on those in Trump's inner circle who managed to make an appearance (those who didn't included his daughter Ivanka and her husband, Jared Kushner).
Commenters on social media were quick to note that at several points throughout the parade, First Lady Melania Trump appeared to almost be dozing off, or at least resting her eyes at multiple intervals.
At the very least, she looked incredibly bored, as did Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth. Seated between them, Trump looked disappointed or disconcerted—whatever he was feeling, the sour expression on his face suggested it was not an overly positive emotion.
Nearby on the stage, cameras caught Secretary of State Marco Rubio yawning as he leaned back in his chair while watching the $45 million proceedings go by.
Attendees in the crowd were likely incredibly bored, too. As The New York Times reported, there were no speakers along the parade route, resulting in videos where the parade is so quiet all that can be heard is the squeaking of tanks as they roll down the street.
As a result of the lack of speakers, attendees began leaving soon after the parade ended, meaning many missed Trump's speech, which the Times noted was on the shorter side.
In his brief speech, Trump defended the decision to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the establishment of the United States Army, telling the crowd, 'Every other country celebrates their victories. It's about time America did, too.'

New Photos Show That Kevin Costner & Christine Baumgartner May Not Have Buried the Hatchet Yet
It seems that despite finalizing their divorce and seemingly focusing on co-parenting, Kevin Costner and Christine Baumgartner can't seem to bury the hatchet. In photos (and eye-witness accounts) obtained by TMZ, Costner and Baumgartner were in attendance for their son Cayden's high school graduation in Santa Barbara. However, they were so far apart from one another throughout. More from SheKnows Kurt Russell & Goldie Hawn Are Allegedly Playing Matchmaker for a Newly-Single A-Lister While they were both in attendance for their son, they were on opposite ends of the school grounds to take pics with him. So while Baumgartner is planning a wedding, and Costner has moved on with his dating life, it seems the tension still hasn't died down. For those who don't know, Costner and Baumgartner divorced in 2024 after nearly 20 years together, but continue to co-parent their three children, named Cayden, Hayes, and Grace. Soon after their divorce, Baumgartner started dating her now-fiancé, Josh Connor. However, Costner alleged there was an overlap between their relationship and her new one. Baumgartner filed for divorce from the Yellowstone actor after nearly 20 years of marriage, citing 'irreconcilable differences' in the paperwork. Then, for about a year, Costner and Baumgartner's divorce played out quite publicly, with many jabs and back-and-forths based around their finances (specifically child support payments). (Fun fact: Along with his divorce from Baumgartner, Costner had another messy divorce from his first wife Cindy Silva, where he allegedly had an affair and she received an $80 million settlement.)Best of SheKnows Every Time Paris Jackson's Bold Red Carpet Fashion Took Our Breath Away Every Single Time Kate Middleton's Royal Fashion Made Us Stop in Our Tracks Ariana Madix, Kristen Stewart, & More Stars Who Had Dramatic Hair Changes

University of Alabama appears set to name 30th president
The search for a new University of Alabama president appears to have reached a conclusion. According to an email from the UA System, the board of trustees will meet June 16 to consider the appointment of UA's new president. The email, sent June 15, says a special called meeting will be held at 1:30 p.m. in the Catherine and Pettus Randall Welcome Center Theater on the UA campus. More: Search committee lists qualities University of Alabama's next president needs The agenda features one item — "consideration of appointment of 30th president at the University ofAlabama" — but does not include the name of the prospective new UA president. In January, current UA President Stuart Bell announced his plans to step down in mid-summer after leading the Tuscaloosa campus for 10 years. Shortly after Bell's announcement, the UA Presidential Search Advisory Committee was formed. The committee was led by University of Alabama System Trustee Karen P. Brooks, a Tuscaloosa native, and included UA faculty, staff, students, alumni and community members, along with other trustees and UA system leaders. Academic Search, a company with more than four decades' experience in higher education recruitment, was hired to help the search committee. The company also assisted UA in the of Bell and former president Robert E. Witt. The search committee held a series of listening sessions in late January and early February via Zoom, with more than 500 faculty, staff, students, alumni and Tuscaloosa community members participating. The goal of the listening sessions was to find out what kind of characteristics, qualifications and credentials they wanted to see in UA's next leader. In March, the search committee released 14 qualities desired in UA's next president, which included a record of significant leadership, sterling character and the ability to help guide a successful athletics program.
