Wiesbaden, June 21, 2025 – The International Centers for Precision Oncology (ICPO) Foundation announced yesterday its role as a founding member of the RLT Angels Association together with leading organizations in the field of radiotheranostics namely the European Association of Nuclear Medicine (EANM), GE HealthCare, Novartis, and RayzeBio, a Bristol Myers Squibb company. The initiative, launched on June 20, 2025, carries the mission to improve the experience and availability of radioligand imaging (RLI) and radioligand therapies (RLT) for up to one million patients globally and expand capacity to one thousand RLT Centers. Drawing on world-leading expertise, RLT Angels aims to develop open-source best practice resources such as global blueprints and tools for process optimization to support healthcare providers. Building upon its global network of Centers of Excellence and online educational platform, the ICPO Foundation sets a standard for the RLT Angels Association with respect to the accreditation harmonization of theranostics centers and to the access and scaling of certified theranostics education. The initiative will be guided by an experienced board, including Prof. Richard P. Baum for ICPO, and supported by an independent, international Scientific Advisory Board comprised of leading clinical, economic, scientific and policy experts.
The ICPO Foundation co-founding the RLT Angels Association highlights the willingness from both organizations to mutually reinforce their respective mission and sustainably grow global patient access. Thanks to strong alignment on clinical best practices, educational needs and patient outcomes, ICPO Centers of Excellence (CoE) will benefit from new resources such as medical evidence and patient advocacy, and enhance their visibility towards additional referrals and industry collaborations. The RLT Angels Association will leverage the established and active ICPO CoEs network as well as ICPO's growing educational program and global community reach out including with patient associations.
Radiotheranostics utilizes diagnostic RLI and targeted RLT to identify and fight cancer, offering precise treatment that preserves healthy tissues. RLT has demonstrated benefits in clinical trials, and commercially approved therapies are available for certain neuroendocrine tumors (NETs) and prostate cancer.1,2 With approximately 225 ongoing clinical trials, use of RLI and RLT has the potential to expand to more than 15 cancer indications, significantly increasing the number of patients who could benefit from this innovative precision-based approach.3,4
Effective delivery of radiotheranostics requires seamless coordination across supply chains, radio-safety, operational, and clinical domains. As the demand for imaging and RLT treatments continues to grow, health systems must enhance their infrastructure, processes, capacity, and skills to meet this increasing need. To address these challenges and fully realize the potential of this promising treatment modality, stakeholders across the healthcare ecosystem have united in a collaborative effort to form the RLT Angels Association.

A 'Center Recognition Program' will enable RLT Centers to measure their efficiency and quality of care. Additionally, RLT Angels will provide virtual support and online expert forums to help centers efficiently leverage these resources. The program will support centers to reach accreditation levels as defined by national and international medical societies, as well as by international non-profit organizations pursuing accreditation efforts. RLT Angels will enable standardized data collection to support evidence generation and advocacy initiatives to engage policy stakeholders and the broader public.

I'm Victoria Craig for the Wall Street Journal. Main Street banks worried about getting left behind by the push into crypto might soon get an opening. The Journal exclusively reports that financial technology giant Fiserv has plans to launch a stablecoin and platform that can be used by clients including 3,000 regional and community banks. A broad shift to crypto would put deposits at those more local banks at risk, because they're reliant on those deposits to make loans. If customers were to pull deposits and put the funds into stablecoins, it would leave those banks less room to lend and squeeze a critical revenue source. Elsewhere, German auto parts company Continental said today it's partnering with semiconductor maker GlobalFoundries to design its own vehicle computer chips. The new organization called Advanced Electronics & Semiconductor Solutions will design and test chips tailored for automotive products of its spinoff, Aumovio. Continental said the new unit will reduce geopolitical risk and make the company more self-reliant. And finally, a US-funded space observatory perched in the Andes mountains in Chile released its first images of deep space using the world's largest digital camera. It's the first time a telescope has been able to peer this far and wide into the cosmos. And for the next 10 years, the observatory will take photos of the southern sky at 30-second intervals every three to four nights. Scientists hope the project called The Legacy Survey of Space and Time will inventory the solar system, map the Milky Way, catalog billions of transient space objects, and unlock the mysteries of dark matter and energy. Turkish Airlines Fares Return to Sabre After 10 Month Absence
It seems that Turkish Airlines' push for direct bookings isn't exactly going to plan. As American Airlines already learned, travel agents aren't keen on fast change. Turkish Airlines fares will once again be available on Sabre after nearly 10 months of negotiations, according to LinkedIn posts from sales managers for both companies. That means travel agents who use the Sabre global distribution system no longer have to look elsewhere to purchase Turkish Airlines flights on behalf of clients, resolving a major headache. Turkish Airlines had removed its flights from the Sabre platform last September and travel agents were forced to book through competitors Amadeus and Travelport. The removal and lack of communication had received strong pushback from the industry. The American Society of Travel Advisors published a statement last November criticizing the airline for the move and a 'lack of clarity' about its plans. ASTA said that U.S. travel sellers use Sabre more than any other platform of its type. ASTA commended the reinstated partnership in a statement on Monday. Mark Meader, executive vice president of ASTA Corporate, said in the statement: 'This development is a welcome outcome for the U.S. travel agency community, which relies heavily on Sabre to access comprehensive, competitive flight options for their clients. ASTA appreciates both parties' efforts to restore this vital connection and encourages continued transparency and collaboration to support the travel advisor channel and the travelers it serves." A Push for Direct Bookings Turkish Airlines pulled its fares ahead of the launch of its TKConnect platform last October, where travel sellers can book flights directly with the airline. In a push for more direct bookings, the airline began imposing a surcharge of $24 per ticket for flights booked through distribution companies. Bookings through TKConnect have no fees. The distribution systems that Amadeus and Sabre provide have been the backbone of airline bookings for decades, but the industry is exploring other options. For airlines, they're often looking to circumvent the growing fees that come with working through an intermediary. The industry is taking some steps to move toward a more modern airfare shopping experience, which is what TKConnect aims to provide. Amadeus, Sabre, and Travelport have been pushing their own versions of this tech. The latest agreement between Turkish Airlines and Sabre includes an integration into Sabre's modern distribution platform, according to the LinkedIn posts. American Airlines had been transitioning to a similar strategy focused on direct bookings and modern retail until it backtracked for what the CEO said was poor execution. American Airlines is still behind on revenue goals because of that attempt, though the company says it's on track to fully recover by the end of the year. Sabre confirmed the agreement but did not provide additional details. Turkish Airlines did not respond to a request for comment.

These are the airlines that have suspended Middle East flights
Gil Cohen-Magen/AFP Global airlines have suspended or reduced flights in the Middle East as the conflict between Israel and Iran rages after the United States bombed three Iranian nuclear enrichment sites at the weekend. The United States carried out strikes against Iranian nuclear sites overnight on Saturday to Sunday after over a week of deadly missile exchanges between Israel and Iran. Here is the latest airline situation: European airlines British Airways cancelled flights between London's Heathrow Airport and Dubai and Doha on Sunday following the US strikes on Iran. The airline said on Monday it was scheduled to operate those routes as normal, though there were some cancellations ahead of a clutch of evening flights. Air France halted flights to Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates until at least Tuesday inclusive, the airline said. It also extended the suspension of the Paris-Tel Aviv route until 14 July. Flights of Air France's low-cost carrier Transavia from Paris to Beirut have been suspended until 30 June while the Tel Aviv route is closed until 7 September. Germany's Lufthansa group, whose other airlines include Swiss, Austrian and ITA, has suspended flights to the Middle East until 30 June. DEVELOPING | Qatar says security situation 'stable' after Iran attack on US base The Amman and Erbil, Iraq, routes were also suspended until 11 July. The group will not fly to Tel Aviv and Tehran will until 31 July and is also avoiding the air space of countries involved in the conflict. Greece's Aegean Airlines has stopped Tel Aviv flights until 12 July. Its Amman, Beirut and Erbil routes are closed until 28 June. Turkish airline Pegasus has scrapped flights to Iraq, Jordan and Lebanon until 30 June, and Iran until 30 July. Flag carrier Turkish Airlines on Monday cancelled its remaining flights for the day to Bahrain, Dammam, Doha, Dubai, Kuwait, Abu Dhabi and Muscat. No Turkish Airlines flights to Baghdad, Damascus and Tehran are available before 1 July. Finnair meanwhile confirmed it was suspending flights to Doha. The carrier is also staying out of the airspace of Iran, Iraq, Syria and Israel. US and Canadian airlines United Airlines has warned passengers that flights to and from Dubai scheduled between 18 June and 3 July may be affected and is offering no-fee ticket changes under certain conditions due to Middle East unrest. The US airline has implemented the same flexibility for Tel Aviv flights between 13 June and 1 August, allowing customers to rebook for other major European cities. Air Canada has temporarily suspended its daily non-stop service from Toronto to Dubai starting 18 June and warned the suspension could be extended. Travel via a European stopover on a partner airline remains possible, according to its website. American Airlines is allowing customers to change their bookings to Doha without fees for travel originally scheduled between 19 June and 20 July. Asian airlines Singapore Airlines has cancelled eight flights to Dubai - two per day from Sunday through Wednesday.
