Since its debut in 2019, The Mandalorian has been a cornerstone of the Star Wars universe, captivating audiences with the adventures of Din Djarin and Grogu (Baby Yoda). With three successful seasons on Disney+, fans are eager to know: Is The Mandalorian Season 4 happening? Here's everything we know so far, The Current Status of The Mandalorian Season 4
As of May 2025, the status of The Mandalorian Season 4 remains unclear, with conflicting reports creating confusion among fans. In early 2023, Jon Favreau, the show's creator, confirmed that he had written scripts for Season 4, and pre-production was reportedly underway. However, the announcement of The Mandalorian & Grogu movie, set for release on May 22, 2026, has shifted the narrative.
Multiple reports, including The Hollywood Reporter , have reported that Season 4 may not be moving forward, with the movie potentially replacing the series. Potential for Season 4: What Could Happen?
If The Mandalorian Season 4 does happen, it would likely build on the events of Season 3 and the upcoming film. Season 3 ended with Din Djarin and Grogu settling on Navarro, suggesting a new chapter for the duo. Reports indicate that Favreau's scripts for Season 4 were designed to tie into other Star Wars series like Ahsoka and Skeleton Crew , potentially exploring the growing threat of the Imperial Remnant or Thrawn's return.

Miley Cyrus addresses future acting plans as she issues 'challenge' to Hollywood directors
Miley Cyrus has "never really found the role" that would allow her to revive her acting career. The 32-year-old pop star shot to international fame when she took on the title role of Disney's musical television sitcom 'Hannah Montana' in the late 2000s, but has since been heavily focused on her music and only appeared in a handful of films. Speaking on the New York Times' 'The Interview' podcast, she said: "It's actually really interesting because I got 'Hannah Montana' because I was a singer. "I was singing in Nashville, there was a little place in our mall where you could go and make demos. We don't have a Build-A-Bear, we had Build-A-Country-Music-Star! "So I used to go to the mall, make my demos, write my songs. And they were looking for someone who could really sing, not just record kids' music but actually have music be the heart of the show. I was chosen to be an actress because I was a singer. "I got known as being an actress, but I hadn't actually acted in anything. I had been in a baked bean commercial and I had two lines in a Tim Burton one time." The 'Easy Lover' hitmaker - who starred opposite now ex-husband Liam Hemsworth in 'The Last Song' in 2010 and last held a leading role with 2012's 'So Undercover' - is still keen to return to acting at some point and has "challenged" directors an writers to come up with something that she can play. She added: "I became an actress so I could bring that part to life and then I just never really found the role for me because I'm such a character in myself that to find something that can absorb me completely is really challenging. "And I challenge every writer and director out there to bring it to me because I would love to. "I either want to be myself because I'm really good at that, or I wanna throw me away because I'm really good at that too. I'm not good in the middle."

Niecy Nash-Betts gets candid on Hollywood sex scenes at 55: ‘It's stressful'
The claws are coming out for Niecy Nash-Betts. The actress, 55, opened up about sex scenes in the entertainment industry, while talking with Helen Mirren, Kathy Bates, Parker Posey, Keri Russell and Cristin Milioti during the Hollywood Reporter's Drama Actress Roundtable. 'Well, I was never the ingénue,' Nash-Betts told the ladies about past roles. 'Then, when I turned 45, it was like, 'And now we want you to be naked.' You waited until now? I was fine to play the part, but the days that you have to film intimate scenes, it's stressful. And I think it's men who do these call sheets because they put them at night. They think it's sexy. No.' 6 Helen Mirren, Kathy Bates, Niecy Nash-Betts, Parker Posey, Keri Russell and Cristin Milioti. Beau Grealy for 'The Hollywood Reporter' When it comes to intimate scenes on camera, the 'The Rookie: Feds' actress knows exactly what time of day works. 'Let's do it first thing in the morning, when this man just got out the tub and he's not smelling like a field mouse,' Nash-Betts explained. 'You go through all the heart palpitations, the closed set. 'Was my side meat a little too jiggly? Are my kibbles and bits covered?' And then they don't use it! I put myself out there to be that vulnerable, literally exposed, and you don't use it? Now I got an attitude. Stuff it back in there somewhere!' Milioti, 39, couldn't agree more. 6 The Hollywood Reporter sit down. Beau Grealy @beaugrealy 'I can get a little myopic about it,' the 'Black Mirror' star stated. 'I get defensive of the character, and I'm like, 'Why did they cut that thing that she says that explains this, this and this?' I forget to zoom out and think about the story as a larger piece. Much later, I can get why something was cut, but in the moment.' The powerhouse group also discussed being typecasted in Hollywood, with Nash-Betts revealing she feels she's had a variety of different roles throughout her career. She noted, 'I've lived a lot of lives as an actor — doing something as loud as 'Reno 911!,' and then you slide all the way over and that pendulum hits 'Jeffrey Dahmer.' I don't know what it would say [today] because it depends on which version of me they're looking for.' 6 Niecy Nash in 'Claws.' ©TNT/Courtesy Everett Collection / Everett Collection Although she's unsure of what version of herself she's looking to pull out now, Nash-Betts did add, 'I love that I can make people laugh and cry. I do not take it lightly.' Despite having a roster of variety, the 'Claws' star recalled one moment in particular that didn't sit well with her. 'I had it right to my face,' she said. 'I auditioned for something early in my career, and the two producers looked at each other and said, 'She's got a cute face. You think she can lose weight?' And I was like, 'Guys, she can hear you. She is here. And, no, she can't. Now are y'all going to give me the job?'' 6 Niecy Nash in 'Reno 911!' ©Comedy Central/Courtesy Everett Collect / Everett Collection Nash-Betts got the part, but as she remembered, 'I don't even know if I was the best one, but they probably felt so embarrassed.' After Mirren, 79, asked if she lost weight for the role, the 'American Horror Story' vet responded, 'No. I went home and ate a cookie.' Elsewhere in the sit-down, the 'Reno 911!' alum also got candid on her current romance. Nash-Betts was previously married to Don Nash from 1994 to 2007, before remarrying in 2011 to Jay Tucker. 6 Niecy Nash at the Disney 2025 Upfront. The pair split in 2020, and she went on to tie the knot with Jessica Betts that same year. Now, Nash-Betts is happier than ever – despite being told the union could derail her career opportunities. 'Everybody has an opinion! There were people who were like, 'Your fan base has known you to be a certain way, and you need to stay right there. Otherwise, you'll never eat lunch in this town again,'' she admitted. 'Some of that comes from older generations, family members, and that's how they think. But I've always been a person who does one thing: what I want to do.' 6 Niecy Nash hosting 'Clean House.' Style Network/Courtesy Everett Collectio / Everett Collection Looking back, Nash-Betts knows she made the right choice, sharing how the singer, 42, has been a constant support system for her over the past five years. 'And I'm going to do it all the way. I give very little thought, if any, to what somebody else thinks about it. I cannot even imagine my life without Jessica,' she expressed. 'This is the greatest love of my entire life. I would not even be able to enjoy my work as much as I do without that kind of support. So I did what I wanted to do. I don't regret it. I would do it again. As a matter of fact, we are about to celebrate five years.' Now, the wives are ready to celebrate their love story once more in honor of the five year mark. 'We're about to do another vow renewal,' Nash-Bettes told the table, 'a big party, just so I can say 'In your face' to whoever told me not to get married.'

Will There Be a Season 2 of ‘The Better Sister?'
All eight episodes of the limited series The Better Sister arrived on Prime Video on May 29 and it already has a lot of fans. It's no wonder, given the show stars TV and film veterans Jessica Biel and Elizabeth Banks as sisters Chloe and Nicky, two women embroiled in an enthralling murder scheme that makes up the first season's main story. Will we be getting more of this relentless duo? Here's what is known about season 2 of The Better Sister so far. Warning: spoilers for season 1 ahead. Since the first season was only released a few days ago, there's not yet any news on a second season. It was also billed as a 'limited series' and based on a book by Alafair Burke. There's only one story in the novel and it is told. But that hasn't stopped shows from coming back before. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter on May 31, showrunners Olivia Milch and Regina Corrado were asked what they 'envision' for a continuing story, but gave no hints if there would be definitively be one. They did agree that whatever the plot, the heart of the story is who is the 'better sister' as dictated by circumstances. 'It depends on any given moment,' said Milch. 'That was, for us, what we were always interested in exploring. That's also true in your relationships, it depends on the day, and we all fuck up, and we all hurt each other, and then we're all the person who needs something, and we're the person who shows up. That was a real guiding light for us in telling the story: All of us are trying to sort of be better than our worst selves, and we don't always succeed. These two sisters think things about each other. The world thinks things about them. And, at different moments, one of them is trying to do the right thing, and one of them has made a mistake, and yet they sort of keep finding each other.' The mystery of season 1 was who killed Adam Macintosh, played by Corey Stoll, Nicky's ex. The eight episodes went back-and-forth on how the two sisters were involved, but ultimately Nicky was the hand that stabbed Adam following an argument about his abusive manipulation. But Chloe is culpable in the murder, covering up the crime and framing Adam's boss, Bill Braddock, portrayed by Matthew Modine. Since Bill has a sordid network of human traffickers at his beck-and-call, it's not a huge leap for him to be arrested by the FBI. At the end of the show, another character is found dead. When asked by THR if there's 'another mystery to solve' presented by that moment, Milch replied, 'I think we very much wanted to deliver a very satisfactory ending for the first season and have it feel like you know what happened, like the mystery is solved. But I think that obviously the truth, particularly around these ladies in this family, is things happen. So there certainly is no definitive answer to that. For now.' Biel and Banks would have to return as the sisters, of course. Stoll's character is dead, but a flashback is always possible, as well as more of Modine's experience post-arrest. Other characters that could potentially return include Maxwell Acee Donovan as Ethan, Nicky and Adam's son, Kim Dickens as Detective Nan Guidry, Gloria Reuben as Michelle Sander, Gabriel Sloyer as Jake Rodriguez, and Bobby Naderi as Detective Matt Bowen. This story will be updated.
