Pizza Pizza Announces New Partnership as the Official Pizza of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers
TORONTO, May 26, 2025 /CNW/ - Pizza Pizza is deepening their commitment to supporting Manitoba sports with a new multi-year partnership with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. As the Official Pizza of the Blue Bombers, Pizza Pizza will be serving its signature slices at concessions throughout Princess Auto Stadium, giving fans even more to cheer about throughout the season. The partnership also brings Pizza Pizza's 'Score a Slice' promotion to Winnipeg, where fans in attendance can earn a free slice every time Bombers score the first touchdown of the game.
"Winnipeg is a key growth market for Pizza Pizza," said Adrian Fuoco, Chief Marketing Officer at Pizza Pizza. "As a proudly Canadian brand, we're excited to further our support of Canadian Football and a marquee franchise like the Blue Bombers and their passionate fan base."
This partnership builds on Pizza Pizza's strong presence in the province, including its role as a proud partner of the Winnipeg Jets, and further cements the brand's commitment to connecting with Manitoba sports fans.

Ottawa [Canada], June 7 (ANI): Former Member of Parliament of Canada, Chandra Arya, has said it would be his pleasure to welcome Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Canada for the G7 meeting from June 15 to 17, noting that India is an 'indispensable partner' and underlining the need for a deeper, structured bilateral relationship based on shared values like 'democracy', 'pluralism', and a 'rules-based international order'. In a post on X, Arya said, 'It would be my pleasure to welcome PM Narendra Modi to Canada for the G7 meeting during June 15-17. When I met PM Narendra Modi last July, I emphasised that Canada and India are united by shared values, democracy, pluralism, and a rules-based international order. India, an increasingly influential global actor with growing strategic, economic, and demographic weight, is an indispensable partner for Canada, both in the Indo-Pacific region and globally. It is in Canada's national economic, strategic, and geopolitical interest to forge a deeper, more structured relationship with India, one that spans trade, investment, policy, and civil society.' Earlier in the day, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney said that G7 countries will hold discussions on important issues, including security and energy, in their upcoming summit, adding that India's presence at the intergovernmental political and economic forum is essential. The effort seems a bid to thaw the frozen ties between the nations. Carney said that India, being the fifth largest economy and the most populous country in the world, must be at the seat. 'Let's put the two aspects in context- first is, we are in the role- Canada's in the role of the G7 chair and in those discussions as agreed with our G7 colleagues, include important discussions on energy, security, on digital future, critical minerals amongst others and partnerships actually in building infrastructure in the emerging and developing world,' he said. Carney said that India is central to a number of supply chains, which makes its presence pertinent at the G7 chair consultation. As the Edmonton Oilers work to find a way to be fully themselves as a hockey team, Canada is working to find a way to fully be itself as a country. Article content I know hockey's just a game, but as one that was born in a land of ice, snow, and backyard rinks, it is also part of our national identity. And if you look closely, I think it has a few lessons for the geo-political game we're now playing. Article content Article content When you watch the Oilers this year, you'll notice a difference. Depth scoring is up, everyone is elevating their game, and each player seems crucial to the team. To win a Stanley Cup you can't rely on just one or two stars, on offence over defence, or on free-wheeling play over structure. As I've watched the Oilers mature, I've noticed the same thing happening in our country — with provinces now choosing to play together and make room for each other's unique contributions. We can lean on each other and spur each other on.
