Sean 'Diddy' Combs caught 'nodding vigorously' at jury during trial; Judge Arun Subramanian threatens to kick him of courtroom
Sean 'Diddy' Combs is currently undergoing a federal trial, facing serious charges of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking, and transportation to engage in prostitution. Amid this, a dramatic moment unfolded in a federal courtroom on Thursday, when the US District Judge Arun Subramanian threatened to remove the rapper over his inappropriate behaviour directed at juniors.
The music mogul was scolded by the presiding judge, Arun Subramanian, for making certain facial gestures while looking at the jury and attempting to make eye contact.
Moreover, the judge made it clear that such actions are 'absolutely unacceptable' and warned that if Diddy doesn't stop this, he could be kicked out of the courtroom entirely. This led to an apology from Diddy's legal team.

Sean 'Diddy' Combs made vigorous facial gestures at the jury
The incident surfaced in the news a day after a woman, who is reportedly a Diddy supporter, was removed from the courtroom for yelling obscenities at the jury, accusing them of targeting Black legacy.
According to Variety, during a lunch break, the Bad Boy Records producer was seen nodding enthusiastically at the juniors as a witness gave their testimony. Following this, Judge Subramanian scolded attorney Marc Agnifilo, saying that he was very clear that there should be no facial expressions to the jury. "I could not have been clearer," he added.
He said, "There was a line of questioning where your client was nodding vigorously and looking at the jury." According to the rules, there should never be any attempts to interact with the jury by any means.
In response to the judge's question about whether this behaviour will be repeated, the rapper's legal team said, "No, your honour, it's not going to happen again."
Judge Arun Subramanian warned Sean 'Diddy' Combs of exclusion from the courtroom
Arun Subramanian went on to warn the 55-year-old rapper that he will give an instruction to the jury, or it could result in the exclusion of their client from the courtroom, and if he doesn't comply with the rules, he will be excluded from the courtroom.
Moreover, as per the report, Diddy mostly remained composed and calm during the trial, even during the testimony of his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura. According to journalists, he maintained a grim expression while attempting to glance in her direction.
However, during some testimonies, he looked directly at the jurors and even made gestures to the public and his family sitting behind him, especially during the testimony of his former assistant, George Kaplan.

Sean 'Diddy' Combs' ex-girlfriend testifies he rebuffed pleas that escorts wear condoms
Sean "Diddy" Combs twice rebuffed a former girlfriend's requests that male entertainers wear condoms when having sex with her as Combs watched, the woman said on Friday during often tearful testimony at the hip-hop mogul's sex trafficking trial. The woman, testifying under the pseudonym Jane to protect her privacy, said Combs would "guilt trip" her when she asked that the entertainers wear condoms during their frequent, lengthy sexual encounters. The sexual interactions resembled what another one of Combs' exes, Casandra Ventura, referred to as "Freak Offs" during her testimony last month. Jurors in the Manhattan federal court trial heard an audio recording in which Combs intervened after Jane asked a male entertainer named Don if he had a condom. As the recording was played, Combs rapidly tapped his fingers against his leg while seated at the defense table. Also Read | Inside Diddy's Secret World, as Described by His Former Assistants "Why didn't you just insist that Don wear a condom?" prosecutor Maurene Comey asked. "Because I just didn't want to disappoint my lover," Jane responded, referring to Combs. Jane said she and Combs dated from 2021 through 2024. Combs, 55, has pleaded not guilty to five felony counts including racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking. Prosecutors say he coerced women over two decades to take part in elaborate, drug-fueled sexual performances during Freak Offs over two decades. The Bad Boy Records founder's defense lawyers have acknowledged that Combs was occasionally abusive in domestic relationships, but say the women who took part in Freak Offs did so consensually. During the first day of her testimony on Thursday, Jane said she was "head over heels" for Combs and wanted to have a one-on-one relationship with him, but that starting five months into their relationship most of their time together involved sexual interactions with male escorts in hotels. Also Read | Woman who filed lawsuit against Sean 'Diddy' Combs added to sexual assault complaint against Harvey Weinstein Jane said that when she told Combs she wanted those encounters to stop, he threatened to stop paying her rent. On Friday, Jane frequently sobbed and dabbed her eyes with a tissue as she told jurors how Combs would encourage her to keep going even after she grew tired during the encounters, which she said often lasted 24 hours or more. She recounted one instance in which she broke down crying after Combs said he had to leave following an encounter with an entertainer, despite having promised Jane a one-on-one date night and that the entertainer would be there for "just a little bit." "I hung onto those words, just a little bit," Jane said. "I was feeling terrible that he was going to leave me alone." Combs' defense lawyers are expected to cross-examine Jane next week. They may focus on sexually explicit text messages that she sent Combs in between their encounters to show she was a willing participant in their relationship. Combs has been in federal lockup in Brooklyn since his September 2024 arrest. He could face life in prison if convicted on all counts.

Popular sketch artist Jane Rosenberg was 'accused' of drawing koala bears, dogs in courtroom
In a courtroom where words weigh heavily and justice hangs in the balance, artist Jane Rosenberg's pencil has found a different kind of spotlight—one that's often unintentionally funny, sometimes tender, and always human. While the trials she covers deal with serious allegations—from civil fraud to sex trafficking—it's her courtroom sketches that sometimes lighten the mood, drawing comparisons not just to people, but to pets, cartoon animals, and, yes, even koalas. This week, that lighter moment came during a break in the federal sex trafficking trial of hip-hop mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs. According to a report from Reuters, Combs turned to Rosenberg, seated in the front row, and made a polite but pointed request: "Soften me up a bit, you're making me look like a koala bear." Combs, 55, who has pleaded not guilty to five criminal counts including racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking, appeared in court wearing sweaters, his hair graying, and his goatee giving him a softer look—one that, at least in his view, had crossed into marsupial territory under Rosenberg's pencil. In Sean "Diddy" Combs's federal trial, cameras are not allowed because it's a federal court case, and Federal Rule of Criminal Procedure 53 prohibits electronic media coverage. To provide the public with a visual representation of the proceedings, Reuters and other news outlets are using courtroom sketch artists like Rosenberg to illustrate the events. Source: X But Sean Combs is far from the first to joke about her portrayals. Earlier this year, Rudy Giuliani, the former New York City mayor, had his own reaction after seeing Rosenberg's depiction of him during a civil case tied to his false claims about the 2020 election. "You made me look like my dog," Giuliani reportedly told her. He didn't specify which dog, but the comparison was memorable enough to go viral. Then there was Donald Trump Jr. in 2023. During a civil fraud trial involving the Trump family real estate empire, he too offered some unsolicited feedback. According to Rosenberg, he told her, "Make me look sexy." It's moments like these that show how courtroom art—intended to be neutral and documentary in nature—can stir up vanity, humor, and even affection. While Rosenberg maintains a professional tone and consistent artistic style, the reactions of her subjects often turn her drawings into unintentional conversation pieces. Art in the midst of seriousness These human touches don't take away from the gravity of the cases. Sean Combs, for instance, faces the possibility of life in prison if convicted. Still, throughout the proceedings, he has occasionally lightened the mood with hand gestures—forming a heart with his hands toward family seated in the gallery. That said, levity can sometimes push boundaries. On Thursday, U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanian rebuked Combs for nodding at the jury during his lawyer's cross-examination. The judge called it "unacceptable" and warned he would remove Combs from the courtroom if it happened again.
