War 2 is one of the most anticipated films of this year that brings together the dream team of Hrithik Roshan and Junior NTR. This is arguably the biggest casting coup YRF has pulled off since Silsila and Thugs of Hindostan. But unlike part one that was directed by Siddharth Anand, the sequel is helmed by Ayan Mukerji. The scale of his films continue to grow by leaps and bounds as his filmography suggests.

The YRF Spy Universe is the biggest IP of Indian cinema today, having only delivered blockbusters with all its titles like Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai, War, Pathaan and Tiger 3. War 2 is the sixth YRF Spy Universe film to release.

Will War 2 be a bigger hit than Pathaan, Chhaava, and Stree 2? And of course, will it be able to go past Pushpa 2 which made Rs 800 crore only in Hindi?

Akshay Kumar's Housefull 5 Beats Sky Force at the Box Office

In an interesting box office moment, Akshay Kumar's new film Housefull 5 has beaten another one of his own movies, Sky Force, to become the third highest-earning Hindi film of 2025 so far. Housefull 5, the latest part of the popular comedy series, has earned ₹119.75 crore in just six days since its release. This total has now passed the ₹112.75 crore made by Sky Force, which had finished its full run. Earlier this year, Sky Force, a patriotic action film, had a decent start and stayed in cinemas for about four weeks. In its first week, it earned ₹86.5 crore, but its numbers started dropping after that. By the end of four weeks, it had made ₹112.75 crore in total. In contrast, Housefull 5 opened with great energy. Directed by Tarun Mansukhani and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, the film made ₹24 crore on its first day (Friday). Over the weekend, the numbers grew, reaching ₹32.5 crore on Sunday. As expected, collections fell a bit after the weekend. On Monday, it made ₹13 crore, followed by ₹11.25 crore on Tuesday, and around ₹8 crore on Wednesday, based on early estimates from Sacnilk. This brought the total to ₹119.75 crore in six days. With this, Housefull 5 is now only behind two other films this year — Raid 2 starring Ajay Devgn, which has earned ₹171 crore, and Chhaava featuring Vicky Kaushal, which leads the chart with ₹585.7 crore. This achievement is even more special because Akshay Kumar has now delivered three hits in a tough year for Bollywood. While many big films have failed, Akshay has succeeded in both patriotic drama and comedy. Experts say Housefull 5 could still have a strong second weekend. If the current pace continues, the film might cross the ₹150 crore mark. However, catching up to Raid 2 will be difficult. For now, the Housefull 5 team is celebrating, and so is Akshay Kumar — once again proving that when it comes to the box office, his only competition might be himself. The film stars a large cast, including Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek A. Bachchan, Fardeen Khan, Sonam Bajwa, Nargis Fakhri, Jacqueline Fernandez, Chunky Pandey, Dino Morea, and Johnny Lever.

Kohli Warned This 'X' Account To Stop Abusing Him, 14 Years Later This Happened

Last Updated: Virat Kohli, in a 2011 'X' post, had warned a user named Ishaan to stop using abusive language to the cricketer. Indian cricketer Virat Kohli knows how to give back to trolls – on the field or off it. Kohli's aggressive approach has helped him keep the troublemakers at bay but even the most celebrated cricketer in India couldn't do much except to issue a warning directly to an 'X' (formerly known as Twitter) user, asking the account to stop using foul language and abusing him. This was back in 2011. 'your account has been reported and will be deactivated soon. dont tweet if u wana use foul language (sic)," Kohli, tagging the X user, wrote. The account, which went by the username of Ishaan, routinely returned with jibes at Kohli by making appearances under Kohli's original post. @ishaan3 your account has been reported and will be deactivated soon. dont tweet if u wana use foul language.— Virat Kohli (@imVkohli) December 6, 2011 Er. Ishaan A year after Kohli issued the warning, Ishaan returned to the post in 2012 asking the cricketer how he was doing. Not the one to let it go, Ishaan, returning to the thread in 2016, informed Kohli that his account was intact even after five years since the incident. A year later, in 2017, laughing at the absurdity of it all, Ishaan made yet another comeback letting the Indian batter know that he was still around and thriving. After a hiatus of four years, the purported abusive account returned to 'X' to mark the 10th anniversary of Kohli's OG warning post. 'It has been 11 years even today I am active," he wrote in a post the following year. Ishaan Suspended In a surprising turn of events, the account has been suspended on the Elon Musk-owned social media platform. (X/Screengrab) Upon clicking on Ishaan's handle, X informs users that the account has been suspended for violating the guidelines of the platform. End Of An Era X users got the whiff of Ishaan's departure and they heaved a sigh of relief that the one-sided beef had finally concluded. Finally suspended 😭🤣 — Wellu (@Wellutwt) June 11, 2025 X's longest rivalry had finally ended, many remarked. 'ishaan survived for 14 years but Kohli has the last laugh. A long twitter rivalry ended, (sic)" a user, responding to the suspension message on Ishaan's now-defunct X account wrote. Meanwhile, Kohli found several mentions on Wednesday after the World Test Championship final commenced between South Africa and Australia. Lord's Cricket Ground, the chosen venue for the big event, saw packed stands and fans from various cricketing nations cheering on as Day 1 of the much-awaited Test turned out to be an eventual one. Trolls mocked Kohli's fans who had wondered if the cricket and Test-loving community would take the same amount of interest in the red-ball game as they did when Kohli played in all whites for India. Kohli bid farewell to the Tests on May 12, 2025. He featured in 123 Test matches and scored 9,230 runs that comprised 30 centuries and 31 half-centuries. He had a batting average of 46.9. Olympe Ramakrishna's silk portraits narrate the evolving stories of urban middle class women

'I've displayed these portraits under high ceilings too, but I think this is the lowest one,' says Franco-Indian visual artist Olympe Ramakrishna, referring to the low ceiling at Alliance Française of Hyderabad. Her installation, Women of Urban India, currently showing at the French institute, features 12 oil portraits on silk, suspended from the ceiling like sarees drying on rooftop terraces. Stories of contemporary women The series portrays women we encounter every day — in neighbourhoods, offices, on travels, and among friends. Each image captures the essence of India's urban middle-class women: resilient, constantly adapting, and balancing the delicate tug between tradition and modernity. As a researcher studying femininity and women's identity, Olympe first arrived in Bengaluru in 2010 from Normandie in France , where she was struck by a new generation of urban middle-class women. The changes she observed, she notes, went far beyond clothing choices. From crafting their own life paths to balancing multiple roles, these women navigate two worlds — one shaped by global influences, the other rooted in tradition. Pointing to one of the portraits, she reflects on the generational shift: the difference between this woman, her mother, and her grandmother is vast, something she says is far less pronounced in Europe, where three generations of women in her own family have led largely similar lives. Saris and silk The artist first painted the women — some neighbours, friends, and two of her husband's cousins — on canvas. She then photographed the works, printed them onto Dupion silk, and suspended the portraits from the ceiling, mimicking the gentle sway of saris drying on rooftops. The idea was inspired by evenings spent watching families gather on Bengaluru's terraces —children playing, grandparents chatting, and birds returning to the park, as freshly dried clothes were collected. Having grown up around silk — ironing wedding dresses for her designer father, John Francois — the fabric felt like a natural medium for Olympe's installation. The project, which began two years ago, debuted in Bengaluru in November 2023, and has since travelled to Puducherry, Delhi, Chandigarh, and Paris. Next, she plans to explore the women of Kerala and Tamil Nadu through a large woven tapestry. Women of Urban India by Olympe Ramakrishna on display at Alliance Francaise Hyderabad till June 15
