OKC Thunder lands two on All-NBA teams with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Jalen Williams

The Thunder's award tour continues.
This week Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was named NBA MVP, while Lu Dort and Jalen Williams were selected to the NBA's All-Defensive teams. On Friday, SGA and Williams were selected to the All-NBA teams.

Gilgeous-Alexander's All-NBA first-team selection — his third in as many years — ties him with NBA legends like Allen Iverson, Kawhi Leonard and Steve Nash, while surpassing others like John Stockton, Dwyane Wade and former Thunder Russell Westbrook.
Williams' All-NBA third-team selection marks the first of his career, just months removed from his premier All-Star bid.
They're the third pair of Thunder players to earn an All-NBA selection in the same season.
SGA led the league by averaging 32.7 points this season, a career high, along with 5 rebounds and 6.4 assists.
Williams averaged career highs in points, rebounds and assists: 21.6 points, 5.3 points, 5.1 assists.

The All-NBA teams are voted on by a panel of 100 media members before the playoffs begin. Players must have played in 65 regular-season games to be eligible. The teams are not selected by position.

One 2027 recruit dropped a 'cannonball' counter at USC. Advertisement The Trojans took a dig at their Big Ten rival with a clip from 'Anchorman' in helping announce the Mark Bowman commitment. But Oregon's newest verbal commit countered and took his swipe at USC. Edge rusher Prince Tavizon revealed his commitment to the Ducks Sunday evening. But he told Hayes Fawcett of On3 this reaction after Tavizon turned down USC. 'Cannonballlll,' the San Diego native Tavizon said to the recruiting insider. The 'cannonball' reference started via Dan Lanning. Oregon landed five-star edge rusher for 2026 Richard Wesley on May 10. Lanning proceeded to jump into a pool with Wesley to celebrate the Ducks commitment. However, the Sierra Canyon of Chatsworth star Wesley decommitted 17 days later and is back on the open recruiting market. Both battled for Pac-12 supremacy before moving out of the conference for the 2024 season. Advertisement Now their bitterness has spilled over to the college football recruiting trail. USC has put together the nation's top-ranked recruiting class for 2026. But that was a title Oregon held at the start of the year. The Trojans and head coach Lincoln Riley began to siphon away Oregon commits. USC poached four-star quarterback Jonas Williams from the Ducks in February. But the Trojans weren't through raiding the Ducks' '26 class. Prized offensive lineman Tomuhini Topui flipped to USC after originally choosing the Big Ten champs. Topui revealed his change of heart on April 1. The Bowman commitment further increases USC's lead in the national recruiting rankings. Oregon has fallen to 27th nationally with just seven verbal pledges for '26. Oregon, however, just dove into the '27 cycle to grab the Lincoln High star Tavizon. The edge defender reeled in 21 scholarship offers ahead of his junior season before dropping his 'cannonball.'

The No. 1 TE Mark Bowman officially committed, per Hayes Fawcett of On3Sports. The top pick in the class of 2026 chose USC over Georgia, Ole Miss, and Texas. Bowman hails out of Mater Del High School in Santa Ana, California. The 6-foot-4 225-pound TE was part of a dominant team that went 13-0 last season and won the Open Division State Championship. He caught 32 passes for 435 yards and eight touchdowns on the year. Bowman was highly recruited by other elite college football programs and made visits to each. The Trojans emphasize the offensive and defensive lines as their primary areas of growth. On the offensive side, USC scored big with the recruiting of four-star WR Luc Weaver, triumphing over Minnesota, UCLA, and Washington. USC coach Lincoln Riley has prioritized utilizing the transfer portal to enhance the line of scrimmage. Advertisement Last season, USC finished with a 7-6 record. It was a season marked by struggles, primarily due to a lack of offensive prowess. In truth, Bowman fulfills Riley's offensive vision. Mark Bowman is a USC-type player. USC football is historically known for having a high-power offense. They produced a pipeline of offensive greatness from quarterbacks to wide receivers. Bowman fits right in because of his ability to route, run, and spread the field. He is also a dynamic athlete. His size and strength fit in line with what is typically expected of most tight ends. He tried to claim one more win over USC. By sending one last fiery message to Trojan fans and their team. 'My advice to SC fans: humble yourselves, get quiet and win more than seven games,' Barner said. 'SC keep fighting on, baby. You all been fighting for a long time.' Both teams will more than likely attract a national audience come Nov. 22 in Eugene. USC travels to Oregon for a crucial conference showdown.
