SHELBOURNE will play Shamrock Rovers at Tolka Park next month as normal.
It was reported last week that Shels were considering switching the 'Ringsend Derby' on Friday June 13 to the
Aviva
Stadium, a week after

there in a friendly.

But Shels yesterday put

And a spokesperson confirmed that it would take place in Drumcondra.
It is understood that the club did weigh up the possibility of a switch but quickly concluded that it was not a runner.

With a full round of games three days later, switching it to another day would have been problematic too.

In advance of the game there on the opening weekend of the season, League of Ireland Director Mark Scanlon has said Bohs could use the venue more regularly during the rebuild of Dalymount Park.
Bohs expect to be out of their Phibsborough home for two seasons although the chances of them needing to relocate

Former Cork and Bohs star wants English club move after rejecting SPL stay

Dan Casey is looking to pursue a move to an English club after rejecting an offer to stay at Motherwell. Former Cork City and Bohs defender Casey, 27, was with the Steelmen since February 2023 and played 85 times for the club since initially moving on a short-term deal. However the club has confirmed that Casey has decided to move on, having turned down a new deal with the SPL outfit. His loss is a blow as Casey played 41 times last term - more than any other player at the club - and with the club currently looking for a new manager, following Michael Wimmer's departure last month. 'My time with Motherwell has come to an end," said Casey. "I've loved every minute of being here. 'Some of my favourite football memories were made here and I'll always be grateful for that. "A huge thank you to all the Motherwell staff, my teammates and especially the fans for everything.'
