Love without limits or labels
In ancient Greek, an 'apology' was understood as a defense of ideas, not an expression of regret. It was only later that the usage of the word changed, evolving alongside shifts in social realities and interpersonal morality. In that sense, Arundhati Ghosh's book All Our Love: Journeys with Polyamory in India can be seen as a kind of apology, a defense of polyamory, a relationship form often viewed as morally obtuse.
For the first time, someone attempts to present a nuanced case for polyamory in the Indian context. Ghosh points out that with the advent of private property and concerns around inheritance, monogamy emerged as a social agreement. She writes, '...in the contemporary world of relationships, we have conflated love with marriage or partnerships, and the normative conditions of monoamory and monogamy—loving one person at a time—strengthen each other's existence and justification.'
Ghosh further argues that polyamory is 'natural for humans.' To support this, she cites several examples of communities that practice polyamory in some form, including the Barí of Venezuela, the Irigwe of Nigeria, the Marquesans of the Pacific, and the Nyinba of Nepal, among others.

Wan Hai 503 accident: Containers from ship could land on Kerala coast
Kochi: Even as the Singapore-flagged container vessel MV Wan Hai 503 is being towed away into the deep sea off the Indian coast, containers that fell from the ship are likely to land in the southern part of Ernakulam district and on the coasts of Alappuzha and Kollam districts from Monday to Wednesday. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now Kerala State Disaster Management Authority (KSDMA) has warned the public not to touch any object suspected to have fallen from the ship if they see it on the shore or coastal waters. It said that people should keep a distance of at least 200 metres and, when they see such objects, call 112 and inform the location of the object. A GIS-based web app has been developed for gathering information about wreck debris found on the coast. The app, developed with the support of ESRI India Ltd, can be downloaded by any user who finds suspicious debris likely from the ship. Details can be filled in English and Malayalam, and there is a provision to fill in the location so that officials can retrieve it safely. According to officials of the coast guard and Indian Navy, the ship was currently towed 57 nautical miles off the Kerala coast. Work is underway to shift it further. There is still fire and smoke on the ship. A tug vessel, Offshore Warrior, is pulling the ship while the coast guard ship Saksham is fuelling the tug so that it continues to operate without disruption.

'Same As...': What UK Expert Said After Inspecting Air India Crash Site
Last Updated: The comment came as teams from the United Kingdom and the United States joined Indian authorities in investigating the crash of Air India A UK aviation expert visiting the Air India crash site in Ahmedabad on Sunday said there were no hidden surprises at the scene, noting, 'We saw what you guys saw. It's just the same as you can see from here." The comment came as teams from the United Kingdom and the United States joined Indian authorities in investigating the crash of Air India flight 171, a London-bound Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, which went down shortly after take-off from Ahmedabad airport on Thursday. Of the 242 people on board, only one survived. A formal investigation into the plane crash, which also claimed the lives of over 50 UK nationals, has been launched. Given the presence of British citizens on board, the UK's Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) is officially assisting the probe and has been granted 'expert status" under international aviation protocols. The US National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) is also involved, as the aircraft was American-made. Earlier today, the crash site was inspected by UK experts and senior Air India officials. The aircraft crashed just beyond the airport perimeter, hitting a building near the BJ Medical College campus and causing a large explosion and fire. Separately, the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) is examining the technical causes behind the crash. Civil Aviation Minister K. Rammohan Naidu clarified on Saturday that while the AAIB would handle the technical side of the inquiry, the high-level committee would take a broader view to improve safety regulations. The aircraft's black box was recovered from the crash site on Friday evening and is expected to provide crucial data to aid the investigation.
