Born in Vancouver, Kane grew up watching the Canucks and previously played junior hockey for the Vancouver Giants, winning the Memorial Cup in 2007. Now, after suiting up for five different NHL teams and recording 617 points (326 goals, 291 assists) across 930 regular-season games, he returns to the city where it all began.
'The fan base here is fantastic. They're passionate, they love their hockey… I know what hockey means in this city,' Kane said. 'I'm really privileged and honored to be part of that.' With the Canucks, he hopes to silence his critics and reset his narrative as both a player and a father.
