Summary
Roger Dubuisreunites with renowned tattoo artistDr. Woofor the third chapter in their collaborative watchmaking journey: the Excalibur Monotourbillon Dr. Woo Episode III. Celebrating a shared commitment to individuality and artistic exploration, the timepiece merges the high complications of Swiss horology with Dr. Woo's signature single-needle tattoo style.
The watch's concept orbits a 'galactic peace mission,' drawing imaginative cues from space and time. Central to this narrative is the 'Tourbillon Galaxy,' inspired by Messier 51a, also known as the Whirlpool Galaxy, located 31 million light years away. Its graceful, spiral motion mirrors the mechanics of the tourbillon complication and Roger Dubuis' iconic astral form. Embellishing the design, Dr. Woo's recurring rocket motif appears on the sapphire crystal with the message 'We Come in Peace,' alongside a laser-engraved spider at 10 o'clock and three ethereal nebulas crafted in pink gold at 9 o'clock.
Constructed in titanium and 18k pink gold, the 42mm case and bracelet reflect a refined yet futuristic aesthetic. Between 10 and 11 o'clock, a spiral-shaped component evokes the entrance to a black hole, symbolizing passage through the 'corridors of time.' This motif reemerges on the caseback as a striking checkerboard spiral on sapphire crystal, serving as a visual interpretation of spatial distortion and cosmic depth. This is accompanied by a message etched on the back, inviting distant lifeforms into a dialogue of discovery.
Powering the watch is the Manufacture's caliber RD515, which has been specially reconfigured for this release. Its tourbillon cage features a reduced three-arm upper bridge to showcase a galactic spiral detail in polished stainless steel. The RD515 offers a solid 72-hour power reserve and proudly bears the Poinçon de Genève hallmark, with all 193 components meticulously hand-finished.
Limited to just 28 pieces, the Excalibur Monotourbillon Dr. Woo Episode III will be available as a boutique exclusive viaRoger Dubuis.

Tattoo artist roasted for ‘demon-like' image of client's baby: ‘I'm sorry you lost your dog bro'

Terrible tattoos are timeless, but as of late, it seems like more and more inked-up individuals are taking to the Internet to share their strange, questionable and sometimes even trashy tattoos. Between Gen-Z's recent revival of the tramp stamp and a Swiss woman's viral $600 Red Bull barcode tattoo, social media users seem to agree that they could go a while without seeing another mega-viral miss in the tattoo department. Unfortunately for the aforementioned members of the public, Cairo-based tattoo artist Thomas Tattoos proved to be the latest object of ink-based ridicule after he posted a video to his Instagram account, @ink_by_thomas, presenting his latest piece. The piece was presumably intended to be a portrait of the client's daughter, but commenters saw more resemblance between the final product and Gollum from 'The Lord of the Rings' — a demon and the fictitious ogre, Shrek, were also popular comparisons. Evidently, the visually offensive tattoo struck a nerve with social media users who stumbled across the video, which now has over 31 million views and thousands of comments — and shockingly, they're practically all negative. 'What days are you closed?' asked one commenter, while another like-minded inquired: 'Ayoo, do you accept walkouts?' 'Your wife must have a tattoo removal business…. I see what you're doing now,' replied a commenter under another video on the artist's page. Some users speculated that maybe, just maybe, the tattoo wasn't that bad, and the baby just happened to be… unpleasant looking. 'Prayers for the baby if it looks like that,' offered one sympathetic scroller. 'Well, it's not nice to say… But not all kids are pretty and cute,' said another. Meanwhile, another slightly more suspicious individual said, 'I gotta see the reference picture.' Ask and you shall receive, apparently. Shortly after comments like this rolled in, Thomas Tattoos shared a post of the original stencil design side-by-side with the finished piece. 'I don't have an appointment, but I would like to cancel anyway,' replied one aggrieved commenter after seeing the stencil. Instagram / @ink_by_thomas Unfortunately for Thomas Tattoos, commenters found the tattoo even more outrageous after seeing the original portrait of the baby, Tallin. 'Bro doesn't have customers, he has victims,' joked one reply. 'You sell vouchers?' asked one malicious user, 'My ex is gonna get one for a big piece.' As many commenters noted, typically, tattooists specialize in one or at most, a few art styles. Judging from other content on the artist's page, he does everything from traditional to fine line to portraits to geometric cyber sigilism tattoos. Despite the firestorm of fury on behalf of the customer that followed the viral video, Thomas Tattoos doesn't seem to have taken the commenters' negativity to heart. The ink master is still keeping followers and haters alike up to date on all of his latest work on his Instagram account, and shows no signs of slowing down — he's even done another baby portrait!

Brenus Pharma and InSphero Have Developed 3D Tumor Spheroids Mimicking

LISBON, Portugal--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Brenus Pharma, a French biotech developing next-generation first-in-class immunotherapies, and InSphero, a Swiss leader in 3D cell-based assay technologies, presented promising data at the European Association for Cancer Research 2025 annual congress. These data confirm the use of 3D tumor spheroids for potency testing of STC-1010, Brenus' lead candidate for colorectal cancer. 'This collaboration has enabled us to assess the highly representative and scalable 3D model into our SGC platform. It's a major step forward in our ability to assess potency and accelerate the development of STC-1010 and future candidates.' Benoit Pinteur Share Funded through the EUROSTARS program, the collaboration led to vitrified 3D colorectal cancer spheroids using tumor cell lines co-cultured with fibroblasts. The vitrification method preserves morphology, stromal integrity, and viability after thawing, enabling realistic evaluation of STC-1010's therapeutic potential under conditions mimicking in vivo human tumors. Previous studies showed that STC-1010 antigens were effectively processed by monocyte-derived dendritic cells (mMo-DCs), activating CD8+ T cells. These T cells induced apoptosis in both 2D and 3D colorectal cancer models and released anti-tumor cytokines (IFNγ and Granzyme B). These data reinforce the therapeutic potential of STC-1010. ' This collaboration has enabled us to assess the highly representative and scalable 3D model into our SGC platform. It's a major step forward in our ability to assess potency and accelerate the development of STC-1010 and future candidates.' Benoit Pinteur, CSO of Brenus Pharma. ' We are proud to support Brenus with our cryopreserved 3D tumor models. This work illustrates how advanced in vitro systems can bring immunotherapies closer to clinical reality.' Jan Lichtenberg, CEO of InSphero. About Brenus Pharma Brenus Pharma unlocks the potential of immuno-oncology by generating first-in-class immunotherapies that initiate a multi-specific in vivo immune response against tumors. Their proprietary 'off-the-shelf' Stimulated-tumor-Ghost-Cells (SGC) platform mimics patients' tumor cells and makes them visible to the immune system to anticipate, target, and destroy these cells as they appear. Brenus aims to shift the oncology paradigm by making patients active participants in their treatment.

Hermanos Gutiérrez will make national television debut on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!'

Hermanos Gutiérrez are heading to late night. Known for their dreamy, guitar-heavy instrumental tracks that fuse Latin music with Western sounds, the Ecuadorian-Swiss duo will take a break from their current European tour to make their national television debut on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!' on Tuesday, June 24. 'We are incredibly honored to be performing on national TV for the very first time,' Hermanos Gutiérrez told The Times. 'Sharing our music with the world means so much to us, and we can't wait to step onto that stage.' The siblings, Estevan and Alejandro Gutiérrez, released their sixth studio album, 'Sonido Cósmico,' last summer to critical acclaim. It was the second consecutive LP produced by Dan Auerbach, the Black Keys frontman, and released via his record label, Easy Eye Sound. Hermanos Gutiérrez were tapped to perform at Coachella last year and recently had sold-out performances at L.A.'s Greek Theatre and Mexico City's Teatro Metropólitan. The band announced on Instagram in April that they were following their summer tour across Europe with a 12-date turn across the U.S. Hermanos Gutiérrez will bring their psychedelic atmospheric sound to California with a stop in Saratoga on Sept. 19, followed by a show in Ojai the following night. The duo recently collaborated with Mexican singer-songwriter Natalia Lafourcade on her latest album, 'Cancionera,' and will be featured in Adrian Quesada's upcoming 'Boleros Psicodélicos II,' which will be released on June 27.
