(Video) Korean-Taiwanese Girl Group GENBLUE Greets Fans & Stages Flash Mob At Pavilion KL
Meeting your favourite idols at fan events or watching them live in concert is a dream for many, but not everyone gets the chance. So, what would you do if you saw your idols performing on the streets of Kuala Lumpur in a surprise flash mob? That's exactly what some lucky fans experienced when Korean-Taiwanese girl group GENBLUE (幻藍小熊 /젠블루) visited the city recently.
The girl group is currently touring Asia to promote their debut EP, 'Act Like That', which was released in March this year. As part of the promotional activities, they held a meet-and-greet session with fans, along with a flash mob performance in front of a luxury shopping centre. Here's what went down:
On Thursday (1st May), GENBLUE members XXIN, Ayeon, Yuan, Lili, Ayako, and Nico were spotted greeting fans outside Pavilion KL. While there, the group joined local dance crew 1119 (Triple1Nine) for a special flash mob performance to their tracks like 'COCOCO' and 'Act Like That'. The Malaysian crew kicked off the show with 'COCOCO,' with GENBLUE entering during the chorus, sending the crowd into a frenzy.
The audience could be heard singing along to the idol group's songs and joining in with the fan chants. After the energetic performance, the members of GENBLUE took a moment to greet their Malaysian fans, handing out official photocards and expressing their gratitude for the warm support. Prior to the flash mob, the group held a meet-and-greet session with fans the day before, on Wednesday (30th April).
In addition to the performance and fan event, GENBLUE also collaborated with Malaysian singer and fellow idol Isaac Voo (邬凯名/아이젝), a member of the K-pop boy group SKYE. It's clear the girls have had a packed schedule during their visit — hopefully next time, we'll get to see them in their very own concert.
