The only net security provider in South Asia will be enduring peace between Pakistan & India, including a just resolution of Jammu & Kashmir.

Climate, disaster justice: Sindh Ombudsman establishes new frontline
KARACHI: In a landmark move towards enhancing justice, accountability, and inclusive public service delivery in disaster-prone areas, Provincial Ombudsman Sindh, Muhammad Sohail Rajput has established the Climate & Disaster Justice Unit (CDJU) with immediate effect and it is set to operate from his Ombudsman's Secretariat. Imdad Hussain Siddiqui, Director (Coordination) has been assigned the charge of Director, CDJU, considering his extensive experience in coordination, public service delivery, and disaster risk governance. The CDJU will act as a fast-track redressal forum for complaints arising from inaction, mismanagement, delays, or corruption in disaster preparedness, response, and rehabilitation processes. It will particularly focus on ensuring that affected individuals and communities receive their due compensation, access to basic amenities, and protection of fundamental rights during both natural and human-made crises. Beyond grievance redressal, the Unit aims to build inclusive partnerships with UN agencies, NGOs, humanitarian actors, CSOs, and CBOs to improve outreach, raise public awareness, and promote transparency. It will also work closely with relevant key government departments to ensure compliance with Sindh's disaster and climate policies. Through research, advocacy, policy monitoring, and capacity building, the CDJU is set to strengthen disaster governance and reinforce the role of the Ombudsman as a neutral, accessible platform for climate and disaster justice. This development reflects the Ombudsman Sindh's firm commitment to institutional reforms, human dignity, and prompt & free administrative and social justice for the most vulnerable and marginalized segments of society. Bilawal urges dialogue as delegation wraps up Brussels visit on Indian aggression
Pakistani delegation, led by former foreign minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, concluded its Brussels tour, calling on European leaders to assist in de-escalating tensions with India following a fragile ceasefire in May. The delegation was formed by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to present Islamabad's perspective on its recent conflict with India. The tour aimed to garner international support, particularly from the European Union, in preventing further escalation between the two nuclear-armed neighbours. "We must steer the region back from the brink of war," Bilawal said in a statement on social media, urging Europe to act as a champion of the rules-based international order. The delegation pushed for dialogue and counterterrorism cooperation with India, emphasising the dangers of a nuclear conflict. He also highlighted the challenges posed by India's suspension of the 1960 Indus Waters Treaty, which governs the shared use of the Indus river system. The Pakistani delegation expressed grave concerns about India's "weaponisation" of water resources and called for restraint after the ceasefire agreement brokered by Washington in May. 'Europe, as a champion of international law, must help us de-escalate this situation,' Bilawal said. He also raised concerns about the risk of further water conflicts, noting that the Indus Waters Treaty had yet to be revived despite the ceasefire. PPP condemns Israeli attack on Iran
