More Israeli Military Voices Call for End to Gaza War

Al Manar14-04-2025

The wave of public pressure to end the Israeli war on Gaza grows as more military voices inside the Zionist entity's military bodies call for reaching a deal to bring back the Israeli captives held in Gaza and to end the ongoing war.
Over 1,600 former Israeli paratroopers and infantry soldiers have signed a letter demanding the occupation government reach a deal to free Israeli captives and end the war on Gaza, Israeli media reported on Monday.
'We, the fighters and commanders of the paratroopers and infantry units, whose flag bears the words: 'We do not leave wounded behind on the battlefield,' call for the return of the hostages, even at the cost of halting the fighting. This is a call to save lives,' the letter, cited by Ynet, stated.
Graduates of Elite Army Academy Support Letter
Meanwhile on Monday, Graduates of the Israeli army's prestigious Talpiot program said they support the recent protest by Israeli Air Force reservists and denounce the Israeli government's war policy as serving 'political and personal interests' rather than security needs.
'The continuation of the war does not contribute to any of its stated goals,' the letter states, warning it will only lead to more deaths — including captives, Israeli soldiers, and innocent civilians — and the erosion of Israeli reserve forces. The signatories urge the public to demand action and condemn efforts to silence dissenting voices.
This is not the first time Talpiot graduates have taken a public stance. In July 2023, hundreds signed a letter refusing voluntary reserve duty in protest of the government's proposed judicial overhaul.
The latest appeals add to similar letters from Israeli reservist doctors, former 8200 intelligence unit members, ex-Mossad members, navy reservists, and reservist air force personnel.

Abu Ubaida to Israelis: Stop War on Gaza or Prepare More Coffins

The spokesman for Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas resistance movement, on Friday affirmed that the fighters are still throwing 'stones of David' at the 'chariots of Gideon,' crushing the tyranny of the occupation and causing it to perish. The resistance fighter record with their heroism the victory of the oppressed, believing group over the arrogant, oppressive group, Abu Ubaida posted. The losses inflicted upon the occupation today in Khan Yunis and Jabalia are the extension of a series of qualitative operations and a model for what the occupation forces will confront wherever they are present, according to Abu Ubaida. The enemy public has no choice but to force their leadership to halt the war of extermination or prepare to receive more of their sons in coffins, warned Abu Ubaida. Israeli media outlets reported that 5 soldiers were dead and 12 others were wounded, including 2 in critical conditions, after the explosion of a booby-trapped building in which a force from the Maglan unit was located in Khan Younis, south of the Gaza Strip.

Martyr Sayyed Nasrallah Lovers Visit Shrine to Complain Israeli Air Raids on Dahieh, South Lebanon

Hours after intensive overnight Israeli air raids on Beirut's Dahieh and Ain Qana town in South Lebanon, lovers of Master of Umma Martyrs Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah visited his shrine to mark Al-Adha Eid (when Muslims recite the Opening Surah of Coran Holy Book at graves to bless their souls) and complain about the Zionist aggression. The Israeli enemy launched on Thursday a wave of strikes targeting residential buildings in Beirut's southern suburb, Dahiyeh, on the eve of Eid Al-Adha. The Resistance supporters reiterated allegiance to the path of the great martyr, affirming that his unseen presence after martyrdom influences their commitment powerfully. The Israeli aerial aggression on Beirut's Dahieh destroyed 9 buildings and damaged 71 buildings, 50 cars, and 177 institutions.

EU chief backs ICC after US sanctions judges over Netanyahu warrant

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen has reiterated European backing for the International Criminal Court, after the US slapped sanctions on four judges it accuses of 'illegitimate and baseless actions' against Washington and its allies, including Israel. 'The Commission fully supports the [ICC and] its officials. The ICC holds perpetrators of the world's gravest crimes to account [and] gives victims a voice,' the European Commission chief posted on X. 'It must be free to act without pressure. We will always stand for global justice [and] the respect of international law.' On Thursday, the Trump administration followed through on a threat to sanction officials associated with the court, issuing sanctions against four judges. Two of the judges, Reine Alapini-Gansou of Benin and Beti Hohler of Slovenia, were sanctioned for their role in the ICC issuing arrest warrants for Israeli leader Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant in November, according to the US State Department.
