The Portuguese forward scored his 137th international goal - breaking yet another record - for his country against Germany to win the game 2-1 and secure a final spot.
Ronaldo had never beaten Germany before in his career - he has played Germany five times, losing all five but he was the difference maker in the semi-final.

MANCHESTER UNITED are in for a crucial summer of transfers at Old Trafford. Matheus Cunha is already through the door after the completion of his stunning £62m move from Wolves. And he could be joined by Eintracht Frankfurt frontman Hugo Ekitike, with United reportedly making contact to register their interest. 5 minutes ago By Ian Tuckey Chelsea 'refuse to meet Ekitike valuation' Huge Ekitike has leapt to the front of striking speculation in the Prem tonight. And it's claimed Chelsea as well as Liverpool have already put in bids for the Manchester United target. But Eintracht Frankfurt are said to have rebuffed the Blues' offer for the 22-year-old. By Ian Tuckey Cunha reveals grand design behind Red Devils' move Matheus Cunha offered a slightly new twist on players who insist they always wanted to play for their new clubs. The Red Devils' recruit from Wolves claims it all started at his GRANDMOTHER'S HOUSE. Cunha said: 'It is hard to put into words my feelings about becoming a Manchester United player. Ever since I was a child in Brazil watching Premier League games on TV at my grandmother's house, United was my favourite English team and I dreamed of wearing the red shirt. 'I want to thank my family and everyone who has helped me make that dream a reality. 'I can't wait for the start of pre-season to get to know my team-mates and prepare for the season ahead. All my focus is now on working hard to become a valuable part of the team, and helping get this club back to the top.' 23 minutes ago By Ian Tuckey Man Hu-nited? Viktor Gyokeres breaks silence on transfer drama with blunt 22-word statement as Man Utd and Arsenal battle for star

VIKTOR GYOKERES has bluntly broken his silence on his transfer fall-out with Sporting Lisbon chiefs with a brief 22-word statement. The Sweden striker has reportedly come to blows with Sporting bosses after trying to force through a dream move to the Premier League. 5 Gyokeres, 27, is allegedly furious with Sporting for going back on their word over a promise to lower his £84million release clause and plans not to play for the club again. He believes he had a gentleman's agreement to leave the Portuguese giants for £50million with a further £8million in add-ons, but that claim has been denied by president Frederico Varandas. The former Coventry striker then reportedly threatened to go on strike while vowing not to play for the club again if they don't lower their offer. But Varandas insisted he will not be bullied into letting the Arsenal and Manchester United target move to the Prem on the cheap this summer. Varandas said: ' Sporting will not accept blackmail and insults – you should know me better by now.' But Gyokeres has now tried to play down the squabble rumours by throwing doubt on some of the reports with a short statement on social media. He wrote on his Instagram story on Thursday evening: "There is a lot of talks at the moment, most of it is false. I will speak when the time is right." It also comes after reports claimed that Arsenal submitted a new bid for Gyokeres on Wednesday, with his agent Hasan Cetinkaya visiting London to fast-track the transfer. 5 5 But Varandas statement also read: "I can guarantee that Viktor Gyokeres will not leave for €60m+10m (£51m+£8.5m) because I never promised him that. "This game that the agent is playing only makes the situation worse. To this day, Sporting has not had an offer for Viktor, neither today nor last season." Inside Viktor Gyokeres' glamorous life, from dating fellow footballer and actress to luxury holidays around world "It was agreed that Sporting would not demand the release clause at the end of the following season, especially because he was going to be 27." The Swede is one of the most in-demand players this summer after scoring a staggering 97 goals in 102 matches for Sporting since joining in the summer of 2023. Last season, he netted he netted 54 times in 52 outings - including a Champions League hat-trick against Manchester City, while 39 of those goals came in just 33 league games. Despite United's interest, Arsenal remain favourites to nab him, with new director of football Andrea Berta a big fan from his days at Atletico Madrid. Gyokeres has removed any reference to Sporting on his Instagram account, having also got rid of any mention of Sweden and Nike. He has three years remaining on his contract in Lisbon, but he is determined to take on a new challenge after just two years at the club, where he won the league twice, and completed a domestic double this season. United boss Ruben Amorim, who managed Gyokeres at Sporting, has since been linked with a shock move for Liverpool and Chelsea target Hugo Ekitike. 5

Palestine FA makes complaint as penalty ends World Cup dream

The Palestine Football Association (PFA) has made an official complaint to world football's governing body Fifa and the Asian Football Confederation after a controversial late penalty ended their hopes of qualifying for the 2026 World Palestine leading 1-0 in Tuesday's tie, Iranian referee Mooud Bonyadifard gave Oman a penalty in the seventh minute of injury time. Issam Al Sabhi converted from the spot to make it 1-1, a result that sent Oman into the next phase and knocked Palestine out of contention.A statement from the PFA said: "Following a thorough review of the official match footage, and various replays shared across media platforms and social networks, it has become evident the penalty decision lacked the necessary refereeing criteria and did not meet the technical standards required to justify such a call. "This decision was clearly unfair to our national team."The complaint calls for a comprehensive investigation into the circumstances surrounding this incident and a review of all related refereeing procedures. This step aims to uphold sporting justice and ensure the integrity of international competition."Neither Palestine nor Oman have ever qualified for a World Cup, with Oman still hopeful of being one of 48 countries to play in the 2026 tournament, which is being held in Canada, the United States and will now play in a three-nation group in October, facing two of Indonesia, Iraq, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, and will qualify if they win their section.
