Three counties have been issued a status yellow rain warning as gusty winds and heavy showers are set to hit Ireland.
The warning will be in place on Monday from 2pm until 10pm in Galway, Mayo and Kerry. Met Eireann warned there will be heavy rain with very strong, gusty southerly winds near the coast potentially causing localised flooding, poor visibility and difficult travelling conditions.
This afternoon will be breezy with a mix of sunny spells and scattered showers mainly in Ulster, Leinster and Connacht and will be more isolated in Munster. They will continue in the east this evening and will gradually die out. Highest temperatures of 13 to 18 degrees with moderate to fresh west to northwest winds.
It will be largely dry tonight with long clear spells as any showers become isolated early in the night. Lowest temperatures of 5 to 9 degrees with light westerly winds.

"Bank holiday Monday will start mostly dry with sunny spells and isolated showers. Rain will develop in the west in the early afternoon and spread eastwards through the late afternoon and evening, turning heavy with spot flooding possible. Becoming windy also with fresh to strong, gusty southerly winds and with gales along the west coast. Highest temperatures of 13 to 17 degrees."
Monday night
"A wet start to the night with widespread rain gradually clearing into the Irish Sea. Scattered showers and clear spells will follow behind. Lowest temperatures of 6 to 10 degrees with westerly winds decreasing moderate to fresh."
Tuesday
"Breezy on Tuesday with a mix of sunny spells and showers. Highest temperatures of 12 to 15 degrees in moderate to fresh westerly winds."
Tuesday night
"Showers continuing overnight, heaviest and most frequent in the west and northwest. Lowest temperatures of 7 to 10 degrees in light to moderate southwest winds."
