Canadian Investigative Journalist Mocha Bezirgan, who was physically assaulted by multiple Khalistanis in Canada on Sunday, said that an assailant was also a stalker, who had been tailing him for over a year. Bezirgan, in a conversation with ANI, said that the said Khaliststalker doxed his movements and assaulted him in front of the police. "Well, I'm still in Vancouver and it just happened two hours ago, not too long ago, and I'm still shaking because I was surrounded by multiple Khalistanis who acted like thugs. Shetty, a prominent right-wing youth leader associated with the Bajrang Dal in Karnataka's coastal belt, was brutally murdered last month in Sullia town of Dakshina Kannada district. The activist, in his early 30s, was attacked by unidentified assailants while returning home late at night. He succumbed to his injuries on the spot. The incident triggered widespread protests in the region, with local Bajrang Dal and Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) units alleging a targeted killing. Official sources, privy to the development, told ANI that 'the MHA has handed over the case to the NIA for investigation and registration.' On May 1, a group of people came in two vehicles and blocked the way of Shetty, who was moving in a car with his friends. They then hacked Shetty to death. Doctors reveal 9-year-old girl found dead in Dayalpur had no heartbeat, blood-soaked clothes
New Delhi [India], June 8 (ANI): Doctors reported that a nine-year-old girl found dead in the Dayalpur area of northeast Delhi arrived at the hospital without a pulse or heartbeat. They noted that her clothes were soaked in blood, and she was bleeding profusely from her private parts. The victim was initially taken to Dr. Aleena Nursing Home by family members before being referred to a higher-level medical facility. Dr Aleena Saifi, who examined the child, stated, 'Around 8:15 PM, some people brought the girl to our nursing home. Her pulse and heartbeat were absent. We checked her for about one to one-and-a-half minutes and found bleeding from her private parts. There were no other visible marks of injury on her body. We immediately referred her to a higher centre.' Dr. Sirajuddin Saifi added, 'Around 8:15 PM, people from the locality brought the girl to our nursing home. She was completely unresponsive. I asked the female doctor at our facility to examine her. The doctor noticed blood stains on the girl's clothes. We then referred her to a higher medical facility.' Upon reaching the location, the police team found that a minor girl in an unconscious state had been taken to JPC Hospital by her father, where she was declared dead on arrival, police added. Earlier, police said that a call regarding the sexual assault of a minor girl was received at Dayalpur police station on June 7 at 8:41 pm. Prima facie, the attending doctors at the hospital observed visible injuries on her face and alleged sexual assault, police said, adding that crime and forensic science laboratory (FSL) teams are currently inspecting the spot. A case has been registered under sections 103(1), 66, 13(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO Act), police added. Teams have been deployed to collect the clues and arrest the accused as soon as possible, as per the police. (ANI)

FIR against HDFC Bank MD-CEO by loan defaulter
New Delhi [India], June 8 (ANI): An FIR has been filed against HDFC Bank's MD and CEO by a certain Mehta family that defaulted on a bank loan provided back in 1995. The private lender informed stock exchanges on Sunday evening, as it vowed to continue all lawful remedies to recover the dues from the defaulter. In 2001, Splendour Gems Limited, owned by the Mehta family, defaulted on loan facilities granted in 1995 by HDFC Bank along with the other consortium banks, the HDFC Bank informed stock exchanges. Despite a recovery certificate issued by the Debt Recovery Tribunal in 2004 and subsequent enforcement actions, the dues remain substantially unpaid, the bank said. The outstanding dues towards HDFC Bank, including interest, amount to approximately Rs 65.22 crore as on May 31, 2025. 'In response to ongoing recovery proceedings, members of the Mehta family have initiated multiple legal actions and complaints against HDFC Bank and its senior officials. These include criminal complaints, minority rights petitions, and representations to regulatory authorities--all of which have been dismissed or are under legal challenge. HDFC Bank firmly believes that these allegations are retaliatory in nature and have mala fide intention solely at evading repayment of long-standing dues,' the bank said in its statement. Mehta Family, once again, through Lilavati Kirtilal Medical Trust, has filed a complaint against HDFC Bank's MD and CEO. HDFC Bank unequivocally 'rejects and strongly condemns the malicious and baseless allegations levelled and maintains that these allegations are completely false, outrageous and constitute a gross misuse of the legal process.' HDFC Bank firmly believes that 'these actions (by Mehta family) are a deliberate attempt to obstruct and undermine legitimate recovery proceedings related to substantial long-outstanding dues owed by Splendour Gems Limited.' 'Having exhausted all legal avenues without success, these individuals have now resorted to launching personal attacks against HDFC Bank and its MD and CEO in a clear attempt to malign their reputation and intimidate HDFC Bank into halting its recovery actions. These actions appear to be a calculated distraction from their own failures and liabilities,' the bank added. In the statement, HDFC Bank reiterates its commitment to the highest standards of corporate governance. HDFC Bank said it has robust internal controls and compliance mechanisms to ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements. 'HDFC Bank's governance framework is designed to uphold transparency, accountability, and ethical conduct in all its operations.
