
9-Year-Old Syrian Child Abducted and Sexually Assaulted by Kuwaiti Man
KUWAIT CITY, March 31: The Criminal Security Sector, represented by the General Department of Criminal Investigations – Capital Governorate Investigations Department, successfully solved a child kidnapping and assault case within a record time of less than 24 hours. The crime took place in Maidan Hawally on the morning of Eid.
The case unfolded when security authorities received a report about a child found on a street in the Capital Governorate, suffering from physical injuries as a result of sexual assault. The Capital Governorate Investigations Department immediately launched an intensive investigation and swiftly identified and arrested the perpetrator. Officials confirmed that the child is in stable condition and has been referred to the Forensic Medicine Department for further examination. During interrogation, the suspect fully confessed to the crime. Further investigations revealed that he has a history of similar offenses and a criminal record related to drug-related crimes.
The Ministry of Interior affirmed that the relevant authorities are continuing legal proceedings against the accused and reiterated its commitment to protecting society by taking firm action against crimes that threaten the safety and security of citizens and residents.

Authorities also found capsules containing so-called 'folk remedies' prepared by the suspect and dispensed without any medical oversight. During interrogation, the woman admitted to practicing medicine without any formal medical qualifications or a license from the relevant authorities. She also confessed to importing some of the medications from abroad and purchasing others from local pharmacies. The accused has been referred to the appropriate legal authorities for further action.

Fake Accounts and Stolen Identities: Nepali Fraudster Caught in Kuwait
KUWAIT CITY, May 28: In a continued crackdown on financial crimes, the Financial Crimes Combating Department of Kuwait's Criminal Security Sector has arrested a Nepalese national accused of involvement in a sophisticated bank fraud operation. The suspect was wanted in connection with two cases — No. 2253/2024 and No. 2234/2024 — both related to banking fraud. Authorities uncovered the scam after discovering that the suspect had been purchasing bank cards and SIM cards from individuals within his community. During a precautionary search, officers seized eight bank cards and four SIM cards from his possession. Upon interrogation, he confessed to possessing additional items at his residence. A subsequent search led to the confiscation of 12 more bank cards, 16 SIM cards, and a number of bank documents and blank SIM cards. The suspect admitted that he supplied these cards to an accomplice who shipped them abroad for use in fraudulent schemes aimed at stealing money from unsuspecting victims. The accused has been referred to the Public Prosecution, and legal action is underway. Investigations are being expanded, and authorities are coordinating with international counterparts to identify and apprehend additional suspects involved in the operation.
