Hercule Studio Introduces The French Art Of Exercising Beautifully
Hercule Studio draws on the power of design to inspire movement.
The hardest part about exercise or any fitness regimen is getting started. Most of the time, we find that initial surge of motivation in design. A stylish activewear set from Port de Bras or Vuori ever fails to inspire an invigorating workout. Whenever I struggle to find the will do a yoga flow, spin or Pilates class, I put on my favorite pair of leggings and sports bra and I am suddenly a ball full of energy. The same theory applies for fitness spaces and equipment. Design-driven studios enhance the fitness experience. At home, my growing collection of yoga mats from Onyx, Manduka, Stakt, and (now defunct) Füro Studios turn even an express workout into a ritual of self-love and movement. in 2022, a new brand from France was launched, furthering the design conversation within the fitness space.
Hercule Studio's Mar Yoga Mat in Midnight Black
Founded by former elite athletes, Jérémy Arbibe and Joy Lucas, Hercule Studio was built as a 'creative brand that designs exclusive sports objects.' Design, craft, creativity and artistry lie at the core of the label. 'Hercule Studio represents the philosophy of exercising beautifully, the French art of moving. We wanted to take a different approach by putting beauty at the service of well-being. Our goal is to elevate sports accessories as a source of motivation and to view movement as a catalyst for overall well-being, rather than performance or competition.,' says both founders.

The product offering is primarily made up of yoga and exercise mats. Large format and rounded as well as wave-like shapes support a wide range of movements as well as sense of alignment. Comfort, mobility and stability shape the unique details of each mat. Hercule Studio also carries other accessories like comfort pads, carrying straps, and aromatic mat sanitizers. Jérémy and Joy share, 'This journey required three years of research and development focused on product design, ergonomics, materials, shapes, and expertise from diverse industries as well as trend study. Each creation begins with a consumer study aimed at understanding the strengths and weaknesses of the current market offerings as well as consumers' expectations in terms of ergonomics.'
Design that engages that senses and aesthetics that motivate movement is a core pillar that informs how Hercule Studio's products are made. Durability, sustainability, and safety are also key considerations. 'We are fortunate to be based in the French Riviera, a region known for its colors, lights, unique architecture, and iconic artists such as Matisse and Picasso. This rich environment fuels our inspirations for shapes, colors, and patterns.' Hercule Studio's Archy Terracotta Mat, for instance, draws from Pierre Cardin's Palais Bulles. Meanwhile, the pebbled coastline of Nice was inspiration for the Galé Comfort Pad,

Only a year after launching, Hercule Studio's exercise mat and pad was recognized by the New York Design Award. In the same year, the brand was also awarded the DNA Paris Design Award for exceptional product design under the Sport and Leisure category. 'Of course, the brand initially appealed to wellness enthusiasts, design lovers, and early adopters seeking a mate that fits their lifestyle,' say Jérémy and Joy. 'We also discovered a new clientele–people eager to start exercising, looking for a motivating accessory to help them get started.' Hercule Studio is currently available at Goop and SSense.
More recently, the brand has also partnered with Prada for a wellness retreat which was held at Geko Studio in the South of France. Joy expounds, 'Prada's iconic green identity was expressed through the Archy mat in Pistachio, immersing guests in the distinct worlds of both brands. Bespoke Hercule Studio mats were gifted to attendees, fostering a lasting connection between fashion and well-being.' The co-founder discloses that Prada and Hercule Studio will host more bespoke wellness events in the future. Apart from that, the brand has also begun collaborating with top tier hotels and upscale fitness studios.
Hercule Studio's mats are made in France, PVC-free, tested to withstand over 100,000 rubs.
The brand's founders add that, 'We are currently conducting a neuro scientific study with one of Europe's leading life science organizations to prove that training with a Hercule Studio object enhances well-being. We are developing new innovative products to offer a truly immersive experience. We are also working on more exciting collaborations with top fashion brands and renowned artists.'

VALLOUREC OBTAINS THE QUALIFICATION OF ITS HYDROGEN STORAGE SOLUTION AND LAUNCHES COMMERCIALIZATION
Press Release VALLOUREC OBTAINS THE QUALIFICATION OF ITS HYDROGEN STORAGE SOLUTION AND LAUNCHES COMMERCIALIZATION Meudon (France), June 5, 2025 – Vallourec, a world leader in premium seamless tubular solutions, announces the official qualification of Delphy, its vertical gaseous hydrogen storage solution, by DNV. A world first, Delphy enables the storage of 1 to 100 tons of hydrogen under maximum safety conditions. Thanks to its minimal footprint, this vertical system - extending up to 100 meters underground - meets the challenge of complex and demanding industrial environments. It targets both green hydrogen producers and industrial players such as synthetic fuel producers (e-SAF, e-methanol), green ammonia producers, steelmakers, and refineries. The Delphy solution is the result of Vallourec's longstanding expertise and know-how and is based on proven technologies - tubes and connections - that have demonstrated excellent tightness and corrosion resistance. Launched in 2022, the project has involved around thirty researchers and experts, particularly in the areas of high-precision threading, heat treatment, and non-destructive testing. Since the inauguration of its demonstrator in December 2023, Vallourec has followed a rigorous process of development, testing, and validation of its hydrogen storage technology, culminating today in the qualification of Delphy. This qualification by recognized experts guarantees the solution's safety and reliability and marks a key milestone towards its commercialization. Vallourec has already signed two Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs): one with H2V, for green hydrogen production and utilization projects, and one with NextChem Tech, for green hydrogen and green ammonia projects. Around fifty projects - in France and internationally - are currently under discussion, representing potential revenue of approximately €2 billion. This qualification comes at a time when demand for storage infrastructure is expected to grow, to adapt to the intermittent and flexible nature of green hydrogen production. Demand for the Delphy storage solution will be fuelled by European regulations, which require storage solutions to pair with renewable electricity production, and by the French hydrogen strategy, which encourages green hydrogen producers to operate flexibly to contribute to power grid stability. Philippe Guillemot, Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO of the Vallourec Group, commented: "The qualification of Delphy illustrates Vallourec's ability to leverage its industrial and technological expertise for new energy solutions. Thanks to the excellence of our teams, we are able to offer this unique solution that meets the challenges of developing the global hydrogen sector. This key milestone reinforces our position in the hydrogen market and our leadership in supporting global decarbonization efforts." Santiago Blanco, Executive Vice President & Director for Southern Europe, Energy Systems at DNV commented "DNV is proud to validate Vallourec's Delphy hydrogen storage solution—a milestone in safe, scalable hydrogen infrastructure. With our Energy Transition Outlook model projecting a need for 188 million tons of hydrogen annually by 2050, flexible storage like Delphy is critical to bridge renewable supply and industrial demand. As hydrogen unlocks decarbonization for hard-to-electrify sectors, independent technical assurance will be key to accelerating deployment and building market confidence." TikTok blocks #SkinnyTok due to extreme weight loss, disordered eating content
TikTok says it has blocked search results for the hashtag "SkinnyTok"due to a high volume of content that was promoting disordered eating and unhealthy weight loss behaviours on the social media platform. "We regularly review our safety measures to address evolving risks and have blocked search results for #skinnytok since it has become linked to unhealthy weight loss content," said a statement from TikTok emailed to CBC News Wednesday. "We continue to restrict videos from teen accounts and provide health experts and information in TikTok Search," the statement read. The term SkinnyTok has become widely used to describe an online subculture of influencers and content creators that promote extreme thinness. Under the umbrella of #SkinnyTok, creators make videos with snappy one-liners such as, "Skinny is the outfit," encouraging viewers to achieve their goals by following extreme weight loss advice. LISTEN | How viral social media trends around body image impact young men: Now, searches for SkinnyTok will yield no results except for a message that prompts users to check out expert resources. In Canada, viewers will see contact information and links for groups such as the National Eating Disorder Information Centre and Anorexie et boulimie Québec. TikTok's decision to block SkinnyTok came after the platform noted an increase in content promoting disordered eating and unhealthy weight loss behaviours earlier this year, according to the spokesperson. In April, France's Minister of State for Digital Affairs Clara Chappaz reported the hashtag to the country's digital watchdog and the European Commission. Chappaz and French nurse Charlyne Buigues have been campaigning to have TikTok block the hashtag since April. A petition Buigues started to get the hashtag banned gained nearly 35,000 signatures. On June 1, Chappaz said in French on X: "Today, @tiktok just confirmed to me that it has finally removed this unacceptable hashtag from its platform. This is a first collective victory. I salute it."
