Science North launches a new exhibit with more than 100 LEGO sculptures
LEGO lovers in Sudbury and surrounding area will have the perfect venue for a date, or some family time, this Valentine's Day.
Science North is launching a new exhibit that will feature more than 100 sculptures made of LEGO from artist Sean Kenney.
Kenney, and his team from Amsterdam, brought more than two million LEGO bricks to the science centre to build the sculptures, which range from a massive red dragon, to a life-sized squirrel.
"One of the things that's really amazing about this is that there is no limit when it comes to what you can use LEGO bricks for," said Science North CEO Ashley Larose.
"And I think that that's one of the big wow factors for our visitors."
In addition to the sculptures, the exhibit, called Sean Kenney's Brick Masters Studio: Build with LEGO Bricks Like a Pro, will also have some hands-on sections where visitors can experiment and make their own LEGO creations.
"I think there's also something kind of meditative about putting bricks together," Larose said.
