Summary: Severe storms still possible this morning as storms clear from west to east along a squall line. Heavy rain, lightning, hail are all possible through 10am as a severe thunderstorm watch continues. Flood watch for our northern counties until noon with a flood advisory until 9am for our central counties. Skies see some clearing into the afternoon allowing temperatures to climb into the 70-80's.

Isolated strong to severe thunderstorms will be possible through the late afternoon and evening, with the primary threat being damaging winds. The high will be 82 degrees under mostly cloudy skies. A passing shower or thunderstorm is possible tonight, with a low of 62 degrees. Areas of patchy fog will develop late for some. Monday will be mostly cloudy with a 30% chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms. The high will be 83 degrees. A better threat for scattered strong to severe thunderstorms will be possible Monday evening, especially for our western counties. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will continue Monday night with a low of 63 degrees. Tuesday will be partly cloudy and mild with a high of 81 degrees. Mostly clear skies are expected Tuesday night with a low of 58 degrees. Skies will be partly cloudy on Wednesday with a high of 84 degrees. Wednesday night will be mostly clear with a low of 60 degrees. Thursday will be partly cloudy with a hot high of 85 degrees. Scattered rain making for a soggy Sunday
Today: Scattered rain, high 77 Tonight: Broken clouds, low 64 Monday: Afternoon t-storms, high 74 (58) Tuesday: Partly cloudy, high 76 (59) Wednesday: Mostly sunny, high 82 (64) Thursday: Partly cloudy, high 86 (67) Most of today's rain showers are expected to fall during the first half of Sunday. Then by the afternoon a few more isolated showers and storms will pop up across central Ohio. A few areas also continue to deal with light wild fire smoke that will impact air quality index values throughout the day. Temperatures will warm up to the upper 70s and humidity will remain elevated as well. Tonight brings mainly dry conditions. Skies at times will even begin to break up a bit. A couple of spotty sprinkles cannot be ruled out either. The area continues its stretch of above average overnight lows as temperatures only drop to the mid 60s. Ather the center of low pressure moves off towards the east, attention turns to a cold front that will impact central Ohio by Monday afternoon. Along this front, showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop and some of those may lean on the stronger side. The Storm Prediction Center has areas along the I-71 corridor in a marginal risk for severe weather. This gets bumped up to a slight risk further east. Strong wind gusts appear to be the primary threat with this storm. There is still a small possibility of both large hail and an isolated tornado or two. The storms are expected to begin bubbling up sometime between 2pm-6pm. The later they do develop the stronger they will be. High temperatures on Monday will reach the mid 70s. Clearer and drier conditions return by the middle of the week. More sunshine and lower humidity will stick around as above warmer temperatures make their return. Alert Day Issued for Severe Weather Risk in Maryland on Sunday
We woke up on Sunday with very similar conditions to Saturday: temperatures were essentially the same and there were a few light showers on First Alert Radar to start both days. On Sunday, however, we're tracking the risk for strong or even possibly severe weather during the afternoon and evening. A First Alert Weather Day is in effect for Sunday. The strongest storms are most likely for areas around and south of US route 50. Storms could produce any form of severe weather: strong winds, larger hail, isolated tornado. High levels of humidity increase the risk for heavy rain. A FLOOD WATCH is in effect for western Maryland through late on Sunday. Monday looks quieter but not necessarily completely dry. A few showers are possible to start the week. Tuesday also brings another chance for rainfall before drier conditions return midweek. Once it dries out, it also warms up! High temperatures return to the mid to upper 80s and low 90s for Wednesday through at least Friday. The next chance for showers is expected for next weekend.
