Windows 10 system updates officially end in October and now the Indian government has issued an advisory asking people to act before the deadline.
Windows 10 support is officially ending in October this year, which means it is time to look beyond your existing Windows systems if the new 11 version is not compatible. The Indian government is notifying its users in the country about this big change this year and shares a note of advice to the affected Windows users. There has been a lot of talk around the end of Windows 10 operating system which is still a core part of services and most businesses rely on the platform for their functioning.
The Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) issued the advisory on June 21 giving ample time for people to decide their next move to prevent losing their personal and important data.
'Users of Windows 10 are recommended upgrading to Windows 11 to continue receiving critical security updates. Individual consumers and organizations who need more time to transition to Windows 11 have the option of enrolling in the paid Extended Security," the CERT-In advisory clearly highlights the situation and who is going to be affected by the big change from Microsoft.
The biggest issue with this change is that Windows 10 systems will not get the official security updates after the deadline, and hackers will be already eyeing these people whose systems will become vulnerable as the security support runs out.
Windows 11 has been around for a while, so it is not like a completely new version. However, Microsoft continues to bring new AI tools to the operating system, which is why the TPM 2.0 security is paramount for the machines. The UI of Windows 11 is refreshing and you will mostly find it fluid and responsive to most tasks. The start menu has a new position on the taskbar and most of the tools are in the form of apps now.

India moves towards deeper nationwide Wi-Fi coverage: Jyotiraditya Scindia
New Delhi: India is moving towards a future where Wi-Fi is accessible in every corner of the country, Union Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia said on Tuesday. Speaking at a special conference organised by the Broadband India Forum (BIF) on the occasion of World Wi-Fi Day 2025 here, Scindia announced that the government is taking bold steps to ensure nationwide Wi-Fi coverage -- both wide and deep -- which will help drive growth across sectors. Highlighting the government's major policy reform, the minister confirmed that the country is moving ahead with the delicensing of the 6GHz spectrum, a crucial move that will enable faster, more reliable internet. 'The relevant rules will be notified on or before Independence Day this year,' he said. He emphasised that the government's role is evolving from being a regulator to a facilitator and that technology must be made available for all, without favouring any company or technology. 'This is a day to celebrate the freedom to connect, to create, and to rise. As adoption increases, costs decrease. Penetration is growing, even into rural heartlands,' the minister stated. 'We are already running 5G use cases across 13 villages, providing 10 essential services in each. Now, we want to ensure that every Indian has access to high-speed internet, whether they are at home, at work, or in remote areas,' Scindia added. The event was also attended by leading policymakers, industry leaders, and technology experts. BIF Chairperson Aruna Sundararajan, in her opening address, stressed that Wi-Fi will play a central role in achieving the government's vision of connecting the 40 per cent of India's population that still remains offline. She pointed out that with over 80 per cent of internet use happening indoors, Wi-Fi networks -- especially with the 6GHz band -- are better suited than mobile networks in such environments. 'The delicensing of the 6GHz band will help India adopt modern technologies like Wi-Fi 6E and Wi-Fi 7. This will boost new areas like augmented reality, cloud gaming, and 8K video streaming. It's a big step toward better user experience and innovation,' Sundararajan said. The BIF reiterated its commitment to supporting initiatives like PM-WANI and the delicensing of the 6GHz spectrum. The forum believes these steps will help turn every Wi-Fi hotspot into a powerful node for data access and processing, enabling faster and more inclusive digital growth across the country. Dr. R.S. Sharma, former TRAI Chairman, said "PM-WANI is a visionary public Wi-Fi framework designed to democratise broadband access, it is the veritable UPI of Telecom Sector". "By creating an open, secure, and interoperable framework, PM-WANI hotspots act as digital doorways empowering local entrepreneurs and ensuring last-mile internet access at scale. With low-cost infrastructure, public Wi-Fi can serve as a digital equaliser -- to bridge the digital divide and empower every citizen," Sharma added.

Speaking at the group's annual shareholder meeting, Adani said , 'Operation Sindoor called, and we delivered.' He highlighted that loitering munitions produced by Adani Defence executed precision strikes, while its counter-drone systems safeguarded Indian assets against retaliatory threats. 'Our drones became the eyes in the skies as well as the swords of attack, and our anti-drone systems helped protect our forces and citizens,' he said. Adani Partnership With Israel Developed in partnership with Alpha Design Technologies (26 per cent owned by Adani Defence) and Israel's Elbit Systems, the SkyStriker loitering munition or kamikaze drones can carry 5-10 kg warheads, fly silently at low altitudes up to 100 km, and precisely strike targets. 'As I have always believed – we don't operate in safe zones. We operate where it matters – where India needs us the most,' Adani said. Adani began the address to the annual general meeting by saluting the brave soldiers guarding borders. Adani On Operation Sindoor 'This year, during Operation Sindoor, our brave men and women in uniform stood tall. Not for fame, not for medals – but for duty. Their courage reminded us that: Peace is never free, it is earned. And that the freedom to dream, to build, and to lead – stands firmly on the shoulders of those who protect,' he said. Adani said the world around has changed dramatically over the past 12 months. 'Over 60 nations went to the polls. Borders were redrawn, alliances tested, and economies shaken. In the Middle East, war continued to cast shadows on energy and logistics. In Europe, economic confidence stumbled. The United States had its own challenges. And yet, in the middle of all this noise, India stood apart and grew faster than any other major nation,' he said. This, he said, was not a coincidence. 'It is the result of vision. Of intent. Of policy. I say this with full conviction that the Indian Government, both at the Centre and across the states, has laid down the foundation for a truly historic transformation – a transformation not of a few, but for an entire nation whose best chapters are just beginning.' Despite global headwinds – from geopolitical instability in the Middle East to economic turbulence in the West – the Adani Group's chairman said India stood out as a beacon of growth due to visionary policymaking and bold national intent. 'India is writing history not of a few, but of a billion dreams.' In a year marked by scrutiny, including US regulatory inquiries, Adani reaffirmed the Group's adherence to global governance standards. 'No one from the Adani Group has been charged with violating the FCPA or conspiring to obstruct justice,' he said, pointing out that truth often speaks softer than negativity but carries more weight. Financially, the Group recorded Rs 2.71 lakh crore in revenue and Rs 89,806 crore in adjusted EBITDA. A healthy net debt-to-EBITDA ratio of 2.6x was maintained, even as annual CAPEX is projected to touch USD 15-20 billion over the next five years. 'And our numbers tell their own story. Even in a year of turbulence, we saw record-breaking revenue, unprecedented growth and historic profitability.
