Pick your Tottenham player of the season
We asked our Tottenham fan contributor for their four candidates for player of the season and you can now select your top one.
Lucas BergvallBergvall has more than lived up to the promise he showed in pre-season. Not only has he excelled on and off the ball, he has never stopped striving for the win. When more seasoned professionals around him have struggled to lead the team, this young player has risen to the challenge.Dejan KulusevskiDeki had a particularly strong start to the campaign and is integral to our pressing style and ball retention. Don't let his time out with injury shorten your memory - the Swede's statistics speak volumes as to his dominance in a Spurs shirt this season.Djed SpenceA breath of fresh air and a much-needed injection of hope, Spence's performances this season have demonstrated what it means to play without fear. He has been a joy to watch as he took on the opposition with courage and creativity, driving us up the pitch at home and in Europe.Dominic SolankeThe engine of our team, Solanke simply never gives up. Even when heads behind him in midfield have dropped, he has kept running, kept pressing, kept trying. Some will criticise the number of goals scored, but no-one should underestimate the crucial work Solanke has done off the ball for us this season.Honourable mentionsBrennan Johnson still receives a mixed reception from some of the Spurs faithful, but you can't argue with his impressive goal contributions this season – not only the number, but the significance of some of the goals too. As for Archie Gray, what an outstanding first season from him - and in an unfamiliar position. Thrown in at the deep end, at times he outperformed his more experienced peers. To dare is to do, indeed.Pick your 2024-25 Tottenham player of the season from our shortlist hereAnd tell us why you're picking who you are, or why you'd have gone for another player not on the list, here

Arise, Sir David Beckham
'England trail by two goals to one. Beckham could raise the roof here with a goal,' goes the commentary, as David Beckham lines up a free-kick against Greece, shortly before whipping it into the top corner. 'I don't believe it! David Beckham scores the goal to take England all the way to the World Cup finals! Give that man a knighthood!' The year was 2001, and the ultimate honour seemed close for England's biggest football player – and perhaps the most famous living Briton, full stop. Yet as the longtime Beckham watcher Zoe Williams describes, it has been a long wait. As she tells Helen Pidd, Beckham was a pioneer for many reasons in the 1990s and early 2000s: a gay icon in a masculine world; an openly loving dad; and, of course, an extremely successful athlete. But his career has been beset by scandal, too – from reports of affairs, and allegations over his tax arrangements, to disappointments over his association with Qatar. Still, on Friday it was finally announced that Beckham was to receive his knighthood – the fruits of a campaign for the honour that started more than a decade ago. So why now? And what does it say about the UK's honours system – and its class system – that it took so long?

Man Utd open Victor Osimhen talks as Emi Martinez makes transfer decision
Manchester United are set for a huge summer in the transfer market and they have already completed the signing of Wolves star Matheus Cunha, with plenty more deals expected to be done in the coming months Manchester United have plenty of work to do this summer as they look to bounce back from a poor campaign under Ruben Amorim. United endured their worst ever Premier League season as they finished 15th and also lost 1-0 to Tottenham in the Europa League final. The Red Devils have already strengthened their squad with the signing of Matheus Cunha from Wolves, while the likes of Christian Eriksen, Victor Lindelof and Jonny Evans have left the club after their contracts expired. Plenty more incomings and outgoings are expected this summer, with Marcus Rashford, Antony, Alejandro Garnacho, Jadon Sancho and Tyrell Malacia all likely to leave the club. With that in mind, Mirror Football has taken a look at some of the latest news and rumours from Old Trafford... Martinez makes decision According to ESPN Argentina, United have opened talks with Aston Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez over a potential move to Old Trafford. Martinez is expected to leave Villa this summer and it is claimed that he would prefer to join United, having also been linked with Galatasaray and teams in the Saudi Pro League. The World Cup winner could replace Andre Onana as United's first-choice goalkeeper. Onana has made a series of errors since joining the club and has recently spoken out about rumours surrounding his future. Speaking at an event in Burkina Faso, Onana told Afrik-Foot: "Will I leave? I don't know, we'll see!" Osimhen talks opened Victor Osimhen looks set to leave Napoli this summer and Footmercato are reporting that United have resumed talks with the striker after he turned down a move to Al-Hilal. The report states that Galatasaray remain hopeful that they can convince Osimhen to join permanently after he scored 37 goals in 41 games during a loan spell last season, but United could now hijack the move. Amorim is keen to add more firepower to his squad after Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee disappointed last season, with the pair managing just 17 goals in a combined 105 appearances across all competitions. Leverkusen eye Man Utd target United have been linked with a move for Manchester City youngster James McAtee, but Bayer Leverkusen have now emerged as a potential destination for the midfielder. According to Sky Germany, McAtee has been identified as an option to replace Florian Wirtz as he is on the verge of joining Liverpool. And City boss Pep Guardiola has admitted the club may be forced to sell McAtee so the 22-year-old can play more regularly. "For the age, I'd like him to stay," Guardiola said back in April. "But I understand players want more minutes. He can play different positions but I don't know how the squad will be and we will see."
